Geomancy is true, in China they used to never build anything without consulting first on magnetic and ley lines, I don't know if they still do that or not but Hong Kong was still using it (usually more for interiors as feng shui).

Geomancy is true, in China they used to never build anything without consulting first on magnetic and ley lines, I don't know if they still do that or not but Hong Kong was still using it (usually more for interiors as feng shui).

Do you remember the term degaussing? It was a part of the PC color CRT monitors, there was in the menu as "degauss". You had to degauss the monitor every time and when, in order to keep the geometry and colors healthy. It was a de-magnetizing process somehow, and it was producing a strange noise too :)

@hrbear - interestingly, to play some types of videogames so's they display properly means you have to turn your monitor 90 degrees, if you do that w/o unplugging it then it'll get messed up and require degaussing.
There's a link with 90-deg shifts and i (sq. rt -1).
One such game is Radiant Silvergun - the inserts (the anime backstory) of that game have something in them about how the robot guy causes the future to occur in the way it does.
