Did anyone catch the irony of "Do not believe everything you read"? Optimus when he was Orion was a clerk who was assigned the task of reading documents and such. As far as I know, he did believe everything he read.
This small video was better than the new 3 movies. Thats all there is to it: 1.Close to original design 2. ORIGINAL VOICE CAST 3. A fight that doesnt cam away or hide its coreography behind pieces of metal flying by the camera.
THAT'S what i call a real fight just from 0:18 to 1:00 i never saw a fight with every move showed in any Transformers movies. Imagine that fight show like that in real. i will never be able to see a fight more hot than that.
He still sounds like he did in G1, Frank Welker said he's trying something different to show more emotion and stuff, rather than just being shouty all the time. <=P
Not to mention, without the effects they did in the show, his G1 Megatron voice doesn't sound as good, which is what how they left his voice in the movie videogames.
Ugh Transformers fans say this show is good but I just can't take it. Why do you they have to make the robots look so shitty and why do they have to focus so heavily on humans. In my opinion the War for Cybertron game is the only good depiction of G1 characters since the original G1.

Also, it's your lose if you don't want to watch the show, it's freaking brilliant, the humans aren't even that bad, especially Fowler, he's awesome, just be grateful that they're not like the humans in the Unicron Trilogy.

I don't need goofy expressions to be able to read a character.
I completely understand people not being satisfied with Movie Megatron and Optimus conflicts, but some of you need to understand how much effort goes into filming the fight scenes in the movies. ILM has to not only design the robots, but also have to place them perfectly on the ground, get the correct lighting, timing, and also make the world interact with them. All has to be done while the camera is quickly moving around.
It's A LOT harder than having an entire CG show with simple CG robots.
Michael Bay got it right in the first movie......Megatron is a BAD ASS. Prime is too and he's my favorite hero from the 80's, but where did this excuse that he "held back" come from? It's never mentioned in the movie or even suggested!! That's ridiculous.....Megatron is simply that powerful, and Prime needs every advantage he can get to defeat him. Read the good novels from IDW & Dark Horse- very good battles between the archrivals!

Watching this sometimes make me think that if the creators could make the transformers fights as violent as in the live action films, they would, but even then there they're still a step up above the earlier shows in that area, when one pauses to think what Megatron's face would look like if he weren't a robot after that beating from Optimus.
One thing I really found iritating about the movies is that they say that the war took centuries and Cybertron was turned into a husk. How does all that happen when the fights we see last at best 2-3 hours and they die with a single good hit? THIS is why the war took centuries and turned an entire planet into a battlefield. They are both literally the best made machines and the best soldiers wrapped into one.
i guess in michael bay's eyes, people don't just want to see optimus fight megatron. They want to see optimus KICK THE FUCKING SHIT out of megaton, so I guess that's why he cut straight to optimus killing him.

I dunno. If you ask me, Michael Bay was always looking for an excuse to make the character weaker than the other when they're supposed to be equal. In first film, Megatron was stronger because Optimus was holding back to prevent human casualties, in the second film Megatron mostly looked rather clumsy and sluggish from being rebuilt using inferior Decepticon parts, and in the third film...well...that was just a cheap disappointment on account of Michael Bay's laziness.

I recall from what I learned is that he was actually made stronger because he was empowered with the Allspark fragment. I mean you gotta admit he looked bigger and better with his arm blaster and new sword. The basic point to make with Bay's depiction of Optimus and Megatron is that he didn't show enough of their hatred, contempt, and rivalry. But overall I believe the Bay films was awesome.

He took a human form to avoid being found. So he could blend in and avoid being captured. It didn't have much to do with 'weakness' as with lazy writing and Michael Bay just rushing the end.

I like how they started with doing a gun fight simultaneously with hand to had combat. I thought it was pretty original, and pretty much never see something like that anywhere.
Prime Optimus does know he's a solider though, and in a war his job is to kill enemy combatants. He would love that war to be over, would never attack anyone who didn't pose a threat and holds back a little in a fight (he's lucky that he’s powerful enough for him to be able to do that) but he's still willing to kill.
The difference here is that he's made death a mission objective, which he would normally balk at. Especially considering Megatron used to be his friend.

I like how they started with doing a gun fight simultaneously with hand to had combat. I thought it was pretty original, and pretty much never see something like that anywhere.

Prime Optimus does know he's a solider though, and in a war his job is to kill enemy combatants. He would love that war to be over, would never attack anyone who didn't pose a threat and holds back a little in a fight (he's lucky that he’s powerful enough for him to be able to do that) but he's still willing to kill.
The difference here is that he's made death a mission objective, which he would normally balk at. Especially considering Megatron used to be his friend.
