I take it back. I see the flaw now. You're okay as long as you have some kind of buff that protects you from normal attacks, but my warlock does not. And although I was able to avoid his volley easily, he still used his normal attacks to shoot me off the dragons back before I could finish him.

I've always stayed really close to him and used the same rotation as you until the dragon died and then I finished him off with my own spells and weapons. But that was with my plate wearers. My spellcasters cant do that, so I'm glad I found this video.

The Drake was too frustrating to use, it's too big and awkward to use to try and kill someone on a tiny platform. Use your own flying mount and kill him yourself, guys, a lot easier.

For hunters, get out a tanking pet, fly on to the platform, and have your pet tank it, use mend pet accordingly and move out of volleys, fuck the drake.

I was about to give up on this quest. One last attempt and I got it. Key was to get UP HIS ASS. I got so close he attacked me first then I spammed the keys. I didn't even bother trying to avoid the volley. Killed him with about 25% life left.

I was having problems, but I found a way to beat it with the new re-design. If you hover over the roof and spam the rotation that Jame showed you he cant see you or attack you. Works great as of 3.3.5. Thanks Jame!

If you start with ability 2, then ability 3 does double damage. If you are having trouble, that should put you over the top.

Also, you really should make sure you get out of the volley.

Pretty sweet quest... I did what this guide said but it just wasn't enough... at the end when he killed my mount I was right beside him and I finished him off as a Fury warrior it wasn't that much of a big deal with Enraged Regeneration and Gift of the Naaru. Thanks for the tip.

I didnt even need the dragon if you can solo the guy just hop off your dragon and kill him yourself. I used my 76 Enhance Sham to get the job done without the dragon.
