  • awesome performance..... everything is presented... everything.....

  • Looks great! Don't pay any mind to these anonymous fellows that go around and criticize to anonymously boost their ego. There is internal alchemy going on inside you, that's plain to see. Everyone is on their own path and are their own center of the universe.

  • Hey tks! Still trying to focus on the internal strength though :-)

  • I agree with you wing2510 - it does look more like exercise or moving just the muscles rather than moving from the inside out. You seem to have the basic form. But not quite Qigong yet in my opinion.

  • I have studied and enjoyed the benefits of the first 64 movements and am about to study with a Master and learn the next 64 movements. Do you have them posted as well?

  • hi everyone, lack of constant practice!

  • Thanks for offering this, you did a nice rendition.

  • Grace, poise, balance, fluidity, strength, focus, flexibility, sensitivity, precision, confidence, love, adaptability. Thank you for a most instructive demonstration. The Universe smiles upon you. I believe that I would have swooned in ecstasy, had I seen this first hand.

  • Chen style was developed during China's feudal era and I dont think they went with swords just for show. Taiji is a battlefield martial system that was a family secret so they could maintain their edge, one Chen master was a garrison commander and through history the family was called upon to provide protection to others against nasty people with weapons and no police about.

This is where it developed, today Taiji is mostly about health and the family have some good Qigong too.

  • Early in the set it rsembles Soaring Crane Qi Gong as taught my Dr. Nianzu Li.

  • @mumbleora - Soaring Crane founder incorporate some Dayan movement into his style and called it Soaring Crane. The story is the founder "took" this technique from Dr.Pang of Zhineng Qigong, when he(Pang) was in China prison.

  • not bed, too slow in most of forms, but not so bed...

  • The purpose and nature of qigong and tai chi are the same. Tai Chi is a form of qigong. They are both designed to free your flow of energy, therefore free your mind.

  • This is NOT at all true. Tai Chi is a martial art, it's development stems from qigong, and its purpose is to fill oneself with energy in order to be discharged into someone else in a moment's notice. The goal of tai chi is to kill another, the goal of qigong is to heal oneself.

  • Yes, Tai Chi is a martial art, No, the goal of tai chi is not to kill another. It is purely defensive in all moves, by neutralizing or absorbing the attack, and returning it. But the larger point of tai chi is indeed the nurturing, and circulation of the Chi, through proper alignment, balance, and relaxation of the joints and muscles. Indeed, one could say qigong and tai chi have the same purpose, as very few tai chi players even know the martial aspect of the art.

  • The "purely defensive" is total bullshit. That's what people without knowledge say when they misunderstand their movements. It's almost as ridiculous as saying that in karate, blocks are taught in kata. The martial purpose of taijiquan was first, and qigong principles were slowly added. To say taijiquan and qigong serve the same purpose is also total bullshit. In qigong , ALL forms are balanced, unless it's medical qigong with a purpose trying to off balance an energy for corrective purposes.

  • Ah, how to respond to such arrogance, while maintaining tai chi principles.... I would point out that I have studied Tai Chi for over 30 years, I have learned the martial aspects that are hidden to many. Reading classics of tai chi will teach that the nurturing and protection of the chi is a prime purpose, equal to it's martial purpose. Indeed, without the use of chi, there IS no tai chi form, no martial art. Chi is inherent in every move. And, martial art can mean defensive, can still damage.

  • @figaro51 tai chi has offensive moves.

  • @okudensensei You do not know what you are talking about.

tai chi is not about killing.

  • I'm so amazed to see so many videos on 大雁气功 on youtube. I thought nobody knows it now. So happy to see that a lot of westerners are learning it. However, the different forms they are learning make me worried......I learned it from my father, who was directly taught by Yang Meijun 30 years ago. Not quite familiar with what it looks like nowadays but it is not supposed to change dramatically, right?

  • @greatgibson - May I know which country are you from. Would like to meet up if destiny permits. I am from Singapore. Hope to hear from you soon. thks.

  • @uniforce101

Hi! I'm from China and I am now living in the US.

  • Just really beautiful.

  • Thank you!, Wildgoose qi gong is hard to find online, I was looking for some videos. Thanks again!

  • my father like qi gong you can put more qi gong video on it thank for put out the video thanK You!!!

  • Sorry to say that It seems you're doing excerise more than practising Qi Gong. Anyway, Thanks for your sharing.

  • Thanks for your comment. I was not so calmed and relexed enough when the video was taken. I'm still workiing on to totally drain of my thoughts while practising, still searching for the wisdom of thought throughout my life journey. Appreciate your comment.

  • Do it a little bit more slowly. Don't vary your speed, the movements should be so even that every movement is carried out with similar velocity. There could be some small variation in rhythm while necessary, but don't lose control of yourself, don't just let your body do whatever it wants. It's dangerous.

20 years ago I first knew this but I didn't work hard on it. Time really flies......

  • River moves slow, and sometimes fast and steady again.

Like a wind ,everything in nature varies and constantly changing

  • Interesting comment. What is qi gong? How do you define qi gong?

Sometimes I ask people what is the difference between qi gong and tai chi, and I get an explanation of what the words mean, but not an explanation of the nature or purpose of qi gong or tai chi.

  • I intended this as a response to wing2510, below.

  • Hi Shakirah,

Wow! Is great to hear that the DYGG is so popular in so many countries now. I agree with you about the importants of how we feel on the insight while you practice. I believe that you are very enjoyable, dedicated and passionate towards your teaching of DYGG. Bravo!

  • It is the truth that some my forms are different from others. I could only explain that my teacher may have modified some forms or could have picked up from her master. Well, it has been more than 10 years since then. I feel comfortable with the forms & I still trying to perfect it. As one relaxes its mind without negative thought, it will not be harmful to its body. I am glad that you are truthful & concerned about the precision of DYQQ. Thanks for sharing.

  • Hi ginarita, Wild Goose Qi Gong has been brought to North and South America and Europe by Grandmaster Gao Yun and I learnt it form Gao Yun's daughter Master Bai Yin (Taiwan)in Germany. I have been teaching the first part of this wonderful basic exercise to my German students for 9 years now - still with love and dedication. You can watch my interpretation of Bai Yin's version of Wild Goose Qi Gong on "Qi Gong for life - Die Schwanenübung". Different from yours - and still the same! Regards Doris

  • Yes I saw that it was different from what Master YangMeijun demonstrated......

I still recommend you to try the original form.

  • @greatgibson - I agreed with you. Pls try the original form. You can watch it performed by the son of GM Yang on Youtube under 'sohatoshare1' Right on this page, by the side of this post.

  • I learned wild goose a few years ago and I learned it again and is still in the middle of the course. What I want to say is that you are not actually performing well and I believe some of your form are wrong. Sorry to say that but to perserve the right concept of the da yuan qi kong, I believe there is still room for improvemnt for you.

  • Hi wwshho, I think there is no such thing as the "one and only" form or version of a Qi Gong method. Listen to your body carefully while practising and you will feel through your qi, if you "perform well" or not. Don't allow any form to become "more" than yourself. Qi Gong methods are only tools, it's the one who practices them that counts. We must fill a form with our own inner core to make it work for us, and that's why there are so many individual forms, as many as people practising Qi Gong.

  • Please tell us who you learned the skill from and allow us to examine your own form if you wouldn't mind. I am very interested to see how you have perfected this form. Your teacher must have learned from someone who has great knowledge and a close connection with it's lineage.

  • it was nice to see you performing wild goose .i forgot how beautiful it looks ...

  • Thanks for the compliment. R you one of the DaYanQiQong practitioner too? I hope you enjoy the flow of energy within your body while practising the graceful movement of DYQQ. Isn't wonderful. Regards
