Hi. I tried exactly what you said to place a png logo into iMovie (picture in picture) but it becomes pixelated. It's nice a crisp when I preview it, but I have no idea why it's not crisp on iMovie. Do you know how to fix this?

@CheeseCakeMups iMovie enlarges the image to the resolution of the project. For example, if you are making a movie in 720p the image will distort if it is smaller than 720 pixels.

When, I drop my graphic on my timeline, it ends up sliding to the front or end of my timeline not sitting on top like your demo. Any suggestions? I am using imovie 11. I never see the options for picture in picture or anything. I did set up "Show Advanced Tools" in the preferences.

Problem:

It works but I can not use transitions in the movie, are disabled by having the logo on the top. And if I copy and paste the logo in the next scene PIP not inserted in the new movie, I have to bring back the logo and cut back everything to a new scene. Please help

I tried inserting the picture, but is doesn't give the "Picture in picture" option, Any reason why?? I erased the background using Instant Alpha and also saved it as PNG

I have tried the instant Alpha method but still seem to see a little 'fuzz' around the picture once in iMovie. Is there something I am doing wrong in preview using the instant Alpha?

@ketanmandalia Do you know how to field strip an M-4 rifle? Its really easy, but I wouldn't say you are dumb for not knowing. Things usually seem simple in hindsight. No one is "dumb" about anything, they just haven't been taught yet. I recommend keeping a humble outlook on life, you never know when you might be the "dumb" one. Oh, and good call on turning on the advanced tools, I should have mentioned that.
