@xenoninc no it hasnt been tested on a rooted nook tablet i dont believe what id recommend is holding off for the lite version which we pulled due to bugs that way you can try manually supporting the device and seeing if it works before dropping the 3 bucks unless you want to just give it a whirl
Thank you for your quick response. I have another question. I have a Droid X and you forum says to have your phone on a Gingerbread second initial rom. I have Cyanogenmod on Gingerbread. I want to install some ICS roms on the phone, but it has a constant bootloop. Is there any way to get the MIUI ICS to run? Would it run if I made my phones rom an ICS rom? thank you for your help!! :D
I'm mobile and have very limited data right now sorry I can't. If you can go to the root wiki forums and go to galaxy nexus GSM and development and its Franco's 14.4 right near the top. Its actually for cdma too. Thanks bro
The link to the kernel is rootzwiki(dotcom)/index.php?/topic/10647-[KERNEL][GPL][27-JAN---#14.4]-franco.Kernel-|-4.0.3-|-OC-|-UV-|-INIT.D-|-COLORCONTROL
@amazinglasers didn't come through right i replaced the (dotcom) with .com and all and get a 404 error stop by our forum and create a thread i'll be happy to help you there
Hello, thanks for the app and video!! they were great!! I have a couple of questions. First, is there an option to sync your apps and data between the separate ROMS? that would be amazing!! and second question, when you switch between ROMS, will the apps and data still be on that ROM from the last time you booted from it? For example; I go onto MIUI and install the game "Wheres my Water" onto it, then go to Cyanogenmod, then boot to MIUI again, will I see that game on there still? thanks!! :D
@roysguitarskills no syncing apps and data is something that's not really possible apps maybe but their data couldn't be synced so that's something that won't be happening unfortunately. We recommend using titanium backup though for backing them up and restoring. You can also restore nandroids to slots. Second question yes any change you make on a rom will still be there when you boot back to it, it's basically like having multiple phones
@dog1212 wow! Thanks for the fast response. So, it just doesn't apply to the Galaxy Nexus? Thanks, this looks sooooooooooo coool! This is a crack flashers dream!
@amazinglasers yea just doesn't apply on the gnex it wouldn't do a thing and should really be hidden for that device we'll catch that in the next release
@dog1212 Cool! So, if I want to update a rom should I just override with the new version? Also, isn't it kind of like having 6 slots if you count the phone rom? For example, I can have the rom that I set up on my phone rom, and then 5 others, so it's pretty much 6.
@amazinglasers If you wanted to update the rom you would just install it over the slot with no wipes in most cases or however the dev instructed you to update it in recovery just do that using boot manager. But this video with the slots is now a bit dated we released an update yesterday which allows you to do unlimited slots so you can add as many as you can fit :)
@dog1212 I see, that's great! Also, say for whatever reason I wanted to flash my rom through recovery and not boot manager like you showed. Is it possible to flash my rom, install boot manager through the market and have everything be there, and then back up a slot based on what I did through recovery vs. having to flash it through boot manager?
@amazinglasers if you flash anything through recovery it's going to affect your phone rom even if you're booted to your sd rom recovery only can touch your phone rom and that's all it's going to mess with so no you have to use boot manager if you want to make a change to your sd slot rom else recovery will mess with you phone rom. You can however install something to your phone rom make a nandroid and restore that nandroid to a slot hope that answers your question
@dog1212 I just ran into another issue. When I booted into a new rom I installed when I opened up the pre installed boot manager it was like nothing else was there. My slot 1 wasn't there and my phone rom didn't exist...
@amazinglasers sorry i went out um did you swipe over to extras and come back sometimes it just needs to refresh the pages and did you set up your phone rom. If you have issues please stop by our forum or email us support is offered at both
@dog1212 Hey sorry, one more question. When I try flashing a kernel via the flash kernel method it doesn't flash, the kernel that I flash just isn't flashed. It's weird because the kernel comes with a boot animation that shows up, but the actual kernel doesn't seem to just, work. Should I just flash the kernel like I would gaps through just install zip?
@amazinglasers nah kernels have to be flashed in their installer it won't work in the regular installer but link me the kernel you're trying to install and i'll take a look at it
in version 2.2.1, is there a force lager boot img button or no? i was just wondering cause it's not letting me update the app on my phone... if there's not, will i still be able to download an ics rom for my phone (thunderbolt)
@whatbeup9263 no it was added in V3.1 and not trying to point fingers here just something we see a lot usually users who are on versions before 3.0 are pirated since i wrote some strong security in 3.0 which hasn't been cracked. If you are using a pirated app they're all broken (part of our security) please purchase via the market the new version and everything will work smoothly
I followed everything, and everything installed fine, but when I hit boot rom it reloads but it stays in the LG logo.. nothing happened.. any ideas?
