  • I went to the Alamo about 2 months before the movie came out. If I'd known about the basement joke, I could not have resisted asking about it.

  • I met this guy...his name is Arnold. He told me this video had 40,000 hits. Im callin bullshit.

  • @MrSixtyninecamaro same ;P

  • This guy is talking like there really IS a basement at the Alamo

  • This reminds me of the time I had dinner at Emeril's restaurant in Las Vegas.Every asshole that put salt or pepper on his food yelled out "BAM" at the top of his lungs. It was pathetic to say the least.

  • @martinthorpe very accurate

  • yeah i made a girl ask to see the basement and they said there are two basements at the alamo and both of them are off-limits. sadly, she didn't understand why I found this so funny.

  • I'm not sure which building. I thought it was the Spanish mission, but one of the buildings on the Alamo compound HAS a basement. THERE IS A BASEMENT AT THE ALAMO. I've see the steps in the back that lead to it.

  • He did NOT keep his bike in the basement of the Alamo. A fortune teller that swindled Pee Wee out of his money just told him that his bike was in the basement.

  • @brs456 Correct... she was reading off of a building marquee, "Al and Moe's Appliances... Bargain Basement Prices"

  • @brs456 You're exactly right!

  • There is a basement in the Alamo Giftshop Museum. Many of the employess there believe it is haunted.

  • Hey Mr. Original! He gets that question 5 times a day

  • I want to go to the alamo just so at the end I can ask where the basement is.lol

  • I visited the Alamo a few years back and this is the same tour guide I (jokingly) asked about the basement. He gave me the exact same answer you got here, although he played it off and didn't mention Pee-wee at all. We both smiled and I said "ah, the man knows!" I believe his name is Ray, if I'm not mistaken. Thanks for sharing this.

  • haha, this reminds me of a time when our family was touring Washington DC...we'd just seen some FBI building (i don't remember, i was 2 or 3 at the time), and the tour guide asked if there were any questions. My brother (age 13 at the time), raises his hand and asks "Where do you keep the bullets?"

  • that's my dad
