Every fighter does not dehydrate themselves and ad 10-15lbs before they step into the ring. Carwin, Lesnar, and Brett Rogers are some of the very rare cases of big hw guys around 280lbs having to dehydrate themselves to reach the 265 limit. Lesnar, Carwin, and Rogers are actually Super Heavyweights who dehydrate themselves to burn 15-25lbs of water and then they gain the weight back by rehydrating themselves this avoids the 265 limit to the heavy weight division. It's called "cutting weight".

that's a good point...however, brock outweighs him by 30 or more pounds. Even though many of his appointments have been heavier than Fedor (including Rogers), can you really tell who is "better" when someone has such a clear weight advantage? none of the other weightclasses have such disparity. why is it that the heavy division can pit 230 pounders against 300 pounders? or 265 or anything.

There is no hw in their prime in ufc, they cost to much ask white, lol. He only has the affordable one's, green and way past their prime. No wonder fedor isn't fighting in ufc, lol. Um.... he just handled rogers who cuts to 265 from 280, did you miss the fight? It's too bad it was a good hw matchup, no doubt not something you're used to in the ufc :)))

Rogers is huge and hits heavier than we've seen Brock ever do. No he's not as ripped as Brock but fits perfectly into the "285 pound monster" category.
Funny how Fedor needs to prove himself over and over and over again. Every time he beats someone the haters find one or two more names to howl about. IMO the complete double dismantling of Big Nog is well enough. Big Nog, who will serve Brock, if Brock ever recovers from his sniffles.

Fedor was fighting some decent competition but we both know hes not fighting the best in the division right now.
Youd rather him fight Rogers again over Brock, Carwin or even Frank Mir? Well, you want Fedor to win via one-punch KO so you probably would want a rematch.

Rogers should not and will not get a rematch, unless he earns it. He deserves it just as much as Brock deserved the title shot he got. Sure I'd like to see Fedor go against every possible HW the sport has to offer, the main problem here is that companies own fighters through contracts thus some fighters will never meet. I don't agree however that the UCF has the best HWs save for Big Nog really.
Fedor should find a way to get Overeem now.

I understand the politics of the fight game but Fedor could have come to the UFC once Affliction folded. The rumor I heard was that M1 wanted way too much.
I mentioned Overeem earlier here and possibly even Werdum. The UFC may not have the best heavys but they are clearly the biggest and most stable of all the companies out there and I believe that the UFC has the best fighters of every other major weight class. The heavyweight division has just taken longer to find the true talents.

Dana White is still talking about a interim tittle but Lesnar is just facing H1N1 intestinal problems (Oh I'm sure it's not the oxycotton he admits taking or the Steroids/Growth hormones he won't even properly deny taking).

It's a shame that you know so little about MMA outside of the UFC that you wouldn't consider a Fedor vs Werdum or Fedor vs Alistair Overeem(Who may just be K1 Champion and the guy to beat Fedor) worth wile fights. I mean I want to see entertaining fights not some 280-290lbs guy cutting weight to make 265 sitting on 225-245lbs guys pounding someone in the face for 3 rounds. I want to see a good fight and that where Fedor has delivered that Lesnar hasn't.

Lesnar and Carwin would be better fights regardless of your opinion but theyre the best Strikeforce has to offer.

His brother has always been a light heavy and big nog fights smaller heavyweights, being a small heavyweight himself.
Is it so hard for you to understand that the heavyweight division is evolving into ACTUAL HEAVYWEIGHTS now? Not these 225, 240 small heavys but actual 285 heavys.
Couture moving up and beating Sylvia was a complete joke and those days are over.

Nogueira not Nogueria and he hasn't always fought as a Light Heavy weight he was actually fighting at middleweight. 225-240 is not SMALL HEAVY WEIGHT YOU DILDO. 235-240 is the average heavyweight. Mike Tyson was 217lbs in his prime. Couture is a natural light heavy weight.

Like I said before, the division is evolving and we're finally seeing guys who weigh in at the upper tier of the weight limit.
225-240 is NOW a small heavyweight and NO LONGER average.
The talent in the division are much bigger than they once were and the smaller heavys have no choice but to drop to 205.
Look at the heavyweight rankings TODAY and tell me the average guy weights 235.

Every fighter does not dehydrate themselves and ad 10-15lbs before they step into the ring. Carwin, Lesnar, and Brett Rogers are some of the very rare cases of big hw guys around 280lbs having to dehydrate themselves to reach the 265 limit. Lesnar, Carwin, and Rogers are actually Super Heavyweights who dehydrate themselves to burn 15-25lbs of water and then they gain the weight back by rehydrating themselves this avoids the 265 limit to the heavy weight division. It's called "cutting weight".

It's a bit surprising that the reviewer is so impressed with Fedor when the person in that fight who actually did more than expected was Rogers. Fedor fighting someone who has never even tasted top 10 level offense (no, AA didn't do anything) is a nothing to gain, everything to lose scenario. If/when another divisional champ fights that kind of competition people complain like mad.

I'm a fan of MMA, as well as Fedor, too but I'm just getting a bit tired of that he's not getting the fights that he should. The HW division is already the weakest so it's a shame to see it so divided as well, which makes it harder to produce top competition for him.

I watched the fight like 10 times...it was so amazing. Fedor always makes his fight interesting...just as interesting as your recap! Though Rogers did earn my respect by defending 2 of Fedor's submission attempts.
