fighting a superior force isn't done on the terms of the aggressor, it's done in civilian clothing and is very nasty. think about how the french resistance and what they did. look at the VC, look at the Sandinista and south American guerrilla fighters. they all were very successful with what they had. the VC pioneered countermeasures for thermal night vision. If the intent is to grant the right to keep and bear arms to EVERYONE, why mention "well regulated militia"? Why not just: The right of the people to keep and bear arm shall not be infringed? Without mention of "well regulated militia" the context cannot be confused. Currently, the 2nd Amendment could be seen as meaning "the people" whom are referred to are those "people" whom are a part of a "well regulated militia" Seems to me that the amendment needs to be amended to omit the term.

Well it may come to that and we do train all who are willing. However Women and children under the age of 14 fill other rolls in the Cause. It takes a support staff of 3-5 for every Combat Arms Militiaman to be able to do his duty. Biblical warfare guidelines are what we follow. After the main line Militia there is also an Alarm Squad that consists of the Elderly, Handicapped and disabled folks that guard the rear, garrison areas and secure sensitive locations.

Actually I was not thinking straight there for a moment. I was thinking about what it was to be a well-respected Governor during the time of our Founding Fathers and the Second Amendment. Now all you have to be is loaded with money.
Militia is great and all but let's remember one thing, an established militia known to organize in certain locations can be rounded up by those who would oppose them "...enemies foreign or domestic..." on the other hand, private individuals assigned to flying columns in times of crisis cannot be rounded up unless they make themselves known to be part of a militia. The best militia is one that cannot be found in peace but is ever present in war.
It's coming some day, but if we all get out and vote to STOP OBAMA this time, we'll have a lot longer to prepare, and a lot longer to beef up the movement. People are getting wise, but more time = bigger movement, better preparation. More time for me to stockpile ammo & canned goods ....

It may be possible to put up good resistance in the cities while wearing civilian clothes etc.The American revolutionaries were not alone as they were supported by another great army of the time the French. My attitude does not come from fear it was a genuine military question and a valid one. If you are willing to die then go ahead as that is all that will happen to you. fighting a superior force isn't done on the terms of the aggressor, it's done in civilian clothing and is very nasty. think about how the french resistance and what they did. look at the VC, look at the Sandinista and south American guerrilla fighters. they all were very successful with what they had. the VC pioneered countermeasures for thermal night vision. The militia is very important for domestic security someone needs to watch the watchers the media isn't doing it.

If the intent is to grant the right to keep and bear arms to EVERYONE, why mention "well regulated militia"? Why not just: The right of the people to keep and bear arm shall not be infringed? Without mention of "well regulated militia" the context cannot be confused. Currently, the 2nd Amendment could be seen as meaning "the people" whom are referred to are those "people" whom are a part of a "well regulated militia" Seems to me that the amendment needs to be amended to omit the term.

Well it may come to that and we do train all who are willing. However Women and children under the age of 14 fill other rolls in the Cause. It takes a support staff of 3-5 for every Combat Arms Militiaman to be able to do his duty. Biblical warfare guidelines are what we follow. After the main line Militia there is also an Alarm Squad that consists of the Elderly, Handicapped and disabled folks that guard the rear, garrison areas and secure sensitive locations.

Our GDP is over 14 trillion dollars. So when you look at it like that, a 6 trillion dollar standing army with tactics and years of war experience and study trumps 100 men in a backyard playing with machine guns. I like to shoot guns as much as the next guy, but a militia isn't necessary, join the army if you want to fight.

A standing army is capable of purchasing expensive weapons and aircraft that even millionaires couldn't afford. So in light of that, a standing army is a strong army. When faced with those who want to actually take away our freedom, our standing army could destroy anyone in our path and protect that freedom.

But even so, we don't fight against armies with muskets anymore. China has a 100 billion dollar standing army. Assume they fought us? What would be better for the U.S.? Im all for second amendment rights but these guys just look like they are either too old/unfit or lack the commitment to just join the actual military. They want to play with the toys and play soldier on the weekends while the real commitment and the real fighting is in the US military. Maybe some of you older folks are vets and I appreciate that, but I think its time to turn it over to the next generation. Militia is great and all but let's remember one thing, an established militia known to organize in certain locations can be rounded up by those who would oppose them "...enemies foreign or domestic..." on the other hand, private individuals assigned to flying columns in times of crisis cannot be rounded up unless they make themselves known to be part of a militia. The best militia is one that cannot be found in peace but is ever present in war.
