@magpieeye well not exactly i live in northern ontario in canada and the population is very very small like 3000. people usually have to either travel 2 and a half hours to the vets or wait for the vet to come into town. There's not alot of options for people in rural communities like ours in big cities like toronto or even in the states i could see being able to bring your cat or dog to those types of clinics but not for us. i mean i would have to work 2 years to afford that

@PigeonTech If your cat is still in heat, then she is not spayed, because getting spayed means removing her ovaries and uterus, which means they lack the required organs to produce hormones to desire to get mated.

@3towngurls The hormones are produced from the ovaries. During the spay procedure, both the uterus and the ovaries are fished out. Im a surgical vet, and has done the procedure hundreds of times, so I know that it is impossible to produce these hormones. I would really like to know where you are getting your info from, because what you are saying is contrast to saying a pariah can still get a queen pregnant without testicles.....

2. If you think that all you need to do is get it "fixed" and feed it you SHOULD NOT own a cat.
3. Cats are not your "baby" no matter how much you love them.
4. Cats can take better care of themselves outdoors than you can by adopting them so be prepared to learn everything about them that you can to help them adapt to your world. There's a lot to learn.
5. Buy a dog if you aren't smart enough to own a cat.

I just personally think it's insane to think of them as your ACTUAL children. There is a reason they are called CATS, domestic or not, and not called 4 legged humans with purring issues. One of the biggest problems pets face is that people try strip them of all their natural qualities that make them so beautiful and unique from humans.
