  • With life it's always something...

  • @phekwig That's how we know we're alive, clearing gunk from a blocked dishwasher - you wouldn't choose to dream that! Keeps it interesting at any rate wondering what's around the corner and how we'll deal with it! Cheers, Lesley

  • loved the guitar playing!

BTW I work for BT too!

  • @P1X1E56 I'll pass that on to Max - his barely audible comment was "don't judge me on this!" but I think he did an amazing job for just figuring out the tune with his teacher for 30 mins!

It's a small world and BT is everywhere!! Joe's based at the big bit here in Ipswich doing things with strange job titles - like 'voice champion". Cheers, Lesley

  • Luckily Joe could fix it! If that would have been me, to have it repaired would have cost as much as getting a new one not to mention the time it would have taken to go and find one, get it delivered, and get it installed! I wary just thinking of it...LOL

Bravo Max!! Nice guitar too! Is that a Strat?? Max looks like he enjoys playing...that's good...since he's got talent! "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly", perfect sound track for the day...:-)

  • @GreatGig1 Caylyn I thought we'd have to buy 2nd hand as there's no money, which would have a real hassle. Joe's such a star when it comes to practical stuff and I helped a bit with getting the thing apart - team Darling!

Yes it is a Strat borrowed from Uncle James. Everyone has told us Max is musical since he was a toddler so we asked guitar or piano and he went for guitar. Just adores it and his teacher. They have fun so it doesn't seem like learning, Max picks it up 1st go! Cheers, Lesley

  • Max is growing up so fast! He's doing well on that guitar, hey? Makes me want to get one just so I can play that song! Great fun. Lovely to see you and the family! = )

  • @Pippilly Yes he's almost as tall as me! He's getting very grown up - he's 10 now and a pleasure to spend time with. He's got a real talent with the guitar and picks up a tune straight away. His teacher just comes over and plays with him for half an hour and sometimes he has a tune to teach him sometimes Max asks for something and they figure it out there and then. I find that so amazing as I can't play anything but the fool! Cheers, Lesley

  • I've never had a dishwasher, so I wouldn't know the first thing about them...lol. Glad that you got yours fixed. Oh, my goodness...look at Max! He's growing up so fast. Great job on the guitar Max! hugs, Chris

  • @bugsinrug We were fine without until we got one, now I find it hard living without it 'cos it saves so much time with four of us in the family. Yes Max is getting older and I can't seem to stop it! But he is turning into a lovely guy and his guitar is something he really enjoys. Cheers, Lesley

  • Viva making do and mending!

  • @billpg You're absolutely right. We try not to be a throw away family particularly with the big stuff. It's been a great dishwasher and I think it's got a good few years in it yet - hope I haven't tempted fate? Cheers, Lesley

  • you two are so sweet working together..

  • @Dlorezzz We make a great team Dolores, it's one of the reasons I married him, we've always been able to work together. He did the lion's share but I certainly helped figure out how to get it apart! Cheers, Lesley

  • 12 years is a long time for a dishwasher. We have hard water here as well. I hope you get many more years of service out of it now.

Max sounds great. A brilliant job.

  • @timido66 I grew up with soft water so I really hate the hard stuff here. But I think we've done well with the dishwasher - a new one would probably last a lot less. We're hoping it keeps going at least till next year as there's no money left after the new TV!

Max is in love with that guitar, playing makes him so happy! We've worked out he's had 34 hours of tuition, the joy it's given us all is priceless. Cheers, Lesley

  • I think you're lucky your dishwasher has lasted so long in a hard water area.... Max did well on his guitar!

  • @twish1999 We have been lucky, it's been a great dishwasher and this is the first trouble we've had! Seems to have gone through the wash cycle and it's all sparkly inside so I'm going to put the tea things in and hope for the best tomorrow! Max loves his guitar and his teacher is ace, they just have so much fun it makes me wish I had a talent! Cheers, Lesley
