Driving through Mordialloc a few weeks back, on ABC radio a woman SMS'd that there was a UFO or something over Sunshine. (The host dismissed it as soon as he read it out, naturally).

I was stopped at the crossing lights so I looked in that general direction and, wouldn't you know it, some shiny, silver thing in the sky, approximately over the middle of Port Philip Bay. Saw it for 2-3sec then it was gone. Vanished, seemingly.

This has been debunked. Skeptoid has done a pod cast on this and with very little investigation he was able to show that these ppl have changed their stories. Not that they are deceptive it is just they were very young . Their story sounds like an airforce unit was doing some sort of practice and the thing that they thought was space craft was a target being towed by another plane. The rest is make believe.

Another thing that I came to think of after watching the movie is that there is no talking about the SOUND of the saucers! I mean, if these people were so close to it... Excellent documentary. I remember studying the Westall case in the early days of my quest to learn everything good, bad, or indifferent in the field of UFOlogy (early to mid 70's). I'm especially pleased to see that James McDonald's work in the case was not only represented, but also, done in an accurate & positive manner. There are perhaps better known UFOlogists but McDonald's acumen in this field was, and is unsurpassed. His death was a tragedy & a travesty. RIP
