  • HUMMIN THE BASSLINE! i so need to play this game again ( jet set / grind radio )

  • Man, has this been featured in a tony hawk game before? That'd be EPIC

  • LOL SO JET GRIND RADIO

  • The soundtrack's liner notes officially state that this was a tribute to Hideki Naganuma and his music for the similarly conceptual video game Jet Set Radio, hence the reference to "Hummin' the Bassline" in both the composition and the name of the track.

  • AIR GEAR + ME = ME HAVING NO LIFE WATCHING THE RE-RUNS OF THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN ,

  • Is this related to Jet Set Radio? o.o

  • Dude this sounds like Jetset radio.

  • @Dreamcube017 Same composers, probably... The show, I have never seen, though. Could be based off of Jet Set Radio

  • @stopwatchrewind I don't think so. I've not seen the show either but the artist is Stank.funk and unless Hideki Nakanuma (composer for JSR) changed his name, it's a different composer. A friend told me that the entire show is like JSR though, so with that being said, they probably told the composer to make songs that sound a lot like songs off that game.

  • @stopwatchrewind Oh, Hideki Nakanuma also made the music for Sonic Rush. Check out those songs as well. They're pretty good. Some good ones are What U Need, Jeh Jeh Rocket, and Brand New Day.

  • @Dreamcube017 Aw, yeah. What U Need sounds a lot like Let Mom Sleep from Jet Grind Radio. Same composer, no doubt!

I'll, um, be spending the rest of the day, there, now, hahah....

  • @Dreamcube017 Have you heard Get Edgy? Lots of likeness!

  • @stopwatchrewind Yes. It was pretty cool... Oh, Hideki Nakanuma is at Anime Central this weekend. I was there on Friday, but sadly I didn't get to stay to see him.

  • Reminds me of Jet set Radio ^_^

  • It sounds like "Humming the Bassline" from Jet Grind Radio. I guess that's why it's call "Not HUMMING but Vibin"

  • nver heard this in the anime

  • this entire series reeked of JGR influence, which is why i loved it so much! without the producer even mentioning, i could tell that this anime was pretty much what you would get if you made JGR into an anime

  • @plyerv wat does JGR stand for? im too lazy to google it xD

  • @DynastyWarriors4Ever

jet grind radio, or some just call it jet set radio lol it was a highly stylized rollerblading/graffiti game for dreamcast, and was just as remembered for its soundtrack as it is for its innovative visuals. hope that helps lol

  • @plyerv oh xD thanks ^__^

  • @plyerv isn't it on the origanl xbox as well? i remember reading on wikipedia after reasearching the anime.

  • @kbaptiste28 the sequal came out on xbox when sega went bankrupt and the dreamcast went under ( thats when sega started putting thier games out on other consoles.)

  • This is so jsr :D I knew it as soon as I saw the word "Hummin" Sweetness!

  • This song goes so sick with the background on the vid. I know all of the ones are the same but this song goes with it!! Freakan Ikki's new song (in my head)

  • the preferd term is vibin

  • wow so much like Humming the baseline from JSR. wonder if it was a way of giving tribute to the game.

  • @MrDeathHormone Definitely JSR inspired, the guy who created the series even said it was

  • c', c', c'mon

  • sounds like squashing a duck? ahh wells, nice song tough :3

  • like ittttttttttt

    c'mon

  • shit this is vibin

  • Comment removed

  • getto house or tirp hop?

  • This really does sound like Humming the Bassline...

  • it does.

  • I like when they go inbetween the scenes

    " C..c..come on "

  • chillin in a jazz club/techno combo. =D

  • Fuck, not bad.

  • hah vibin the bassline nice

  • i cant remember this being uesd in AirGear but its still good

  • They use it when it goes to a commercial and comes back. You can hear that girl go "Hey Come on!" but its brief and you only hear mild techno before she says it.

  • @AnbuIce YEAH! IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG XD

  • @AnbuIce That's actually wrong. it's really track 16, 'Her groovy trick' . They sound similar, but they are not the same.

  • @NEOMANDX1 its when they get there emblem made by that famous designer that ume knows

  • @NEOMANDX1 its when they do that comercial thing the come on

  • i cant remember waer thay play this in AirGear but its still good

  • OH LOL, this is like a remix to Humming the Baseline in Jet Set Radio

  • there is NO WAY IN HELL this wasn't derived from Humming The Bassline!

  • its a homage directly to it

  • This makes a relation to JSRF's Humming the Bassline. JSRF is also about rollerblading. I wonder. Hmm..
