Not directly. we are working on making the Orthros joystick a stand alone item so you don't have to buy the PS3-Switch Access Pod as well. This would take away some of the adaptability for specific button layouts - but it would make it cheaper. We are thinking of going PC and then using a relatively cheap adapter for specific platforms. Ultimately we would like to make them fully stand alone.
@evan7869 The XCM XFPS Live works well with the PS3-SAP. I have been playing HALO on a 360 using the Orthros Joystick. I will post some video ( when I get better at playing it).
Absolutely - that is what it was initially designed for.
You will also need the PS3-Switch Access Pod, the Orthros plugs into the PS3-SAP, and the PS3-SAP plugs into the PlayStation.
The Orthros is presently just switches and joysticks, so would plug into prety much any disability switch adapter device.
The joysticks however are specific to the PS3-SAP. Although someone skilled in electronics could make use of them, there is no active circuitry in it. (not yet anyway).
@Pentazemin "I dont think there is too much ppl with only one hand."
Well, you're wrong. I've heard of several gamers with only one hand. And I'm sure there are many more out there. Not to mention people like me with severe disabilities that are gamers that need custom made controllers. Be a little less closed minded, please.
Awesome work man. I can see it would be slower but for gamers with no other choice it would be an amazing option. Get that thing working with an FPS and it will sell. Good luck with it.
@LEPMISGeoff By the way. There are annotations to this video, but they are not showing at present. If you open the video in a pop out - they do show, and it describes what I am doing whilst things are happening on screen.
A excellent step in the right direction! but I have small hands for being a guy, So this would be hard for me to use. Note - I'm not complaining, am just offering helpful advice.
GameBase have done a nice video about its use. See UiwSW26V1lE&feature=player_embedded

@elass0wyp0 It will work with any game. I am not much of a gamer, I only have a copy of Lara Croft so I can test the things I make. :-)

I used to have a one-hander controller used for RPG games in PS1/PSX. I want that one for my PS3 while I eat my sandwich.

It is only a first prototype !

@LEPMISGeoff sryy this prototype looks horrible ;) just do two controlers for both hands.

@Sam3r26 Hi Sam.
I make stuff mainly for people who have a disability. You know, perhaps born with only one arm, or had one arm blown off in combat.
For people with even more severe disabilities, I make a switch adapter. PS3-SAP.

I would love to be a test subject. I only use my right hand & I love to play but all the games now are digital & now longer analog. Can you help me?
Truvoicepro 1 year ago
@Truvoicepro how do you mean digital and no longer analogue? How does that make it difficult for you?
Geoff.
