Chris is so under-appreciated for his songwriting, both musically and lyrically. Yes, there's "the voice" - but even as it's gone from its insane range early on to a raspier but still cool older voice, his writing has if anything improved. Although it's hard to improve on THIS song! Long live CC, SG, PJ, MLB, MH, AIC, N, and all the other great acts from that time and place! I was there and I remember it like it was yesterday.

Eddie in back b/c this band was Chris' concept to honor Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone. They shared vocals on Hunger Strike. Eddie was backing and lead vocals on the album, and not upstaging Cornell here. Whose decision that was...well...maybe it was the first song of the show? I wish I'd been there!
