Whether this extraction can be done with any fertilizer containing ammonium nitrate?

contains 460 grams of nitrogen in the pound. It is a concentrated nitrogen fertilizer in the solid state, characterized by immediate and long-term effects. Contain nitrogen in the amide form in the soil that goes into ammonia and nitrate form, which is characterized by the long-term effects.
the process is: dissolve the fertilizer into cold water. filter it let it stand for 24 hours, boil it down and then u have pure amonium nitrate right? it worked fairly for me, but i dont know how to remove the calcium, which is gathering at the bottom of the water that i let stand outside for 24 hours do i have to refilter it or what ? its not a high impurity, but i can sense the slightly brown color in the amonium nitrate.

! In the movie ther is some sand in the bottom . It should be at room temperature, when you wait 24 hours. if you keep it in your fridge, the ammoniumnitrate will crystallize on the botton... so keep it in room temperature! I hope I understand you correctly

@randomguy983 you can buy it at a motor store. i think its called a motor store :P. they have battery acid. its about 40% sulfuric acid i think, but you can boil it down to concentrate it. But WARNING, this is very poisonus so you have to do it in a fumehood, or outside and stay away from the fumes. i never did this but i´m pretty sure it works.

So it's not 100% water free after this step ... Your take the an and running into the oven at 100 to 110 * c. You see, thet you boil away is just water, if you boil it too long will the NH4NO3 break down to various toxic gas, so the spirit bubble is just water .. therefore, when you got your powder you have to run in the oven to get rid off last water. so you dont boil the HN4NO3 dry!!!

It needs a hell of alot more than a primary, it needs a booster, a big booster. Don't get your information from soleley wikipeidia EVER! use it to point you in the right direction or use its references to confirm fact. It is actiually very powerful when detonated on its own, I was pretty sure urea nitrate was the "paradise ticket" of choice for the ragheads.

I saw that episode, that device is only made to remove the device from the vehicle and away from the detonation control so no human has to diffuse the bomb, they didn't even say it was ammonium nitrate here, they just said it was an IED. Urea nitrate can be detonated with a large cap so it is much easier to detonate than ammonium nitrate, there are several vids on youtube.
ok..i'm going to tell you what i've understood: heat the axan , put water in the heated axan and heat untill the axan will be dissolved completely in the water , filter the solution and wait 24hours;now heat the filtered solution until , it boils , then put on a large surface until all the water evaporates. ok, first measuring up to 1 liter axan in 500 ml of water, add this in a saucepan, I do not think you need to heat up this mix, but I do so little to some degree, you are heating up with Water + axan not just whit axan then you get lots of sand that you can be a hell to get rid of, this filter you 3 to 4 times then let it stand for 24 hours, then hold of that for the term so that no sand on the bottom going up again !I use me of a table fan at the end it is not visible, but it cools very well/C9

efter som att du håller koll på tempraturen när du kokar det så reagerar det inte alltså det bryt inte ner till några nitrogaser , så det är inget problem att koka det innne i köket..

hmmm sulfuric acid can ba a tricky part to find..
i dont know wher you live.. but look in paint/chemical store.. i bay my sulfuric acid in a paint sore and ther is 96 %. but thet is a knoff fore me..
