  • Is this the Army Choir??

  • @gbuscg I agree about Admiral Bender's new uniform.

  • @gbuscg The chorus I learned in 1971 was:

"We're always ready for the call,

We place our trust in Thee.

Through surf and storm and howling gale,

    High shall our purpose be.

    "Semper Paratus" is our guide,

    Our fame, our glory, too.

To fight to save or fight and die!

Aye! Coast Guard, we are for you."

Those are the original lyrics. I guess in the new kinder and gentler world they don't want Coasties singing about dying, but while you have to go out, you don't have to come back.

  • Those aren't the words to Semper Paratus. From the other comments, it sounds like none of the lyrics are correct.

  • @john75248 Those lyrics come from the original "Semper Paratus",they are mixed up a bit but it is much better than hearing that pansie "This Is the Coast Guard Marching song we sing on land and sea" But then after they made us wear those air force bus driver uniforms and shave I knew the service was heading downhill.Oh yeah they outlawed beards saying you couldn't get a seal on your OBA and gas mask gear,That was a lie,I was #1 OBA man for four years,I had a beard and never had a leak

  • @gbuscg Thanks. See my new posts. I messed up and didn't use the reply button. It's always good to hear from another Coastie.

  • Happy Veterans Day to all the veterans out there.

  • Is there a way to download this in a file format that doesn't require I'net connection?

  • @bassgene01 lol nope.

    US anthem

  • This is the arrangement our choir sings today, and every Independence Sunday. I'm proud to be Retired Navy, and God bless those serving today in my place.

  • I like the music and video, but those are the wrong words to the Army song. It hasn't been "caissons go rolling along" since 1956.

  • @Jman7133 the caisson song is better, its more traditional , stems to world war I ..than that army goes rolling along crap.

  • @ArkanianMicroStudio true but it only represents the Arty(Field Artillery E.G. The King of Battle), think about it, how ridiculous would the Navy sone be if only the Naval Air Force was sung about?

  • I like the music and video, but those are the wrong words to the Army song. It hasn't been "those caisons go rolling along" since the 1970s.

  • i did this song in a concert with the band RCCB along with te entire "HOMELAND" arange ment (more like a big book)

  • this is my favorite arrangement of these hymns - -3 different churches i've been in have done this arrangement!!!!

  • @missybethfl My church has done this arrangement, too and it's my favorite also! While the choir is singing each anthem, the men and women that have served or are serving in that branch of the armed forces comes forward and a lot of them are crying. It's very touching...

  • Remembering them this Independence Day!!!

  • As an Air Force brat, I am partial to the Air Force, but I am equally proud of the other services and may God bless all our men and women in service. Also, thank you to our veterans (thanks Dad!) and watch over our POW-MIAs and all the others who didn't make it back.

  • Nope Air Force is the best!!

  • @vhsvikings2010 Navy Aviation...the BEST....

  • Navy Aviation is the BEST !

  • @CELIBERICO Everyone is the best HOW ABOUT THAT!!!!

  • @ 3:42-3:35, Did Camp Kirkland write that part and mean for it to sound like "O Say can you see?" Our national anthem, the SSB?

  • That's a Camp Kirkland arrangement.

  • God bless our troops!
