Thats just how the dm8, 7, 9 ... all of them sound. They sound like someone shooting a spitball. Very quiet and nice. Trust me cant speak for this guy, but im guessing he rarely chops balls with that gun

This last year's model of the dye matrix. That being said, you can get it for as low as 1000 new. This year's dm9 is about 1400. There are many places online to get it. Pretty much most of your online paintball sites will carry dye markers.

My 8 has treated me well. I have no chopping paint issue. I clean and lube my marker after every use. The only problem I've had is O-rings. But, overall its great. I kicked some ass this past Sunday !!!
