I've read almost the entire bible and parts of the qur'an. First, only one person was ever sane and claimed to be the Son of God, and that was Jesus. The disciples did not write the scrolls that would later become the Bible. They were not written until much later and those men had all to gain. Say a leadership role in their community and especially a future for their people in leadership of lands. The same goes for Jewish scholars of the ancient world.

No baby was born during a failed abortion fool. Normal abortions are done in the first three months and typically early. In such an instance the fetus would resemble something of a tadpole and does not have any nerves or brain functionality. "Late term" abortions are only performed in extreme circumstances wherein the mother is in very high risk or the baby and or the baby will not be able to sustain life.

I was talking to cicero... I wanted to point out that he was not acting like a Christian incase anyone would classify cicero's comments as "Christian". The comment about Mary is ridiculous, in that it was a VIRGIN birth and in no way relates to teen sex. Don't you realize that in Jesus' day a 12 or 13-year-old girl was old enough to marry? Terrible example.

I am not trying to speak for anyone but myself. First, I believe that no Christian goes to hell, and that the sacrifice that Jesus made covers all sin, period. So to answer your question, no you will not go to Hell for anything other than not accepting God's gift of forgiveness through Jesus. Secondly, I was trying to help you see that Jesus would want you to speak your convictions, but to not hurl insults. Jesus is bigger than me, and His love is perfect even though I am not.

Good point. Muslims have no way to know if they are going to heaven. They believe they have to earn their way in. So they are on a sort of eternal scale that weighs their good vs. their bad. That is why so many Muslims fundamentalists are willing to commit Jihad. It guarantees their entrance to "paradise". But you see Christianity believes that none of us are good enough, but that God sent Jesus to be our substitutionary payment for our sins. You know Muslims believe in Jesus to right?

I've read almost the entire bible and parts of the qur'an. First, only one person was ever sane and claimed to be the Son of God, and that was Jesus. Muhammad is a prophet in the qur'an, and never claims divinity. Second, only Jesus died for sins. No other faith claims to have a savior. Third, the Jews will come to Christ. Sounds like you may need to read. There is only one thing that all three have in common and that is the belief in sin. Only one gives an answer has to how to overcome it.

Well, this I would say is not realivant in that she was married when she had the other children (as cicero stated) and as I said in their culture a 12 year old was an adult. I don't think anyone including Jesus would say that me telling a fellow follower of Christ that telling someone that you wish they had been aborted and cussing them is un-Christian. In fact the Bible says that it our responsibility to help or brothers see their sin and to repent of it.

Imagine that you have been a good Christian all your life, you have been good to your family, etc. but Islam is the way (which you have not been properly immersed in through your life course). Do you think God would cast you to hell? In my opinion, he would not.

That's not laughable; I used to believe that way too. Don't ever think that in order to believe in God you have to leave rationale out, but faith is key. These are all good points and all have answers. I cannot answer them for you because you would not believe me. I can tell you that the Bible teaches that sin keeps us from God and when I looked at that I realized that I didnt deserve to be with God because of all the sin I had committed. So my question was and is how can we overcome sin?

I personally do find the need to abandon reason for comfort. I know that sounds a little harsh but that is basically what you are doing.
The disciples did not write the scrolls that would later become the Bible. They were not written until much later and those men had all to gain. Say a leadership role in their community and especially a future for their people in leadership of lands. The same goes for Jewish scholars of the ancient world.

I do believe that Christianity is superior to all other "religions". Just as all the other religions probably feel about theirs. If not wouldn't I change? However, this does not change reality. Either Jesus was who He said He was or He wasn't. Either Jesus was right or Muhammad was right, but they obviously couldn't both be right. After all one said I am the Son of God and the other said God has no son. So I propose rational exploration to see who is wrong and who is right.

I have a serious question that nobody seems to be able to answer... If abortion were illegal what do you plan to do with all of the unwanted babies? There are only so many people who are waiting to adopt and the babies will keep coming. There is already a shortage of foster homes in the USA and there are not enough beds for the children who are already waiting for a family... do we institutionalize them? We do a great job helping governments that cannot do their job. Iraq will cost a trillion dollars, paid by us, and we killed a million of their citizens to boot. We cannot fix countries around the world or hell even our own. Pakistan needs to fix their own problems.

This is not only a lie, its a lie told specifically to mislead people as to the President's true position on the issue. The reason he voted present was that these provisions were covered in an already existing law in the state and the legislation was specifically tailored to promote the political interests of a narrow proportion of the electorate. How is a voting record a lie? You just admitted his vote (and tried to justify it), oh and you forgot about the no vote. So explain to me how if a baby was born alive during a failed abortion, wanting to protect its constitutional right to "life" is in the political interest of a narrow portion of the electorate. Isn't it a right? Now you may be able to argue that life doesn't begin until birth (crock), but you can't argue that once born alive the doctors aren't obligated to preserve the life.

Obama's defense is useless in that the state law he voted no on was the exact same law that was federally passed. Planned Parenthood said "Despite the fact that the bill then contained the same language as the federal law, it remained problematic because it still amended Illinois statutes regulating abortion, and it still was part of a package that included SB 1083." SB 1083 placed civil penalties on the disregard of 1082. Obama is all for the rights to kill fetuses, born or unborn.

As it is Holland is not the greatest, but they have some very interesting and unique freedoms which have turned out quite well for them.
Dutch prostitution however, does have more issues than they would like to admit.

In any of these circumstances it is not actually an abortion in what you think, but rather an attempt to perform an early birth. Unfortunately many of these newborns do not make it, but due to technology and a whole lot of medical help the lucky few do.

Why do people have to sugar coat it. It's not pro-choice or pro-abortion, it's pro-killing a baby. I mean if that's your position, stand up for it but don't deny that at the end of the day, a life has to be actively terminated. IMO, in rare circumstance the termination of a life is fine (rape). But teens for ex, if they choose to have sex should live with the consequence... if they want giving them up for adoption is ok. there are lots of ppl that want to adopt.

Pro choice would be that you stood for the mother making a choice before she had sex. Now if you define pro choice as only the instances of abortion where the mother was raped then I would agree, and abortion could be considered a choice in those cases. Other wise it is just an abortion.

tajmsd: Being pro choice is a deceptive term and pro abortion is most often the correct definition, especially in Obama's case. Can I be for the rights of people to do drugs without being pro drugs? Or am I pro choice? The choice here is to become a mother or not... That choice can be made prior to sexual behavior, unless rape is the cause. Therefore pro choice is a PC term for pro abortion, or the womans right to terminate life, or "potential life" after conception.

No baby was born during a failed abortion fool. Normal abortions are done in the first three months and typically early. In such an instance the fetus would resemble something of a tadpole and does not have any nerves or brain functionality. "Late term" abortions are only performed in extreme circumstances wherein the mother is in very high risk or the baby and or the baby will not be able to sustain life.
