Call some GD direction of game play and most of this would be a non-issue! How many times did a girl roll backward in to a player and not get called, or just stand still and hit someone and not get called in that video?
Slow derby is known as stroller derby. I only like slow derby when used in moderation to hold a lead or kill a penalty. But too much slow derby is garbage. If I wanted to see boring 1-0 games I would start watching soccer.
It's already illegal. 5.1.1.3 states that you can't block from a stationary or clockwise position and that applies to positional blocking. If you want to enforce that rule, add a clarification that if a blocker is stationary when the jammer reaches the engagement zone, the stationary blocker's back will be considered a legal blocking zone. After they picked themselves off the floor a few times, they would get moving.
Once you understand what is going on... and why the skaters are slowing down or skating backwards... then you still get excited with the game even if it's slow. There is no point in having a fast pack... when the oposing Jammer is in the box... so you slow the pack down so your jammer can score shitload of points without getting tired chasing after the pack.
@asilex247 i understand whats going on and why but the fact is it is boring and will stop people paying to watch the bouts, which in turn will mean fewer bouts and put the sport back 10 years, if i wanted to see 8 girls on skates stood still i would take a photo
