  • Chick is a know-it-all.

  • Need rhymes with seed.

  • Don Music, Gina and Mr. Handford, along with a couple Muppets that came in did a great job of singing the Final Song together as Don Music's Last Gig.

  • Does anybody have the sketch that features Don Music writing "Old MacDonald" and "Row Row Row Your Boat (a.k.a.) Drive Drive Drive Your Car" in English? If so, please be sure to have them be uploaded for me and everyone else.

  • This is probably Don Music's last appearance.

  • that's not david. that's mr. handford.

  • Oh, I see. So in that case what I meant to say is that it was pretty nice that Don got the word that rhymes with "seed" from Gina and Mr. Handford's help.

  • Can you look for Don Music rewriting "Row Row Row Your Boat?" Can you also find Don Music writing a special song for the marraige of Maria and Luis?

  • What were those last two words Don tried in place of 'need'?

  • I think the last two words he said before "need" were "get" and "buy."

  • Yeah that sounds about right.

  • y do songs rhyme?

  • i love don. now, WHY WOULD KIDS BANG THEIR HEADS ON A PIANO??

  • Yeah really. I notice that they tryed to censor out Don slaming his head into the piano. I didn't slam my head into the table when I was a kid.

  • hahahahaha. i never watched don when i was a kid. only the big bird and elmo stuff. but now that i look back on it, i dont think i would bang my head either.

  • I did when I was a kid...he was a regular character when I was growing up. (Im 31)

I am a pianist soooo...as a lil kid I couldnt resist, especially during lessons. *when there was no adult in the room*

But I didnt do it hard like him - it was fun makng the same noise with my head lol

This one sucks...its like he's had anger management or something lol gimmie the old Don!

  • @tannytv

    Because they were imitating him.

  • Who read the sponsers at the end?

  • Actress Alison Bartlett O'Reilly AKA Gina Jefferson is such A Beautiful Girl!

  • do you have the whole episode for this scene?? if so, will u please post hit here so i can watch this episode!!

  • Great clip! You can tell what's missing here though. Don doesn't have Kermit to play off of... ::sniff::

  • Too bad Kermit wasn't there to see him performing his last gig.

  • sounds like the tune of Guy Smiley's "Air" song! :D

  • Was this the season before Richard Hunt's death? R.I.P Richard Hunt

  • I believe so.

  • It was the 1991-92 season right?

  • No It was season 22 episode 2795.

  • Did this come from the 1990-1991 season of Sesame Street?

  • Yes it is. This episode actually aired on January 18, 1991. It's a shame that Richard Hunt died at such a young age shortly after this. I would have loved it if they put Mr. Handford and Don Music together after this, I can just see Mr. Handford getting very annoyed with him, and how he would react to Don's silly songs. Only to eventually give in and sing along with the song and enjoy it. Yeah it really is a shame Richard Hunt died so soon after Mr. Handford joined the show.

  • @LincolnHeightsrocks

Do you have any idea what he died of and exactly how old he was at the time?

  • @Smartboy8877 He died of AIDS and was 40 years old.

  • @Turppa21

    Thank you for the information.

  • God Bless Muppeteer Richard Hunt- May always rest in peace in heaven. He was a very talented performer!

  • Well, Don Music was probably too good to last.

  • He sure was.

  • Hooper's they got everything u need!

  • Need!

  • Yes. This is indeed the very last time Don Music was in anything new on Sesame Street. Shortly after this Richard Hunt died. Rest in Peace Richard

  • Note how they cut away when Don banged his head on the piano!

  • It sure was funny for me to hear that he was dropped because too many kids were imitating his head banging, because that's the LAST thing I ever woulda done as a kid. Every time I saw him do it, I would cringe, because it looked incredibly painful. I mean, those hard, pointy-cornered keys, slamming into your forehead or face...yeowch.

I'd like to meet some of these alleged little kids who thought pianos are made of fluffy cotton. :)

  • In Don's mid-1980's skits, he would bang his "hands" on the piano instead of his head. Here in this one they just switched to Gina before hit his head.

  • Gina has such a pretty face!

  • I always wanted Gina

  • Yes indeed.
