-Looks colorful and cool

-(Presumably) Up-to-date dictionary built in for challenges.

I don't have an iPad, and have no current plans to purchase one, but really, the advantages to playing like this are easy to see if you think about it for 20 seconds. YOU may not see the appeal, but for many people, it's no big deal, and -shocker! - could be fun.
