For someone my age this is painful to watch. I loved this band and 1000 other weird bands. Magazines and radio were full of random strange things because no one knew what was going to be big. Then something happened. Nirvana arrived, and everything became dull and predictable. Hole came out, a wack watered-down version of Babes. Fake attitude, fake lyrics. Nirvana and Hole. The death of rock. Now we all can listen to the same lame bullshit. I saw Nirvana a few times and found them lame, kids.
Don't blame it on Nirvana. Kurt was always giving other bands shout outs and used his fame to give alot of underrated bands the attention they deserved.
Weren't Kat and Courtney Love in several early bands together? I remember the late 80's and early 90's alternative which was cool, I thought Nirvana was good though. It was the B and C crew like Candlebox and Bush that really killed the alternative stuff.
Awesome band have loved them for 22yrs.....great,strong women who can really play their instruments.Courtney Love played bass with them pre- Hole incarnation.I think L7 were a very underrated band in the UK ,always top of my playlist too+I'm now in my 40's...love+peace L

Ah that's funny, I just finished reading "the selling and making of a rock n roll band", and in the book they say that they did actually fought so much at one point they had to split the band! just months after the release of fontanelle! I really think Lori is being sarcastic there...Or the book is bullshit...whatever the music is amazing!!!

kat does look like jenny!! anyway..they are amazing. they continued after maureen left..dana played with them..then michelle rejoined for a bit..then they did a european reunion tour in 2001... kat, michelle, and lori are the ultimate babes line up....the original and the best

Set the record straight. The Babes never really broke up. The bass player developed a serious medical condition, and the Babes found themselves unable to continue. Damn, I miss them.

Wow, just wow. When Kat talks, she sounds so sweet and innocent and yet when she sings, she releses so much power that you just can't believe the sweet person you were talking to...can relese that much.

funny but bevis and butthead introduced me to this band. I know the name of the episode had "babes" in it. "babes R us" maybe? A shame when you buy the show it doesn't have the music videos in it. You can find some good bands that way.

Correction - Spanking Machine was actually released in 1989. And about the "kinderwhore" look, it all comes down to who you believe, Courtney is a notorious liar. Who cares though? BIT will always rock.

gorefreak08 correction hole released pretty on the inside in 91. kat has been said to have made up the kinderwhore look but thats because courtney let kat borrow her dress when she went to england and she said she made it up.
