Yo Sambonz :D I am catching up with videos that I missed over the last couple of months, I broke my computer and had to wait until recently to get it fixed. So now I am having a week of catching up on things I missed, your videos are the first to be done :D Hope you've had fun while I've been gone and I can't wait to see more great videos :D

@zolidius hehe the detail is incredible - it doesn't really come thru on my vids just how spectacular the game looks. but yes definitely - the game is super busy. it's also still free to play at the moment so you should hop in and check for yourself =)

Also, about your comment how populated it is, just remember Rift, when it was still free.

It will have a serious decline in players when they start to charge for it.

They really should start to make pure F2P games in my opinion, then just add ingame shops for real money.

Much better nowadays if you want to attract a huge community.

And all I'm trying to do is reach the website (same as you linked in your description), but all I see when pressing it is a blank page. And I'm not a gamer who messes with his PC, all legit here, I've been a PC technician for 6 years, fixed some very nasty stuff but I can't fix this. The only thing I can think of now is that the router is somehow blocking it. but for a router blocking a certain website, it must be very badly compiled...

@xPuppetearAMVs hrm very odd! i can load the page fine but that doesn't help you. the other way around is to go thru their official community site (which also has links to your account etc etc). just search google for the 'Lodestone' and you'll find it =)

@sambonz Already tried those, it's the same problem since they just link me to the exact same website. I might reinstall my Windows later, not that I want too, it still runs the same as when I just installed it. Sigh... The sacrifices people make to play games :p.

@xPuppetearAMVs yikes that's really awful then :S hrm.. i do notice it loads a huge amount of Flash content when i go there. i'm sure you've checked all your AV / blocker apps etc..

@sambonz Yup, I just installed an older version, just to test it, tried some more things. But what struck me most is that the people having this problem all have the same OS as me, Windows 7 64bit. I think that's the culprit, I haven't seen anyone complain about it otherwise. I tested it on another PC which has Vista 32bit, and it works fine there.

@xPuppetearAMVs ah okies - and yep i'm running Vista 32bit as well. i'm guessing you've found the culprit! you should be able to set up your account on the Vista computer, and then install and login on your main one =)

Well, when you enter FF14 in google, then select FF14's language screen, you can choose between countries.

When I click on any of those, my browser page loads, goes white and that's the end of it.

They first blamed it on security settings, then they said it only works with IE, then they said it could be java or flash, then etc etc...

Kinda hard for me to accept because I'm a very oldskool gamer, and never had a problem accessing a site whatsoever, but I cannot, in any way go to the FF14 site.

i heard the grind is horrific for leveling and crafting, is this true? i want to buy this badly but im turned off by a lot of user reviews

@OBAViJEST to be fair, the vast majority of reviews are form when the game launched, and at that stage i'd agree 100% with them. however the game's been worked on significantly and it's now been vastly improved. the grind is still there just like any MMO, but it's nowhere near what it was at launch =)

@sambonz Nop, seems to be a problem with them again. I reinstalled java, flash, fiddled with internet security option, even upgraded to IE9, and more, no avail. It's typical really, I never have a problem with any other site, but Square Enix gives me trouble. I miss Squaresoft lol. Their solution now is, call the helpdek (but they're not telling you it will cost you money). Great service once again, I haven't bought it yet, never saw the website, and they already want me to pay :x.

hey sambo kick ass ep as always really loving the final fantasy XIV vids you are posting and what a interesting story line which you have under way i really can't wait to start play it myself oh on the subject of that i have been doing some digging and according to a shop web sit it should be coming out for the PS3 on the 26th Jan 2012 wither or not this a per-order thing is still to be seen oh and can i plz have a shout out on your next ff14 vid plz =)

Hey again Sambonz, I'm a huge fan of the FF franchise, but was extremely dissapointed with 11.

(Also dissapointed with every FF game starting 11 but that's another discussion)

I'm just wondering how good do you think this game really is? Is it fun, or is it like most MMORPG and a grindfest mostly? Not that I mind grinding but Final Fantasy for me is about story, not about the endless grind except for World Battles. How good is the story, grind, leveling sytem, items and such?

@xPuppetearAMVs hiya! i'm not a fan of FFXI either - the UI was just too much of a struggle for me, along with the game's systems. FFXIv however is totally more accessible and, whilst every MMO has an element of 'grind' in it, it's particularly well hidden for me due to the huge variety of content and activities available to do. and yes the story arc is fantastic =)

oh btw when the NPC linkpearl needs to be activated it shines in the upper right corner until activated. It saves you the trouble of manually checking it ^^
