Tali, Kasumi or Legion goes into the tube. Garrus or Miranda leads the first/second fire team, but don't pick either one twice because they have a possibility of dying that way. Samara or Jack for the barrier.

As for Mordin you should ALWAYS send him back with the survivors, and leave behind the teammates with higher defense ratings like Garrus, Zaeed, Grunt, etc. the last time you pick squadmates. ...Yeah.

2 ways for mordin to die,

1: you don't do his loyalty mission

2: When you and 2 other characters head off to fight the big baddie at the end, you need to leave either grunt or garrus behind because they need a heavy to hold down the fort.

lol mordin died on my first playthrough too i never used him and as an added insult on my final me2 playthrough which i did 100% of th game after i completed th suicide mission mordin started hitting on my maleshep i was like "dude wtf get away from me u freak"

Try playing ME2 on Insanity lol I gave up when I couldn't get over the first Collector Mission. And btw on my first playthrough, only person to die was Miranda. Yes, that genetically enhanced and superior bitch. I never liked her so it just made me laugh. Irony exists and sometimes it's there to amuse us :)
