  • Im an Hepatia fan Forever!

  • I remember reading about Hypatia when I was little. I thought that she was a Neoplatonist, so she would not be an Athiest? but she would believe in the demiurge and the one etc.

  • this was an awesome movie. shame i never heard of it when it was released =/

  • It's poorly worded, but I see what they mean now. They mean just after the Roman Empire ended (or just as it is by the looks of it).

  • As A boy ! ! ! dis is a dumb movie and i never seenn it

  • @justinhayden13 No, you are dumb. Learn better grammar and actually watch a movie before declaring an opinion.

  • Although Christians have destroyed much of the pagan world, there are still some relics, books, sculptures that remain with us to guide us the rational thinkers (athiest and agnostics) in science, philosophy and to look for sprituality with in our own hearts. Not some book that demands that we must obey an angry, jealous, insecure god. Fuck the bible. It doesn't help the world to think for ourselves.

  • If I could, I will go back in time to kill all the christians...

and in 2010 we will be conquering the galaxy ...

  • this is why every man should accept the fact that not every people think alike. otherwise they'll kill for their motherfucking religion and motherfucking idiotic gods who can't motherfuckin' speak for their motherfucking fucked up shitful selves.

  • This movie is perfection.

    This show, however, is bullshit.

  • whats up with the fact that my email said my bioshock 2 lets play said it may have content owned by agora???

  • fuck sake the bitch talks to much

  • Just after the Roman conquest? lmfao.

  • @123duffbeerrules. I know, the showsw producers has no clue about History. Rome always controlled Egypt and Macedonia (Alexandria) where the story is based or takes place long before the 4th. Century. I miss the rest of the film, but I almost cried at the end when the slave turned Christian mob leader chokes her to prevent the mob from stoning her to death for defying the new Christian Order. There is a scene where she describes the earth as round and rotating around the Sun, Pagans knew it.

  • youtube, for the love of god do something about the bots

  • Good movie...

  • @westaus05 glad I made u laugh. And I gave u enough information to read, but u'd rather comment with the "mentally ill seeking refuge in religion"...nyways, like many Christians who do read their Bibles and know that people can't predict when Doomsday will be and non-Christians who don't care either way, come October we'll be enjoying autumn in the northern hemisphere and in the southern, we'll be getting ready for the summer heat, soon to come by December. nitey nite!

  • A movie that you will either like or love... somehow lacking a sense of wholesomeness... I saw it at filmsi.co.cc... The movie doesn't mention dates at any time, does it? Having this information may change your interpretation completely.

  • @westaus05 and the mentally insane seek refuge in Atheism

  • @westaus05 - What makes a Bangladeshi Muslim feel connected to a bunch of Arabs in Mecca? What makes a Chinese Catholic feel connected to St Peter's? What makes a white blonde Buddhist from Australia feel connected to the Buddhas of Bamiyan? Religion is the one thing that has allowed men to transcend family, racial ties and other ties that ususlly bind him. Making religion a boogeyman for the world's ils is just plain stupid. Religion has its faults, but don't make exagerations!

  • @westaus05 - Please, religion was a cause of discrimination. Really? It is the basis of all humanity to discriminate. It is the most human of all acts. You take care of ure family, ure most likely to die for your siblings that u r for other people! That is the first discriminating act you've just done. Religion is the only thing that tells u to stop considering only ure immediate family worthy of saving, but save all who are part of such-an-such relgious group.

  • @westaus05 and what exactly is the point of Global/Universal knowledge really? I mean think about it. We're a bunch of souless, evolved apes created from a cluster fuck of atoms, with no purpose or reason. Who gives a fuck about any knowledge? As u said, we live, we die, millions have lived, millions have died, everything was pointless, all our knowledge, all our understanding..there was no point to it all. Believe me religion is the least of ure concerns!

  • @westaus05 and Atheism does not also do the same for feeble minded fucks who thrive on conflict, with no resolve? do u know how liberating the idea that "there is no hell" can be to a feeble minded fuck? At least I can guilt trap a feeble minded religous fuck when he goes off raping and pillaging, getting him to do some shitty penance for his soul...how do i guilt-trap the feeble minded atheist fuck, who'se pillagin and raping?

  • @westaus05 u are assuming that religious people do not enjoy their lives on earth. Now I know uve been brought up on the idea that religion is a guilt trip but its will shock u to believe that people are quite happy with religion...heck check out some basic stats about religious people and happiness. Of course, guilt-ridden religion produces guilt-ridden worshippers but non-guilt ridden religous produce non-guit ridden and quite content happy people.

  • @westaus05 - so if the Human Race is quite fucking pathetic, aren't you like wasting ure breath and ure youtube account debating issues which concern these fucking bipeds who dont seem to understand that everthing they have ever done or are doing is a waste of fucking time. West, get away from the computer, go to a corner, breathe in, breathe out, have a shower, take a nap and then go have some sex :) and come rant again after that

  • Savio...do we believe a 25 y/o nobody or Carl Sagan, one of the foremost scholars in our time ?

I chose Carl Sagan. So maybe they embellished the movie a tad or maybe not, but I would go with Sagan and

not some 25 y/o with very little between his ears !

  • @MrPseudox u see what you just did there right? did u realise u sounded exactly like every religious blowhard who has ever existed or will ever exist? I have quite a lot between my ears, including a brain, thank you, but I'm not so sure a Carl Sagan groupie would care to know that anyways. I love Carl Sagan too. The guy obviously knew his astronomy, but the guy was as dumb as a doorknob when it came to history.

  • @MrPseudox now I know you probably jizzed in ure pants when you first watched Cosmos or heard the sweet voice of Sagan, as he narrated the story of sweet Hypatia who got royally flayed by that evil-wizard Cyril the bishop. Urobably jizzed some more wen he said, that after the Christians burnt down the library and brought about the Dark Ages, they made evil-madman Cyril a saint. Do I blame Sagan for getting his facts wrong? Nope, cos like most people in the 70s, he thought this was true!

  • @MrPseudox why did he think this was true? Becos he was brought up on the nonsense written by one Edward Gibbon, who decided to make gibbons of us all, when he became the FIRST writer 2ever link the murder of Hypatia with the burning of the library of Alexandria. As a good little cretin of the Enlightenment, the once-I-so-want-to-be-a-Catholic-but-I'll-be-disinherited-by-daddy-if-I-convert Gibbon, sat about screwing with history instead. Read Hypatia of Alexandria by Maria Dzielska. A good read!

  • @ProjectDecade - umm No she wasnt...u make it clear that politics was involved, then have the nerve to say that she was killed entirely for religous reasons? She got involved in the political hell hole of Alexandria, she was killed becos she did not have the understanding that just becos ure a brilliant scientist does not automatically make u a brilliant politician, especially when it is dirty politics.

  • @westaus05 "what sort of religion goes against opinion and states women and children are to be seen and not heard ?"

Umm, why are you quoting Victorian attitudes to women and children as the basis for Christianity? And religion can go either way when it comes to opinion

  • @imhayder100 you pathetic fucking spammers are to stupid to make honest money, so this is what you do..

How pathetic. I realize that you don't understand why you're pathetic, and that's why you will continue doing what you do.

You are A BIG part of what is wrong with this world...

    Fucking idiots...

  • The movie is set in Egypt, JUST AFTER the roman conquest!? Did they even SAW the movie!? It's set in the year AFTER Christ, the romans had ocupied egypt for quite a while by that time!

  • the ancient greeks first realised that the earth was circular when during the initial stages of the lunar eclipse they noticed the earths shadow on the moon was curved

  • feels like i just saw the whole movie that trailer is a huge spoiler! not that i wanted to see it but you knw....whatever! :P

  • Christians took the wisdom and knowledge of the pagens and perverted it into mystic violent nonsense....it's politics of then and now....

  • hm...well it certaintly looks interesting...I guess we'll just have to wait and see but good luck to it, and I'll definatly go and watch it.

  • Is this woman an atheist? If so she isn't even close to ahead of her time. These idiots have existed since Cain killed Able. There is nothing new about atheism.

  • @camk31

She was ahead of her time because she was such a brilliant astronomer and she knew so much about the earth, the sun, and the planets. While the Christians still thought that the earth was flat and the universe was a giant chest, Hypatia knew better. But back then, people were to convert to Christianity no matter what - and women were not allowed to have any freedom of speech. She refused to convert because she wanted to have an open mind.

For that, she was violently murdered. Simple.

  • @LazarazFanfiction - Yeah right! The Christians didnt think the world was flat...people hu had no knowledge of the sciences didnt care but educated people (both pagans and Christians) knew the world was not flat. Check out the mediveal paintings of Christ holding the earth in his hands - its always a globe.

  • @savioblanc you hate Jesus!

  • @LazarazFanfiction - And women had restructed speech, like the slaves. But that was Roman rules. Christian women did not have that restriction, which was why the religion was attaractive to them. Of course , they were still banned from the priesthood and talking in Church, but back then even a little freedom was quite awesome for women and Christianity provided that. And Hypatia was never encouraged to convert. Hypatia was intelectually brilliant, but it helped that her father was Theon

  • @camk31 Neither Cain nor Able were atheists you idiot.

There is nothing new about theism except the new excuses people ramble off to hold on to their ignorance..

  • Brilliant film! This woman was 2000 years ahead of her time!

  • @Rahulverma1961 what the fuck? that has nothing to do with the movie you stupid idiot, stop spamming!

  • The announcer has got the time frame of the movie ALL WRONG. Rome had conquered Alexandria back in 30 BCE, so over 400 years before the events in the film. sigh.. the announcer has such a poor grasp of history.

  • @isocrates12345 Yes, that is correct: Rome did conquer Egypt and the city of Alexandria in the time of Augustus Caesar around the time of Christ's life. But this movie is not about that. It is about the story of Hypatia who lived a few hundred years after the death of Christ. In that case, the time line is correct.

  • @IrishTactical my comment was on the announcer's context of the film: that Agora is set "in Egypt just after the Roman conquest." Well, that is not true is it? Octavian Caesar (Augustus) conquered the Ptolemaic Kingdom in 30 BCE and the film Agora, which deals with the growing religious intolerance of the Eastern Roman Empire is set between 395 CE (destruction of the Serapeum) and 415 CE (brutal murder of Hypatia). So, I would not characterize over 400 years as "just after," would you?

  • @isocrates12345 my apologies.

  • I take it Rachael Weisz is Hypatia?

  • Τέλος, μια ιστορικά ακριβής ταινία.

  • As a Greek I have to say this is one of the few movies (perhaps the only contemporary movie) that depicts the Greek-Roman world very close to what it really was. 300 did have historic elements, but it was a movie trying to impress above all and therefore was depicting things not exactly the way they happened. Agora enchanted me, the director and writter really know what they are talking about. I found one or two points of inacurracy, but it really surpassed my expectations. well done in deed..

  • Great movie at the end of the Roman empires hold on the world, and how mobs of peasants were swayed by zealots making up interpetations of scriptures , I always ask, would a loving god really want this from his children?

  • if you all don't think this could and will happen again then you are fools, the destroyers of this world and civialization is coming with the disgusting followers of islam.

they must be contained and stopped, their numbers must be contained by not allowing them into our countries where they can breed freely like cockaroachs, they want to destroy what has taken 2,000 years to create, they want to crush the internet and make us all follow their religion or die, they are evil and mentally sick.

  • @uching

it also includes atheists and nihilists, I think also new-agers.

  • Comment removed

  • "You don't question what you believe.... I must". EPIC LINE

  • Its sad.

  • @ProjectDecade - the historical Hypatia was a neo-platonist, which isnt atheism. She wasn't killed for her non-Christian beliefs, she was killed for getting herself involved in the shithole known as Alexandrian politics, some of her top students in her classes were not just ordinary Christians and pagans, but top bishops cos u see neo-platonism was seen as something Christianity could relate too. Type "ARMARIUM MAGNUM" and "AGORA" on Google and see where it takes you!

  • @westaus05 - i agree with you...Agora was a hoot, even more of a hoot was that people thought they were watching the true history of Hypatia, the Alexandrian church, heliocentrism and the burning of the Alexandrian library...I can't believe so many people were that freakin' stupid to believe it all....ahaha..join me westie as we laugh at these dinks :D

  • This is a wakeup movie.Unfortunately it did not make the big time promotional circuit at the movies and therefor did not get showed in many places.Well worth watching.

  • @westaus05 u idiot dont u get it that the story is not real as portrayed in the movie go read the real history behind it , this was yet another hollywood movie portraying christians as the bad guys were in fact pagans had killed them for hundreds of years",religious wars still continue" what wars list them for me go ahead........ was ww1 , ww2, vietnam war , iraq war religious in any way ? NO instead of being an ignorant atheist go educate yourself before you talk bullshit

  • I see add after add on the tv, billboards and newspapers of big budget films with lots of special effects and famous names but very little real plot or meaning behind them and real stories that not just entertain but inspire like this film are practically hidden, why did I have to be up at 1 am to discover this movie on showtime?

  • Um, she wasn't an atheist?

  • As soon as we heard there was a movie about the life of hipatia i couldnt wait to watch it, my dad called my older sister hipatia because he'd always admired her work since he was very young,,,, this movie is brilliant

  • Yes they did attack Gallileo, but it didn't look so horrendous as this movie portrays. He was under house arrest and a friend of the pope. My people were persecuted in the Inquisition which was aweful and evil. However, one can see that many of the inaccuracies in "Agora" were especially designed to make "Christians" look quite evil. One can almost sense that this is not just history but something brewing in the person about modern day christians - like with the "hallelujah" while they vandalize

  • Wow, an atheists woman, is the "father of heliocentrism". Sorry Kepler and Copernicus. Most of these early astronomers like Copernicus and Galileo were Christians, Catholics or Theists.

  • @messianicreformer She was actually a pagan and another pagan discovered it before her it just hadn't been proven yet. She did prove his theory. By the way Catholics are a subdivision of Christianity and the church attacked Galileo and others who were actually trying to learn. As you've probably guessed the movie isn't completely accurate and she wasn't stoned to death nude she was basically mutilated by Christians who threw sharp sea shells at her.

  • @SuperPolytheist - she was a Neo-Platonist, which the Chrisitans especially were very favourable towards. Her top students included Christian bishops, and she was not involved in anything to do with Heliocentrism. No doubt a brilliant scientist, her death was due to her involvement in the politics of her time, which no scientist thought was smart to get involved in

  • Jesus said,"He who is without sin, cast the first stone". But the writer of this "epic" shows that Christians love casting stones. Don't people believe in what goes around comes around. Doesn't he realize that God is merciful and that the hatred motivated portrayal is sowing hatred.

  • Wow in the middle of the movie now. Cool scenery and historical events. However, whoever made this video has a hatred and an agenda against christians. It's okay most every Hollywood movie portrays Christians, who are some of the most loving and forgiving people, as warmonger women haters. This movie is certainly not inspired by Jesus, God or His Spirit of love. So many twists to meet the writers agenda that it distorts history. God please forgive them for they know not what they do.

  • @messianicreformer - how can you think that an atheist homosexual residing in Spain has an agenda against Christians, in which he distorts history to make the Christians look like the equivalent of todays Taliban becos he does not have the balls or the brains to attack todays Islamic fundamentalists? How dare u..what nonsense...

  • i like it C:

  • fuck the christianity!!!!!!

  • Agora wasn't an Atheist.... This is rewriting history.

  • from cary goodier (the comment below)

  • mother fuck this trash ass shit

  • hypatia was a real women cought up in a political and religious war and she was not christian and i'm not sure if she was pagan there is no mention of that from what scientists know about her. she was really ahead of her time and and great women a shame and a waist of life to be killed by stupid Christians

  • In movies where Christians are shown to be the good guys...all the Christians are played by Caucasians. In this movie where the Christians are the bad guys...they are shown to be Arab looking. What the fuck?

  • @gorfjorf2112112 because the christianity was the religion of the masses, and the masses were arabic, with dark skin and long mostaches, jesus was more look a likie to osama bin laden than to a common european guy

  • @supar2100 - Totally agree with you. But still...they change their looks based on whether they are depicted as bad guys or good guys. I bet you 100 dollars that the next historic movie that comes out...and the Christians are nice guys...they will all be depicted as white guys. Even in THIS movie the good guys (or girl) is white.

  • @gorfjorf2112112 - u noticed it too huh? Weird ain't it?

  • A Lot more women would have been (in the past) into science and tech if men didn`t oppress them!!

  • @Chavnah - Yea....and it was Christianity that oppressed them.

  • @Chavnah we would probably know about them if the historical excersice were not so chaubinist, we know that women ruled egypt, and that they had a really important pollitical roll in rome, the greeks were a bunch of fags and they didnt liked women

  • fantastic website webmovietube,to watch free online movies..

  • IC XC NIKA

  • this is ok movie..watched the full movie in webmovietube for free

  • Perfect place for online streaming is moovi.co.cc. I love you guys, a lot!! Its just too good! I am speechless! Dont no what to say more about it, just great...

  • DONT KNOW WHY but MOVIE IS AWSOME... I liked it because it is very creativee 10/10 stars and you can see it on moovi.co.cc!

  • Religious Idiot: "I BELIEVE I'm right!"

Scientist: "I KNOW you're wrong ... and an IDIOT!"

Relgious Idiot throws a stone ... truth hurts!

  • @fenriz218 nice one...but here's another one -

Religious Idiot: "I BELIEVE I'm right!"

Scientist Idiot: "I KNOW you're wrong... and an IDIOT...because I'M RIGHT!"

Religious Idiot throws a stone, Scientist Idiot throws a stone too...

Both hurt and in the end, no one knows what the TRUTH is

  • Enough with the Christian hating! I'm a Wiccan but I'm so sick of everyone bashing Christianity for the faults of its past "followers" who used God as a selfish justification. Stop blaming Christ!

  • @TeyrianTimelord10 the only reason why there followers here in this time doesnt kill like the ones in the 4th century is because world listen to them and doesnt attack them, cause that motherfuckers would burn you down if the have the chance, they dont do it because they dont have to

  • are they muslims (islam) or followers of Jesus Christ as son of God? just wondering....

  • @orphans4christ they're christians,,,,,

  • @freaktop10 that doesn't tell me any...christians are "christ" followers, not islamic for they follow allah. i don't want to start an arguement, but i just want to know if they are muslims...muslims are not christian, there's a difference. they follow a religion, but its not christian. christians seek a relationship with God through Jesus Christ as His Son, although there are christians who smear God's name. muslims see Jesus as only a prophet.

  • It was a perfect role.. everyone who worked on this, they really did make a great movie. I give a perfect rating to this. Truly recommended!! You got to see this, people...You can find it on moovi.co.cc!!

  • Great distraction and great vide0!! thank u webmovietube

  • Bad host

  • truth only truth.

    read, learn, questioned

and then you will see that only the truth they hide. Christianity is the biggest fairy tale which kill so many people

  • @wolfsd24 you good sir, have earned a cookie :3

  • I gave this a thumbs down only for the annoying one who probably even thinks that introducing a movie like this is entertaining.

  • This is so funny that most christians don't give positive reviews to this film. ignorants...

  • @relampago21 This is so funny that most christians don't give positive reviews to this film. ignorants...

No more funny than a movie made by a bunch of dumb-ass Christians showing Thomas Paine not only converting to Christianity on his deathbed, but howling over how he was so stupid to not believe in a God. Of couse if such a movie was made, I don't reckon rationalists and atheists of every stripe would be giving positive reviews for such a film now, would they?

  • good movie.. sad at the end!

  • I loved the movie. So so sad.

  • if i watch it will be for the good looking people. same old same. i dont believe i will learn anything new. it s just like a remake of 100 other movies made in hollywood

  • If Weisz had been in the third Mummy movie; I might have bothered to watch it.

Very excited to catch this when it becomes accessible.

  • again amenabar has made a brillant movie. sadly most people only seem to like happy-go-lucky shallow hollywood romances and cannot appreciate something like this.

  • Ohhhh the movie is so depressing for me!!!!

  • I saw this move and it is a good one . It is very unfortunate and disturbing that so many people throughout history used and still using religion to justifiy violence , hate and sick desire. The biggest problem is that many people in all religions use God's words to fulfill what is on their sick minds . I believe that only God himself judges . I can not believe how ruthless and brutal humans can be and God does not agrees to that what so ever.

  • @beeicecream Yahweh always tells christens to kill the non-believers. Its in the book stupid.

  • It really was disturbingly easy for the Christians to burn all that knowledge. Knocking evolution of the human race back by meh, about 1000 years. Running around putting scholars like Hypatia to death. Destroying works by Plato and Sacrates, Aristotle. Very excellent movie. Very very ugly Christians. I loved it.

  • @Aussiegirlsmiley I know right? I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who cringed when the library was being destroyed.

  • @lollipopyumness Tragic. No matter how advanced the world may be, religion will find a way to drag us down.

  • Aussiegirlsmiley : I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who cringed when the library was being destroyed.

Would u have cringed less or more knowing that the great library was pretty much burnt down during Julius Caesar's Alexandrian campaign against Pompey in around 48BC? Does it make you feel even more sad that even Eunapius of Sardis, a pagan scholar who hated the Christians, mentions a temple being destroyed but makes no mention of any scrolls being burnt?

  • @Aussiegirlsmiley Running around putting scholars like Hypatia to death. Destroying works by Plato and Sacrates, Aristotle. - destroying works by Plato, Socrates and Aristotle...are you being serious? I mean really...is your basic knowledge of history so bad that u think Christians destroyed their works? Please, pretty please, enlighten me as to how we still have their works if the Christians destroyed them? Please, prove to me that u truly are the idiot I think u are...please.

  • @savioblanc During the final phase of the ancient Greek period in the 3 and 2nd centuries BCE, great thinkers began to come full circle, applying the tools of Greek natural philosophy - mathematics and logic - to practical and technical challenges. Futher developments were made at institutions such as the Museum and Library at Alexandria. Competition between centres of learning led to further innovations and the development of science.

  • @Aussiegirlsmiley - and what were these further innovations? what were these further developments? And where is the proof that the Christians destroyed these innovations, especially since the Christians were very much part of the Alexandrian intellectual elite, which included the Jews, the atheists, the Stoics, the neo-Platonists and the other pagans!

  • @savioblanc You're asking me what further innovations were made? Are you completely stupid?

Furthermore, you're asking me after 2 months?

Get educated. Read. Google. Go to the library. I'm not here to help every moron who has internet access

  • @Aussiegirlsmiley - Yeesh, I'm sorry that I was involved with other aspects of my life which didn't give me the chance to write back to your YouTube comments. Sadly u see, I have a life beyond the keyboard, which means commenting back to posts sometimes takes its time and I'm not asking for an entire list of further innovations. I merely ask for a few examples (hows 3 examples) of these innovations u speak bout and some proofs that Christians specifically destroyed or attacked said innovations.

  • @savioblanc lol yes .. i can prove you that .. all these works were preserved by islamic scholars .. lol they translated Homer and Iliad... Without these thinkers from around 18 century, we wont have any work of these phylosophers left.....People hided these works .. Those prieses wont keep these pagan knowledges at thier churchese for sure, lol maybe those chistian hypocritical clerks kept them (pagan works) secretly-I guess if they did, then your religion are full of hypocrites.. please

  • @pranhu - ure bad english I have no issue with, but if u r goin to rant, at least get some of ure facts right. No doubt Islamic scholars transalated alot from Greek sources, but how on earth could a bunch of desert dwelling Arabs suddenly know Greek and translate it to Arabic? The fact is they didnt. It was Syrian Christian communities aka known as the Nestorians that did that work of the transalations. Byzantine Christians too were doing it.

  • @pranhu - Roman Catholics were called on the Pope to preserve whatever knoweledge they could save as the Empire crumbled around them, which is what the monks did. Ireland particulary was not hurt by the barbarian invasions and Irish monks helped reinvigorate Western Europe. Muslims did their part, but dont let ure prejudice and ure bias towards Chrisitanity cloud ure thoughts!

  • @savioblanc Seriously, I think Christianity is a destroyer rather than a preserver. Christianity is trying to redeem themselve from whatever they have done to humanity ever since two mileniums ago (i can keep it going on-and- on but people have already mentioned it in the discussion). God please... help me save from your fellows. Amen

  • @pranhu - ure prejudice and bias r showing. I don't think a rational argument with you is going to work. The fact that u can accuse Christianity - the same religion responsible for the university system, today used worldwide and the hospital network, to name but a few - tells me rational thought is not part of ure day to day living. No doubt, Christians have destroyed alot, no doubt they have gone against their own beliefs but to paint the picture ure painting, is just plain dumb! Sad...

  • @savioblanc and you called yourself Christian? Let me slap your left cheek then turn on your right cheek so i can it hard. You heart are on fire right now. Angry? You knew that the previous pope give a speech for a public apology for their humanity crime. gee. You just dont have rational mind. No doubt that your English is better than mind but my rational critizms is not to the second. Biiiyattzzz

  • @pranhu - The bad English was never a problem but ure irrational rants are an issue sadly! Please, slap my left cheek, then slap my right too...then wait, while I break ure hands and rotate them towards you, slap u with them, all the while taunting you while i keep saying "stop slapping ure self" repeatedly. I know u assume i'm Chrisitan...I'm worse, I'm Catholic - cultural that too...and I also do know my history very well thank u. I dont boast I know more than average historians but I knw enof

  • @pranhu ahhh, I see u knw about the previous Pope and his apologies. Sadly, it seems, u like the major media networks, got too excited bout the apologies without actually finding out wht the apologies were or if he really was apologising for wat u think he was apologising for! u thnk he aplogised, say for the Crusades. Yes and Nooo...Yes, he apologised for the innocent blood spilt by Christians, No, he did not apologise for the Church calling for the Crusades or for Christians going on Crusades!

  • @pranhu u thnk he apologised for the Galileo trial - Yes and Noooo...he aplogised on behalf of the Church for allowing petty politics and emotions come in the way of a fair trial, he did not apologise for Galileo being condemned for his views. He "regretted" the incorrect decision, he did not apologise for it.

Same with all his apologies - he, like any Catholic, accepted that Catholic Christians did wrongs but made it clear that Church doctrine did not support those who did those wrongs!

  • Love this movie, can't believe it wasn't in wide theatrical release, what a disappointment. I guess Americans such as myself, have to be protected against anti-religious movies.

Which is a load of old bullshit.

  • @johncrab67 - actually America needs protection from stupid anti-historical movies mainly becos the average American gets his/her knowledge of history from the movies. Sad but true....and on the basis of what you've mentioned here, it looks like u are part of that group of Americans....hmmmm :(

  • I saw it a month ago at a prescreening and can't wait to see it again. Maybe even tonight at kookíca, now that it's open here. It i really perfect movie, trust to me. You will like it.

  • A beautifully crafted film. Obviously a lot of time and love was put into its creation and the end result is gorgeous. Extraordinary acting. You can see it on kookíca. Really prefect movie!

  • This was just as good as all those fantastic originals I have seen at kookíca for the last few days.. I could watch these movies everyday and not get tired of it. Save your money and time and watch it for free any time you want. The best time for you!

  • The director of the film Alejandro Amenabar, said one time he was gay, he directed two films which cristianity is criticed, yes this time i agree with him, but if cristianity critices homosexuality Islam aswell, Amenabar you are a great director but in your films you only atack this relition, i agree this relition made atrocities but not is the only one, im from your country Spain

  • @CARLOSGURO - i think its becos this film director, like most liberal film makers, does not have the balls to show Islam in the way they show Chrisitanity becos they are basically a bunch of limp cowards. They knw Christians will not kill them, they know Muslims will. If you were a homo liberal limp ass wuss of a movie maker, which religion would u attack? U know the answer already Carl...

  • Love, love, loved this film. The final scene just broke my heart, it was so arrestingly beautiful. Max Minghella and Rachel Wiesz were stunning and both deserve Oscars. xx

  • a shame..they burned down the great library of alexandria, a damn shame

  • @MarchoZarin A professor in college asked our class if we could go back in time where would we go. Some said to a specific event, some a sporting event, for me it was the library in Alexandria. I believe it held great knowledge, that could be useful even today and probably held answers to many mysteries that still exist.

  • @mahalcat those people who said " sporting events" why didnt you just shoot them right there on the spot theyre wasting air
