  • when i am in a slump like that I try to remember that I am at rest, and waiting for new inspiration. It is in those still periods that you are open re grouping .

    Always grateful to you,

  • I wondered who was eating all the sardines :) Great to see ya feeling better Gary. Cheers. Tom

  • yeah well sardines are good for you lol just not that many...not good on the breath or the....;)

  • I agree with artsycalgal, I like the first version of the filigrees too because of the same reason. They are so beautiful, they really touch my soul, especially the mummy.

Your Zanzibar teapot is stunning :)

  • Well i am almost finished the mummy can't wait to see what you think of it ;)

  • The email you read also explained pretty much how I feel.... your journey and your techniques have taught me so much about my art journey and myself in a way I didn't know was possible. You have taught me to be fearless and to keep expirmenting and trying new things... again thank you for this channel. You are a great artist and teacher

  • Thankyou so much for your comments, i really appreciate everything you had to say...it definitely gives me my drive to keep going, to keep bettering myself...Your a star;)

  • Love your sardine can sculptures! They are FAB! The song you used it wonderful as well, I haven't heard it for the longest time, it had me dancing around the kitchen. Your table looks like mine LOL!

  • Hey Gary! It is so nice to see you again! I have been a bit worried about you, since I have noticed a bit of a change. I truly hope everything is okay in your little corner of the world! I am afraid that you are getting "burnt out". I am torn because I think you could use a bit of a break, but selfishly, I would miss your videos! What a don't see a change in, is your fabulous artwork! It's just as awesome as ever. Oh, and if I am ever in your corner of the world...you MUST take me shopping! Hugs

  • yesturday during my painting class i was fustrated. Acrylic suck. They dry to quick. Maybe i should try out oil instead. Especially using yellow is complicated, it is alway see threw. I tried to draw glass but it never looks like everyone elses. But thanks with the inspiring videos.

  • Love the tea pot. Only I'd really use it! Ha! Oh I'd really love to go shopping in your thrift shops!

  • Yep come over...i have plenty of room...u can even milk a cow if u like...and we can attack the thrift shops

  • Oh I would love that! Me, milking a cow? OMG! I would love that! Hahahahahaha. Well, if my ship ever comes in, I will come for a visit, that's for sure!

  • So we head into the terribly terrible dark... worse where you are than here...

Nice to see you and I hope you got my various messages, looking forward to getting the thing you promised to send me???

  • Ooooooo, yeah. I like what you did to the Goddess! And the Mummy is coming along nicely..fabulous placement of the roses. I like the first version of the filigrees on the doors because it doesn't take attention away from the doors or the figure. A shopping trip..what fun! About your energy level..like many, it sounds like you are suffering from SAD..Seasonal Affective Disorder. Lack of sunshine..there are lamps that help with the symptoms.

  • I hear you master and i obey he he ;) You are the creative genius,,your husband is one truly lucky man ;)

  • Awe hunee, take all the time you need. We'll all be right here when you get back in stride. Funny, your down-time looks pretty damn productive to me! Love all the projects in progress!

  • Yeah i am productive most of the time in some creative form or another...Sending you much warmth from haugesund ;)

  • If you EVER sell either of the sardine cans-please please let me know; I love them

  • I will definitely let you know...i am planning on having about 30 of them...all different. and i want to exhibit them in USA at some point next year..if i can find a cool gallery..

  • I love, LOVE that mummy. I love it even more after your comment about it... Afraid to open up, to be vulnerable...

You sure are an inspiration! Thanks for sharing.

    Peace

    Carla

  • Hey Carla, sorry for the late reply...just have to be patient as i eventually will reply LOL...it isn't until after the work begins that the ideas come up...i still think it is cool and weird why i do the things i do LOL
