@TheSchmuckLook Certainly the inability of the govt to tax growers is a major contributing factor to the continuing prohibition but more so than that are the big businesses that would stand to lose if it were legalized. The biggest contributors to Partnership for a Drug Free America are private prisons, pharmaceutical companies and alcohol/tobacco companies. It's these industries that are pouring countless millions into lobbying against legalization bc they stand to lose so much.
