@SMGleader nope....i have personally seen two in person, one was at cabellas and the other in a private collection. plus in the movie tremmors 4 they used one that looked entirely different, they were invented back in the wild west era for duck hunting but are now outlawed in most states due to the ability to get an entire flock with one shot, in fact arizona game and fish claims these punt guns were a major factor in the decline of ducks and geese around the world

There's a huge punt gun in the NRA's National Firearms Museum. It was used in the Chesapeake Bay during the 1800's to take down flocks of birds with one shot.

Nothing like a punt gun to darken your day. What surprises me the most about this is that Tom Knapp actually wanted to get filmed near one, given the reputation they have. An individual would set up this gun in a Longboat, or similar vessel, and while using palm paddles slowly move up on a flock of resting or feeding birds. In one shot you could take out everything in front of it. Technically they arn't shotguns as they could fire anything you could load into them. Personally they make me sick.
