How do you downgrade from Rita to Lumen?! Like I said, season six better be the best one yet - they owe us a huge apology for Lumen.

Here is my therory--- Dex allows Lumen to take out Jordan Chase as he probably watches from a distance. Deb and Quinn break in thinking she killed the others as well. She kills Jordan Chase and Deb/Quinn kill her - effectively taking Dexters secret to the grave. It has to end this way. And I'm sure Dexter will take out the cop thats been eyeballing him secretly as well.

The odds of Lumen dying are minimal. Jordan doesn't get his hands dirty; he'd never kill her himself, and all of his pawns are dead, except of course Emily, who doesn't seem capable of it. That's the only person I could see killing her. And again, Dexter can't kill her without breaking the code. A far-stretched but interesting conclusion would be if Jordan had manipulative control over Lumen the same way he does Emily.

They cant simply kill off Luman as they have done in the past to everyone else who knows. arrested and released and finally goes home. I see the season ending with Debrah finding out that Dexter is helping Luman kill the guys or maybe she believes luman is using dexter to get info. Quinn and the other cop have to be killed off somehow. Best season so far since the 1st.
@likethelinen Exactly. It has been foreshadowed throughout the season that Debra has no qualms about killing people who deserve it - which is what Dexter does after all. Add to that that Debra has repeatedly admitted that her life will fall apart without Dexter, she might not have so many qualms about killing an already crooked cop (whom the show writers have tried to make as dirty as possible). All the pieces fit together methinks...
Interesting point, I'm excited to see how this all unravels. I would love to see how Deb takes out Liddy if you're right.
A Facebook comment on one of the posts a while ago said that this was the most boring season ever, what the f#ck? I think this season is the most controlled, by Dexter, season yet. Even when things do seem sour at times, it seems like quite a development in most of the characters from the Lieutenant and Batista to Quinn and Debra and especially Aster.
It would too predictable that Lumen dies now, just as always they will find a way to make our eyes wide open at the end of the season! Aaand it took so long for Dexter to find out about the camera, Lumen made him blind! =]
I agree, it sounds like quite an entanglement, but I read somewhere that Julia Stiles is just a recurring character and that she's not going to be in the next season. So, I don't know what they're going to do with her- I prefer not seeing her die. I was actually not expecting a lot from Lumen's character, but her acting and the writing outlandishly proved me wrong; I'm extremely pleased with how Dexter and Lumen worked so well together.
Yeah, he's definitely not a likable character, Detective Liddy, but that's how they wrote him. I, for one, am pleased how well they executed in not only acting but the writing on how batshit insane they made him out to be.
After the duo kills Jordan Chase, Liddy finds out the truth about Dexter and presents it to Debra in Homicide Dept. Debra then kills Liddy in order to protect Dexter, Debra confronts Dexter and Lumen about the truth. BOOM season finale

1. Dexter wouldn't kill Quinn or Liddy unless he has proof that they killed innocents. He has only killed outside the code by accident or in self defence (or that paedophile that went after Astor). That's why he locked Doakes up for so long, since he didn't know what to do with him (it's been a while since I saw that episode so forgive me if I'm wrong).
2. The nanny is IRISH, Lila was ENGLISH. Suure there could be some convoluted story having them related but it's unlikely.
I can't see them killing off Lumen but I absolutely LOVE her and Dexter together. Killing her off is so redundant, but I can't see any other way for someone who knows his secret to end up.

Jordan Chase sure as hell is the main badguy of this season, but rly it's Robocop who's the real problem in this season. He's got material evidence of Dexter being a killer. But my guess is, that he's gonna try and blackmail Quinn, instead of showimg the videos to teh cops... at least I really hope so..!

'Love this show, and I've never been so frightened for Dexter (such an odd position to be in, rooting for a serial killer, but that's what makes the show so intriguing!) But I must take isssue with the above description, "Dexter realizes someone is watching Lumen and himself." "... watching Lumen and HIM is correct. "Myself" and "yourself" are constantly misused. Correct use of HIMSELF: "Dexter picked the lock himself," "Dexter hated himself." Hey ~ I can love Dexter AND English grammar!

Has anyone else suspected the nanny has a very subtle but key role in all this? When Lumen found the shamrock necklace that she claimed was hers, I felt like some kind of a connection is hiding there.

I love it how Dexter FINALLY has someone to be completely honest with, especially a lover. I am going to be rather upset if she ends up being killed! The way I see this going is next season having a still new and rather hot serial killing couple. ;D

They cant simply kill off Luman as they have done in the past to everyone else who knows. arrested and released and finally goes home. I see the season ending with Debrah finding out that Dexter is helping Luman kill the guys or maybe she believes luman is using dexter to get info. Quinn and the other cop have to be killed off somehow. Best season so far since the 1st.

@likethelinen Exactly. It has been foreshadowed throughout the season that Debra has no qualms about killing people who deserve it - which is what Dexter does after all. Add to that that Debra has repeatedly admitted that her life will fall apart without Dexter, she might not have so many qualms about killing an already crooked cop (whom the show writers have tried to make as dirty as possible). All the pieces fit together methinks...

A Facebook comment on one of the posts a while ago said that this was the most boring season ever, what the f#ck? I think this season is the most controlled, by Dexter, season yet. Even when things do seem sour at times, it seems like quite a development in most of the characters from the Lieutenant and Batista to Quinn and Debra and especially Aster.

I agree, it sounds like quite an entanglement, but I read somewhere that Julia Stiles is just a recurring character and that she's not going to be in the next season. So, I don't know what they're going to do with her- I prefer not seeing her die. I was actually not expecting a lot from Lumen's character, but her acting and the writing outlandishly proved me wrong; I'm extremely pleased with how Dexter and Lumen worked so well together.

Yeah, he's definitely not a likable character, Detective Liddy, but that's how they wrote him. I, for one, am pleased how well they executed in not only acting but the writing on how batshit insane they made him out to be.

After the duo kills Jordan Chase, Liddy finds out the truth about Dexter and presents it to Debra in Homicide Dept. Debra then kills Liddy in order to protect Dexter, Debra confronts Dexter and Lumen about the truth. BOOM season finale

1. Dexter wouldn't kill Quinn or Liddy unless he has proof that they killed innocents. He has only killed outside the code by accident or in self defence (or that paedophile that went after Astor). That's why he locked Doakes up for so long, since he didn't know what to do with him (it's been a while since I saw that episode so forgive me if I'm wrong).
2. The nanny is IRISH, Lila was ENGLISH. Suure there could be some convoluted story having them related but it's unlikely.

i AM SO SUPER STOKED THAT THEY ARE FINALLY TOGETHER! - I think Julia Stiles is an amazing actress and I am really impressed on her take with a darker role- she's very intelligent- i've got the cosmo she was in and her interview was probably one of the best I've ever read considering I find interviews really boring- but she has a natural acting ability and a good head on her shoulders- I hope she is a permanent cast member :)

Jordan Chase sure as hell is the main badguy of this season, but rly it's Robocop who's the real problem in this season. He's got material evidence of Dexter being a killer. But my guess is, that he's gonna try and blackmail Quinn, instead of showimg the videos to teh cops... at least I really hope so..!
Cuz if Dexter gets caught, it's the end of the series, and I'd really hate that :/
