The Remington Premier Accutip slugs and the copper solid slugs are both SABOT SLUGS meant for a rifled barrel. That shotgun has a smoothbore which is meant to shoot the cheaper RIFLED SLUGS. You're wasting money by shooting sabots in a smoothbore because rifled slugs will be much more accurate.

Just picked that boo-yah up today! I love the carbon weave body. Wife thinks its too damn big lol. Just for home defense mainly . I set it up, first two rounds 00 buck. if that don't do the trick, its 1 0z. slugs till shes empty. Hope it don't get that far cuz that shit would zip right through my neighbors too.. sheesh! Maybe id better take them slugs out.

On the subject of slugs: you're not worried about overpenetration? Those slugs could easily go through to the next room, or worse, the next house.

I would think that 00 buck would be just fine for HD, that's what I go with. It's like being hit with 9 .36 cal bullets at once.

fearless2005, dont know if this has already been said, but dont shoot sabot slugs out of a smooth barrel. there will be shit "accuracy" as the slugs wont stabilize during flight. use regular rifled slugs, for example remington sluggers. you will get much better groups and its a lot cheaper too

I'm in New York, and in New York State you don't need a License to own a Shotgun or rifle, unless you have a felony. You do need a Pistol permit to own, carry & conceal a Hand gun. When it comes to your vehicle, you can TRANSPORT an unloaded Rifle or shot gun in the trunk your car from one place to another legally, but not as a form of protection.

Practice, practice, practice! :) Fire different slugs, and just pay attention on how the slug reacts. Lining up the two beads helps you keep things a little more centered, and watch your breathing.

No... I use slugs for defense and target, but other rounds can be fired from it.
