Everyone who bought the official reproduction guitar; the artist who painted the original interpretation: limited people? Mr. Hendrix didn't get a one of a kind guitar made, play it for just one show, then light it on fire and smash it up and give the pieces to the audience so we could make replicas. His monterey strat was a statement on the ephemeral and these guitars kind of undermine that. That said, I don't really care lol.

every move jimi mada was calculated even the guitar he sacrificed it would make history and he knew it he made his own history from the beginning he was a selfmade star his dressing and his weird style of comunicating it was all in his head to do it he knew every move from his life even his dead but he didnt know who was going to kill him

I agree, his actual songwriting is often overlooked in favour of the more sensational aspects of his playing/life, but its my favourite part of his music

Exactly. His songwriting is what made him so good, not his flashy playing; there have been far better showmen and more technically proficient players. However, nobody could have written "Little Wing" or "1983" but him in my opinion.

Yeah, it frustrates me that the only songs you ever hear are "Purple Haze" "Foxey Lady" "Hey Joe" and "All Along The Watchtower." Two of those were covers and the other two are probably two of his weekest songs. He wrote SO many great and beautiful songs....

the fender replicas weren't made to be exact copies of the design hendrix drew on his before the show, they were an artists interpretation of his design. the version i did is based on the fender design with some additional changes - no fade, green leaves instead of blue.

yep, sanded a little before (really fine sandpaper, 800+ grit), and clear coated with polyurethane (automotive clear) after.
