@98piggo it sounds like your ready to move on to a "zero response" type of axle/bearing system, i recommend the auldey "blazing teens" line of yoyos, you can get expert quality features, such as a concave bearing, for under $20, they have metals, plastics, as well as plastic/metal hybrids

@MrColosus99 Duncan yoyos are "responsive" which means, they come up when you pull them. If you want a yoyo that doesn't do this, then I highly recommend the one he is using in this video (Dark Magic). It is cheap for how good of a yoyo it is. Hope this helps ;D

hey expert village awesome teaching on this trick i learned it from this video. Just one thing to say to some of the viewers is the thumb that u put in comes easy... and the more of a single fluent motion u make it the easier the loop and landing and all that is. So learn the fundamentals then practice them as one motion it was much easier for me that way. Hope this helps

@81596david If your only yo-yo's been a Stinger, I think the YoYoJam plastics should give you the additional spin time you need at a reasonable price. I like the YoYoJam Kickside and Journey at this price point and level, others swear by the Lyn Fury or the Speed Maker. All of these go for about USD $15, plus shipping, since they're primarily available online.

@81596david On the other hand, these don't give you the best spin time available, nowhere near. However, any better-spinning yo-yos will be unresponsive: they won't return to the hand at a tug. If you already know how to do a bind return, or are willing to learn how, then an unresponsive yo-yo like the YoYoJam Legacy (~$22) or the YoYoFactory Grind Machine, Counter Attack, (~$30 for either), ProtoStar, or NorthStar (~$35 for either) will give you even better spin time.

im kinda intermediate to adv but i coudent afford a expensive yoyo i just have a yomega dash and to me its great it has 2.5 min sleep and is pretty small it was £22 - 30$ yay also kitty string 100% poly is good string had it for 1 week and not oe string has broke

It will spin for a really long time, but the gap on that thing is so huge that I couldnt even bind it back. And I wasnt using a high end string either, it was just a 50 50 cotton/polyester blend. that yoyo is more expert level than advanced.

big difference, especially if your just starting out. metal yoyos arent for begginers because they are made of soft lightweight aluminums. if they get hit on anything it will scratch or dent.

you take the bearing out and soak/shake it in paint thinner or lighter fluid and let it dry and apply some thin lube afterward

Thin lube is kind of optional; if you play a completely dry bearing, it spins a lot longer but it screams like a banshee and it will eventually wear out. What a lot of pros do is clean the bearing and put a tiny amount of lube in it, as in less than half a drop. This quiets it down some and prolongs the life of the bearing without reducing performance.

Also, you need to deshield the bearing before you clean it; it gets a lot cleaner that way. There's several good YouTube tutorials out there, so just search for "deshield yoyo bearing" or something. Also, check out some forums like ExtremeSpin or TheYo.

Be wary when swinging the yoyo back into the Brain Twister mount...it whizzes right in front of your chin if you're not careful with string length!
