@yokiitaja1 If you want multiplayer, Men of War Assault Squad. For SP.... i think it's a matter of personal tastes, but i had a way greater SP longevity with Red Tide. (and fun).

this rapes CoH. in company of heroes, you have to shoot till the enemy's SQUADS health depletes. in this game, if they get shot, they'll die. not company of heroes, mg42 shooting them in the face for 5 minutes. and i like how in this game, you make your own squads. company of heroes was too strict with the squads

Running your squad towards the mounted machine guns isn't so smart. Just send one soldier at a time around the flank and advance using the cover of the deflation and employ cooked grenades to flush the trenches clear.

This xpac is only worth getting if you dont mind that its Single-Player only, mainly infantry/light tank fights. But i like MoW's single player better than this.

I have finished all in this series, there is soldiers heroes of ww2, a sequel to that Silent heroes of ww2, then faces of war, men of war and MOW red tide, Red tide is by far the best, more troops bigger battles ect, it slows down my pc tho I must need upgrade I have 2.7 Amd dual ATI HD ect ect.

for all others men of war is single and multiplayer where as red tide is JUST a single player expansion

well i havent played red tide but Men of war has 3 campaigns and as well you can download mods which add another 6 campaigns from the previous games as well as a VERY good multiplayer one of the best RTS multiplayer experiences ive had since i first played starcraft back in the day

Actually a general typically is pretty far from direct combat they need to think on the strategic scale and not so much on the tactical scale that is why you have NCOs and lower ranking officers they are the ones who need to know that you must flank a machine gun not bum rush it.

If you want a real tactical WW2 game, check out the Close Combat series. Men of War is good too, and it's nice that it's in 3D, but Close Combat is still the best RTT I've ever played.

@Redlightning7 What do you mean by realistic damage models? When i get hit by a tank shell, my infantry scatter and sit there for a few seconds before getting up. Not very realistic. I've not noticed the armour angles or bullet penetration. Why does an anti tank grenade always destroy my tank? Why do the infantry inside not die? Why can a 2 man crew drag a gigantic howitzer around? And why do infantry always know exactly how to drive a GERMAN tank, and know how to load shells and fire?
