@maraba Thanks to you! I was laughing about garrettkeetley comments, flooding this with stupid comments, and i cant wait for comment something hahahaaa !
there are a lot dumbasses here, in youtube, people who think they're the best or whatever
@GarrettKeetley It's called a sleeper, smartass. You make something fast that other people wouldn't expect to be fast and you bruise egos and get big cheers at the drag races. I'll bet turbocharging my Volvo was a waste too since it isn't worth much huh? Well, except for the fact that it's all pretty much junkyard parts so it's cost me $2,000 including the car to get where I am now. Yeah, and I'll be running 11s with about $3,500 invested by the summer.
Yea the previous post's were correct, the turbo was no good, it had excessive shaft play, and the blades were touching the housing. After removing the shaft you can see blue lines along with copper which is marking form the bearings, and the blue representing overheated metal.
^^^ Couldnt agree more. Try checkin for shaft play. That bad boy sounds blown, but hey, could be wrong and something else? haha never hurts to be optomistic

It sounds to me that the bearing in the turbo had dried and seized. Therefore causing the whistling

definatly a case of fanblades rubbing along the housing of the turbine. what model and year is this nissan? and is the turbine factory or aftermarket
Jagethemage 6 months ago
@Jagethemage Its a 1997 Maxima, the turbine was factory hx35, I have since then upgraded to an HX40Pro
