@BCFDRay He was there @VP. Many of us are living under the illusion that if his father had "been there" for him he wouldn't be on the streets or schizophrenic. This is a nice dream, but not the real world conditions. Some people don't choose to live in homes. What do you do then? Turn them over to Manuel Ramos?
Police are enabled to commit these atrocities against citizens guilty of nothing because the citizenry is unarmed and unprotected. This sort of thing didn't happen in the 50's and 60's because a few ex-military guys or group of farm boys would catch these murderers AND the DA. The next day the public would find them all missing or dead. Why haven't citizens squashed this problem yet? This will only get worse the longer nothing is done. You think police will get better? You need to think again.
Wake up naive, sheltered sheep. This incident is not even the tip of the police-misconduct iceberg. This is the one of a million police crimes which was caught on video/audio and has received international publicity. Hence, the self-righteously indignant, just-for-show pursuit by the self-important prosecutor who is trying to make a name for himself. Normally, killer cops are never even legitimately investigated, much less prosecuted.
Cops are sanctimonious, Constitution-trashing felons who have extreme contempt for both the taxpayers who pay their salaries and the laws which they are paid to uphold. The police are not policed. These dumb macho shit-heads are rarely held accountable for their crimes, hence their propensity to perpetrate them. When you hand a bullied, inept, low-IQ loser a minuscule amount of unregulated power, he will abuse it to the hilt to compensate for his insecurities.
Judging by their articulation, logic, syntax, semantics and morphology, police officers and their supporters are usually inarticulate, sub literate, poorly educated, below-average-IQ simpletons. Thus, it is no surprise that they are easily brainwashed into believing that civilians can do no right and cops can do no wrong -- even when they rape, rob or steal. I doubt that most police supporters would be taken seriously by anyone with an IQ above 80 and an education beyond the fourth grade.
Police officers are brainwashed into deifying and glorifying cops whilst dehumanizing civilians and viewing them as criminals and the evil enemy. Thus, even the so-called good cops always support the most evil cops because they believe that cops can do no wrong. Due to a gargantuan lack of answerability in any police force, this us-against-them mindset is perpetually fed at the expense of the law-abiding taxpayers who compensate them, via en masse police crime and other misconduct.
The first duty of law enforcement should be to police their own departments. I think there should be a law created in the name of Kelly Thomas where by if a law enforcement officer is convicted of a serious crime his direct superior should be named as an accessory for allowing an environment where it could happen. Accountability
CALL AND TELL THEM HOW YOU FEEL Fullerton Police General 714.738.6800 Jail 714.738.6722 Chief of Police Michael Sellers 714.738.6825 Captain, Acting Chief of Police Kevin Hamilton 714.738.6841 Captain, Uniform Division Dan Hughes 714.738.6840 Captain, Services Division Alex Bastreri 714.738.6839 Lieutenant, Traffic Bureau Scott Rudisil 714.738-6816 Sergeant, Police Public Information Officer Andrew Goodrich 714.738.6838
Call 714-738-6800 and let the Fullerton Police Department know how you feel about this matter.
Officer Joseph Wolfe, Officer Kenton Hampton, Officer Kevin Craig, and OfficerJames Blatney are still employed by the Fullerton Police Dept. and aided in holding down Kelly Thomas while he was beaten to death
Sick of this guy he just wants to llook like a saint and get millions from the police. If he really cared about his son he wouldnt have been homeless.
@sprknfde - That is not true. I don't know their personal story, but i work with mentally ill people and many of them chose to be homeless even when they have family and friends willing to take them in. Mental illness is very complicated and many times they feel at home on the streets...
It appears tuskbedro didn't watch the entire press conference...the main officer involved was ALSO charged with 2nd degree murder. This is the real charge with the manslaughter charge just a backup charge is the rare case the jury says no to the murder charge. All the cops involved need to get what is coming to them, but making vigilante threats, especially against family members who did nothing is vulgar and doing so makes you know better than the police cowards to started this whole thing
@mikedomes those people have families too. you expect them to just attack the cops? there were 6 cops all with guns. alot of people would have been shot.
The FBI is spending more resources searching for the hackers who posted nude photos of Scarlett Johansson on the internet than they are investigating the 6 Fullerton cops who tortured and killed Kelly Thomas.
Don't worry everybody, soon the citizens of Fullerton will feel safe knowing that these heinous nude pictures are no longer roaming the internet.
Keep it moving folks, it's just your tax dollars hard at work... as usual.
Clearly they murdered his son. I was surprised to hear he was a cop - they may have known that and went after him intentionally but who knows. I heard they tased him and the onlookers said he was defenseless on the ground where he could have been easily cuffed. they tased him 5 times in fact plus beat him. that is murder not police work.
The City of Fullerton is paying $76,000.00 a month to the 6 cops who killed Kelly Thomas to sit at home and drink beer (stay-cation = stay at home vacation).
That's $12,666.00 per month per cop. Multiply that by 12 months and these cops make more than $150,000.00 a year.
These cops and their union are laughing at you the American taxpayer all the way to the bank; mocking you and calling you a sucker.
Any one who knows the names of the,... (scum),... police officers who did this to this man,..." NAME THEM ",....including there addresses,...phone numbers,...members of there familys,.... and any other relevant information,..... Please list this information,...I am sure thousands of people would love to know,... So we can do our own investigation.....Right people........REST IN PEACE KELLY....To the Thomas family,...Sorry for your loss...To the " PIGS " that did this,...Hope you rot in HELL.
@tuskbedro The "Peace Officers" who murdered homeless Mr. Thomas have been charged with "Involuntary Manslaughter". This is the charge one would get for recklessly crashing a car and accidentely someone dies.
@hotdog12ify your a fucking idiot. Obviously you don't know what the hell your talking about so keep your bullshit comments to yourself you piece of shit.
you money sucking bug. where were u when ur son was homeless. hope u don't get a fkng penny out of this ordeal. you nor anybody else can clearly say what happend and kelly took the secret with him. true, they should have not killed him but, when a cop tells u to behave, u damn better do so. after all, who du u call when some one is messing with you. u ronny, r no different than the rest of those blood suckers. should have taken ur son in he wud still be here.
@hotdog12ify Kelly Thomas was a grown man. His father, other family & friends supported him even though he was homeless.Try telling your grown son what to do, where to live, what medications to take & not to take and see how easily he listens to you. We don't know whether or not his father had him placed in hospitals involuntarily in the past (I suspect he had)
This is a freaking shame. All the negative comments about the police and law enforcement in general. But, nobody but the police were there fighting him to pass judgement.Police officers are human and want to go home safe to their families also. What's a bigger shame is how all of a sudden a homeless man is being loved and cherished by the family who left him out on the streets knowing he was sick. Where were you before the beating DADDY? Money is what you care about not your son.
@hotdog12ify Even still, placing someone in the hospital against their will is often difficult & can only be forced on a person so many times. I know people with schizophrenia and they are, at best, not easy to communicate with. I strongly urge you to look at more video on youtube showing Kelly Thomas's face after the beating and the testimony of the witnesses on the bus and see if you still feel as though he wasn't murdered.
@ollysmommy my dear, dear friend. i never said he wasn't murdered. u may have misunderstood my comment. i agree, he was murdered and the cops shud get what's coming to them. i am also aware of peoples behavior when they are not right in their minds. unfortunately, it cost him his life. accept my apology if i appeared cold blooded which i am not. i have 4 grndaughters, 2 grt grndsons, and a grtgrndaughter that i love very much. sorry again.
Police everywhere need training in how to identify and manage incidents involving a mentally ill person. California’s mental health system is a disaster. Not enough diagnosis/treatment options for those who are ill and destitute. The National Alliance on Mental Illness provides Crisis Intervention Training for police dpts that equips them with knowledge/strategies for a more restrained approach to dealing with the mentally ill.
Folks, for the record, just in case you all haven't figured this out ..... there will always be criminals in any law enforcement agency. In this case - I don't think the average person really gives a flying fuck about a homeless man, however, since this was a "police beating" or act of excessive force I see just how many blow this up into a spectacle. The nature of life holds that one can hardly trust nobody. Hell, I believe in vigilante justice but conversely it is seen as criminal too.
@DetroitLove4U --- they make the laws so bad cops can easily get off the hook because in their in the line of duty. they has special laws that make it hard to prosecute cops that kill when they apprehend a suspect. they could say anyone is a suspect.
Ron is right .It is important for all to get on the same page. Difficult to do as everyone has a related but different cause they are promoting. Rights for the mentally ill. Police and abuse by the system. Homelessness. Transparency, Justice. We all need to remember we are many flags and yet one nation on this and need to work together. Bring your issues to the events and stand united with your support for Ron's family and justice for Kelly. One voice together will be heard louder and clearer.
Why no one did anything? Here in Finland it doesn't matter who it is, civilian, police, army, if they use their authority wrong and beat someone up, it will be stopped, if there is someone who sees it. I can't understand that these people just stood there and did nothing. If you are afraid to help the helpless, you don't deserve help. And you won't get it.
ALL COPS abide by the "Code of Silence". ALL COPS receive the same training. ALL COPS belong to a government employee union that shouldn't exist, NOT a labor union. Kelly Thomas was bullied and beaten to death by government union members and now their union brotherhood is aiding and abetting the killer cops by withholding information and dereliction of duty. Citizens need to locate the six murderers and arrest them. If they resist arrest then your course of action is clear. Use necessary force.
I find it interesting that if you stand by and do nothing when a crime happens...like say 6 large armed thugs beating a homeless mentally disabled person to death..you can be charged under the "good samaritan law" for not taking action. Yet the "good cops" that stand by and just watch are not even reprimanded. Apparently all of the police have placed themselves above the law. Long past time we change all of that.
The district attorney needs to resign. They're the reason why cops are out of control because they refuse to file charges on them. One eye murdering piece of shit faggot, I hope you all go to pelican bay and get raped and beaten every day of your pathetic life's you coward's.
@KicksonFire392 Good question, but with the mental problems Thomas had, it probably was very hard to live with him over the years. Who really knows, only the family does. If he had substance issues under the roof of an officer, things could get downright nasty between them. Then again, maybe he chose the street, not smart to do, but he wasn't apparently in a reasonable mental state to do what was in his best interests. Sad situation no matter how you slice it.
This is a military government and we are ruled by a military dictator called the POTUS. Wake up America, you are all fucked because you have allowed this kind of shit to happen. The truth is, even George "wooden teeth" Washington was a fraud...these cops are a product of your own ignorance. Let there be war...
The police enjoy the benefits of being the only armed people circulating among unarmed. They stalk the people in search of revenue. You must obey their verbal commands or suffer physical harm. They have no fear of being seen committing a crime because no one has a gun to stop them and other officers will corroborate a rehearsed story. Among citizens this isn't so. All it takes is ONE person to begin to sympathize saying, But they have a hard job, and it's over. You think cops sympathize with us?
The answer to police brutality and abusive power under the color of authority is NOT mass protest demonstrations, which are futile, but organizing and lawfully forming a grand jury and indicting the perpetrators holding public office. Once indicted, the perpetrators must face trial and will have to defend their position. Revitalize the Grand Jury and the Militia and the balance of power will quickly change. Peace and Justice to all.
@ornelas3830 Coomon Law is the law of OUR land. Form Common Law juries and we shall hold court in OUR land...which is the land where Kelly Thomas was murdered. We need to send these killers to prison for life and leave them in the open prison population where the people they have fucked up can seek there own form of prison justice.
Its a shame that the family now steps in with attorneys, lawsuits and the blame game well after their "son" has been living on the streets with schizophrenia. Is that how we treat family members with mental illness...? Leave them homeless on the streets and wait to collect once life support has been disconnected. We will never know how long Kelly would have survived on life support, but we do know the family will survive very nicely with the money they collect.
@rosesRred500 Hey knucklehead, the father has already said that every penny he collects will go to charity for the mentally ill and homeless of America. Get a clue dickwad.
@djherich So what are you a home grown terrorist thats anti goverment...so over rated, Homeland Security will take care of you in no time. Im happy and glad the father is donating every penny to help people like you, because obviously you are a little bit on the mentally ill side yourself. Good luck to you schizo.
@djherich So what are you a home grown terrorist...so over rated, Homeland Security will take care of you in no time. Im happy and glad the father is donating every penny to help people like you, because obviously you are a little bit on the mentally ill side yourself. If the United States is so bad and our founding Fathers were so poluted I am almost positive they could use your citizenship in Iraq!
There's evil all over the world. Every military and police force in recorded history has had bad people in it, as well as decent people trying to change things for the better. Some cops actually DO believe in "protect and serve", and I bet it pisses them off to no end to see bad cops giving all of them a bad image.
Pray for our leaders, our police, and our military, so they don't forget who it is they're risking life and limb for. Jesus said obey the law of the land for the sake of peace.
@djherich THESE particular cops DO need to lay down their guns, turn in their badges, and face murder and aggravated assault with deadly force, and other charges.
But not ALL cops, I don't want to live in Mad Max's world, there's too much sand.
The LAST thing anyone needs is gangs and crackheads having free reign to loot and pillage.
But yeah, cops should be held accountable for crimes just like a regular citizen. With the badge should come greater responsibility. This is not ancient Rome.
I probably sound like a crazy person, so let me clarify. I don't believe ALL cops are bad, in fact I've met several who helped me greatly in times of need, and one cop even decided not to write me a ticket a while back because it was my birthday. Some cops are actually honest, decent people TRYING to make a positive change in society. Not all of them are bad. The problem is that psychos WANT to be authority figures, and so lots of psychos join police and military to oppress others.
The REAL "War on Terror" will begin when the people of the USA kick out the U.N. and the corrupt "officials" and take back the nation. Don't let them stifle your freedom of speech, don't let them take your religion as a "useless relic that inspires radicals", don't let them take your guns! The founding fathers gave us the right to bear arms specifically to protect against a tyrannical police state which is INEVITABLE when government has too much power.
The so-called "war on terror" is a lie (obviously). They send our troops overseas to murder foreigners and steal oil. The U.S. military recruits gang-bangers and
psychopaths, who get free training and combat experience, then come back here to terrorize the streets. The police are trained to avoid compassion as weakness, and to assume everyone is guilty until proven innocent.
Cops and gangs are the real terrorists, and the only difference is that cops have badges and political backing.
Does it take a horrible event like what happened to Kelly before people will look and help. Shawn Tischler has been missing for 81 days and 51 days since LBPD arrested him. KNBC Conan Nolan put his story on 6 o'clock news yesterday. The LINK is on the Media page at findshawnt website Help us to find Shawn before he comes to harm.
Time for vigilati justice. Find these monsters and beat them to death then the police chief as well for allowing this to happen. That's the only way to stop this kind of thing. This is going on more and more and will not stop till the people realize who the real criminals are and who their real enemy is.
whts wrong is wrong wht they did to that dude was wrong..they probably sittin some whr just laughin about the shit, they out there tryin to demonstrate their power.gosh!pathetic whr are the people who supose to be protestin,,why arent there like mad people just protestin, thts why they coutinue gettin away with shit,,word!motherfucking citizen aint shit,,,word,,show supporthow can a few battle wit da law,,we have to unite we are more doing it the legal way,,flood ur local politican office.call
Our prayers are with the family of Kelly Thomas and all others who suffer this illness. We have a new YouTube/findshawnt video with pictures of Shawn Tischler. We want you to know who Shawn is. His voice will be heard and he will not go silently into the night as those who cast him aside wish that he would. Help us to find Shawn before he comes to harm.
@420Honey - Obviously his family was not there or I'm sure they would have tried to help him. Most families don't have the resources or expertise to help somone with a mental illness. And...the individual has to want to get better also.
The ENTIRE police department in Fullerton was IN ON THE MURDER. Not ONE officer, dispatcher, lieutenant, or sergeant on duty took action to stop the lengthy murder. Furthermore, they took many steps to cover themselves and their union brothers. It gave a black eye to the Fullerton police department? Compared to what Kelly Thomas received? Surely you're joking. News of this murder was known by every cop the next day, and NOT ONE SAID A WORD! Only after pressure built was there an informant.
These six maniacs and their cover-up accomplices gave their entire department in Fullerton a black eye. That isone of the prime reasons we must get justice. If the bad ones aren't weeded out, everyone ends up with an equal share of the blame. The police union spends way too much time protecting the worst apples, and is a major part of the problem.
I am disgusted by what these ignorant, terrible police had done. I wish I knew what was going through their heads as they were murdering a poor, helpless, and good man. I wonder how they justified beating him straight to his death. I wonder how they can sleep at night knowing that they went to far. They killed a man, and there is no forgiveness for that. What was wrong with them? Those cops were sick, and I hope they never find peace for what they had done.
Good cop, bad cop. Six bad ones in one group?? Where is the good cop?? Where is NAMI and why aren't they all over this?? Kelly Thomas never killed anyone, can these six cops say the same?? And you say Kelly Thomas was the one with the mental illness?? Videos don't lie, these six cops were psychotic at the time of this death!! Life in prison is too good for these savages!!
Sure, his father being involved has a lot to do with it. But the truth is that the fine people of Fullerton are also doing a lot to ensure that this does not die.
@SirNoobX Fuck you! thats really stupid. You're fucking making this seem like it's not abuse. It was and it still happens. And hopefully thy get these assholes fucking convicted.
@DAVERUKY The Yanks in the USA, especially in the southwest, may be ahead of you on that one. Smart money says a few former special ops guys have taken personal interest in this murder.
Except for aggravated assaults on the arresting officers, there is absolutely no reason for this type of violence. "Resisting arrest" is known to be the battle cry of a cop with a grudge, its fairly obvious to anybody searching the net these days how police will yell this anthem while a suspect is; unconscious, not moving, on their stomach with face on the ground, etc. Often you will hear the suspect responding "Im not resisting", and for good reason. This is "Street Justice", plain & simple.
is absolutely no reason to simply beat the shit out of somebody with flashlights, knees to the face and head, kicking and stomping, etc. They are trained these things for a reason and in fact kicking is one of the least effective ways of restraining somebody. After only 1 year of this type of training I prevailed EASILY against two separate incidences where I was confronted with a young, large male with a knife trying to stab me. Both times I unarmed & subdued without a single strike.
"Ive taught police officers for years...arrestive control techniques" This is the one thing I always try to point out, many civilians and uninformed people simply dont realize that Police subduing of a suspect is nothing like a "Brawl", where it takes 3,4,5 or 6 guys to "Beat somebody into submission" They are taught combinations of Judo, Akido, Jiujitsu, Greco Roman Wrestling, etc., These are techniques which use the advantage of leverage, joint control and manipulation, restraint, etc. There
We are afraid of what may happen to my son Shawn in similar circumstances. It is very likely that his hesitation to respond to orders will be considered "resisting arrest" Shawn, is Schizophrenic and was arrested by Long Beach CA Police June 26th for no apparent reason. Shawn has not been seen anywhere since being taken by the Police. If he's still wandering the streets we pray we can find him before the police do. Please go to FINDSHAWNT on YouTube. We need your help and prayers
Mr Thomas i think you wont get justice as cops never get long for this kind of thing. Why dont you take a gun and go after these low life shits. Thats the only way I can see you getting justice, im in the uk but if i were there i'd do it for you.I hope some one in u.s. has enough common sense to do this for you.you all complain but until you do this nothing going to happen, officers still on duty i believe.
: an arrest made not by a law officer but by any citizen who derives the authority to arrest from the fact of being a citizen
Note: Under common law, a citizen may make an arrest for any felony actually committed, or for a breach of the peace committed in his or her presence.
there is also a video of fullerton pd attacking a man for video taping them punching some guy as they are slamming him to the ground :youtube(big fullerton cop hits cameraman) check it out and decide for yourself.
you know what? im reading todays newspaper (the orange county register) and it seems like the only investigation thats going on ,and making it to the public is on kelly thomas and his history ...........and what about the officers?,thats what i want to read about .....what they did(even though we already know) and why, also why they arent all in jail right now? THERE IS NO EXCUSE .....PERIOD.
People in fullerton and two city council members are demanding the resignation of the police chief and that traffic cam vids of the beating be made public. If you want to do the same.. the official public phone number of Chief Micheal Sellars is
@dgrasenify Your missing the point. Any mentally disabled person is going to have a difficult time out on the streets by themselves but the issue is with law enforcement and their abuse of power. These sick fucks felt they could do what they want to this guy and get away with it. This abuse goes on everywhere in law enforcement. All I can say is thank god for cell phone cameras/video. If fear of being caught by cell phones is what creates change then I will take it, nothing else seems to work.
@Metacognition88 Just imagine the level of corruption if we didn't have the tech we have today. How far away are we from it being illegal to record the misdeeds of law enforcement. Not far, I'd bet.
Support the family of Kelly Thomas by letting your voice be heard loud and clear. Crimes against the homeless are hate crimes. My son, Shawn, is Schizophrenic and was arrested by Long Beach CA Police June 26th for no apparent reason. Shawn has not been seen anywhere since being taken by the Police. Is he a victim of their"homeless policy." or wandering the streets to be the next victim for "resisting arrest"
Please go to FINDSHAWNT on YouTube. We need your help and prayers
I hope some gangbangers kill these pigs that did this. They are an insult to the good people of law enforcement.Punk ass thugs, these PIGS do not qualify to be in law enforcement.NO EXCUSE FOR THIS.
@lucifuehrer It's not as easy as you would think to get a mentally ill person the help they require. They need to recognize they have a problem and get help on their own. You can't make them do it. I've been through this and despite what you may think families often have no choice when it comes to their mentally ill relatives. The laws are on the side of the mentally ill. You can't force them to seek medical assistance , take medication or make them stay at home.
The father sounds like a very smart and non steroid raged person. If these officers had half the training that this father had then one of them could have had him on the ground handcuffed without killing him. This is what happens when you cross Barney Fife with steroids. The only justice is for these cops to go now live on the streets and to watch the lack of steroids drive them insane.
the good father knew. maybe he saw the infamous tape. they bashed his head so badly...our hope is with the truth. these overpaid cromagnon mental retards will never be allowed to serve their cheap steroid function and glory. o god let truth reign.
I would risk my life to save another, police or not id risk arrest and attack any individual or cop attacking somebody else for their own sadistic satisfaction. If these cops do not go to prison for murder American must lose all respect and faith for your law enforcement. Un professional thugs and scum..
From Australia...Watched the Video and we are saddened and sickened by what we have witnessed, Police, no these are Criminals in Law Enforcement, this kind of thing doesnt happen here because if it did you will not see citizens standing around doing nothing, all you individuals who stood by and did nothing are all responsible for this mans death, you all could of done something and saved this mans life, yet you walked away and did nothing.. Why? These police wont last long.
@austr8lia amen broseph amen, we in usa have been slowly beaten into a police state this could be any 1 us our sons our father our brother our husbands etc we have had our rights and our guns taken from us that were provided us by our founding fathers to revent the exact police state we live in now. you merely have watch any 1 of a million or more americans beaten or arrested etc for peacefully protesting to see it and how disguisting it is. it shouldnt take auzzie to tell us wake the f*&^ upnow
@austr8lia because we are scared of the police here in the states. nobody talks about it because we do not want to believe that we have lost that freedom in the one country that was suppose to be different, the one that things like this would never happen in. it is gone, long gone. we all know how that video would have turned out if anybody went to help him, they wouldve ended up in the same situation, did they want to be martyr's? i guess not. its not just the usa, dont be blind like we were
mr thomas i dont know what to say. this should never happen, it has pissed off so many people that i know for a fact that some very dangerous individuals will be paying these cops a visit..
I don't believe he was offered money. I don't believe he cared about his son. If he did why did he not do something to get him off the street? I think he saw a way at 15 min of fame.
Idiot. The fact here is that these officers were way way out of line. I have seen less cops at a shooting incident because they were afraid they might get shot at. The fact is that these officers need to be drug tested just like baseball players, and I can tell you from working with some police that they might find steroid use in some of these guys. But the fact is the man is dead and the cops were out of line. Murder one.

How's that pig sihit working out for you? Welcome to the fucking real world cop. This is what you thought you knew. They will steal your soul just like all the ones you helped them steal. No sympathy here. Cops are scum.
You too would be fighting for your life if you were being tortured while handcuffed and hogtied. That's what your body does when it goes into survival mode.
The Fullerton cop that killed this man:
Jay P Cicinelli and Trina Cicinelli
13127 Los Alisos Street
I hear Karma is a real f'n bitch, just ask those dead cops up in Oakland.
RIOT kill all they send kill them all, the most violent wars of our time have been religious wars, this is the time. They should die, for what they did. Match the punishment for the crime, There is no other justice in this cause.
He did not ask to become ill. This disease ravages the brain and takes away the ability to make rational choices. I do not not understand why so many people feel that it is ok to mistreat someone because they have a horrible illness and the comments some people are making are just unspeakably cruel and heartless. I hope he finds the peace he could not in life.
@mikeohoh7 how about a stupid ignorant person? I am sure no one asked Kelly Thomas if he wanted to develop schizophrenia and before you judge someone you had better make sure it won't happen to you. How are you going to do that?
@mikeohoh7 Being homeless has absolutely nothing to do with this. The bottom line is that these officers murdered when all they had to do with simply arrest him, put him in hand cuffs. They crossed the line and instead murdered the man. Now, this man could have been ANYBODY. He could have been the son of a wonderful family, living in a nice house, going to college every day, etc. The police don't care. They'd murder either way so long as it makes them feel better.
@mikeohoh7 You must be joking. Everyone has a right to protect themselves. 6+ police officers have no excuse for taking a man's life in this way. He deserved to die as much as you do.
Excerpt from the Friends for Fullerton's Future website: "According to our sources:
Officer Jay Cicinelli was there
Officer Kenton Hampton was there
Officer Manny Ramos was there
Officer Joe Wolfe was there
Officer James Blatney was there
The sixth officer would have been a sargent called to the scene due to the use of a Taser. There are two patrol sargents not reporting for duty at the moment who may have been on duty that night. "
Get a bunch of officers together and you have gang mentality. It' disgusting how six of them with weapons beat this young man TO DEATH. They need to train these guys to know what kind of damage they can do with their hands, flashlights, tasers, stun guns, etc. This was over any REASONABLE force. All of those Fullerton officers should be yanked from the force and prosecuted for manslaughter.
This is why we the people need to demand INDEPENDENT investigations by a board of citizens, and elected officials, but NO COPS and NO EX military JUICED UP GOON SQUADS.
I'm sorry about this sir :( Life was already so hard for him dealing with his issues and mental issues. Poor fella. May he find better life on the other side.
I am in the California Central Valley and am outraged over these stories of brutality. Fresno PD kills someone every week now. I think cops have lost control over this State, and are taking their frustrations out on anyone who creates a problem for them. The system here is absolutely broken, and only getting worse. People are doing nothing to keep our cops, courts or DA's in-line. Most counties in CA have closed jails and laid-off cops allowing criminals to flurish. No justice here.
@alarylll :'( maaaan that makes me so freaking sad man you have no idea. He must've felt he was dying or losing consciousness and just wanted his dad to come help him :'( that's just so freaking painful
@alarylll i cant believe i wont see this guy around my town anymore, im a 6foot 160 white guy and im pissed!! fuck i would have ran up there and done what i could for being the size i am. the true criminal are those who let sin take place before there eye and bat it away to stay in your bubble of comfort, fuck the cops, fuck the coward people who stood around and FUCK the city for being to heartless about the whole thing.
@amazingblur that's not to say it's getting the attention it deserves, this and every case like it should cause a national uproar that would bring up enough awareness to end the abuses
@mytime2shine13 it's unfortunate that it really does come down to that, though considering he's homeless it probably would've been swept under the rug if he didn't have a clean white father who loved him
@mytime2shine13 THIS IS NOT GOING TO GO AWAY. TOO MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE OF ALL COLORS AND AGES, HAVE BEEN VICTIMS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT HARASSMENT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THIS BRINGS ON A BAD FLASHBACK FOR MANY OF US. THE REALLY SICK PART IS THAT NO MATTER HOW INNOCENT YOU ARE, JUST WALKING DOWN THE STREET, THE COPS IN SO. CAL REALLY THINK YOUR GUILTY OF SOME CRIME IN THEIR DELUSIONAL THINKING
@amazingblur The dad used to be a cop, trains cops. Maybe now that they are murdering the children of their own, this topic will get the attention it deserves, I know it is not fair, but really, how often is life so?
@amazingblur not necessarily...in Seattle we had a killing of a homeless man recently, as well (John T. Williams) which caused citizens to stand up against the police department. The US Justice Department is investigating that case.
I think it's ironic that his father taught pigs how to take down people just like they took down his own son. Poetic justice...because there is no justice in this fucking country and never was.
@djherich I think you mean to say that his father taught them how to take people down... These Officers did not take his son down in the same manner he taught while he was an instructor.. Listen to the video, he is stating how the Officers did not follow what he knew and taught to be the correct way to take someone down... His father was out there with the protesters protesting against what they did... Hopefully the position his Father held will influence proper justice here & in the future.
@mikeohoh7 How the fuck are you contributing to society you fucking faggot?
this guy is laying on the floor screaming "dad! dad! dad!" like wtf a grown mans screaming for his father because these pigs are beating the shit out and they dont realize that? heartless..
and fuck you if you reply to this idgaf what you say. your a faggot..

You need to think again.
sammydavisjrsr 4 months ago
Wake up naive, sheltered sheep. This incident is not even the tip of the police-misconduct iceberg. This is the one of a million police crimes which was caught on video/audio and has received international publicity. Hence, the self-righteously indignant, just-for-show pursuit by the self-important prosecutor who is trying to make a name for himself. Normally, killer cops are never even legitimately investigated, much less prosecuted.
PhillyCopsAreCorrupt 5 months ago
Cops are sanctimonious, Constitution-trashing felons who have extreme contempt for both the taxpayers who pay their salaries and the laws which they are paid to uphold. The police are not policed. These dumb macho shit-heads are rarely held accountable for their crimes, hence their propensity to perpetrate them. When you hand a bullied, inept, low-IQ loser a minuscule amount of unregulated power, he will abuse it to the hilt to compensate for his insecurities.
PhillyCopsAreCorrupt 5 months ago 2
Judging by their articulation, logic, syntax, semantics and morphology, police officers and their supporters are usually inarticulate, sub literate, poorly educated, below-average-IQ simpletons. Thus, it is no surprise that they are easily brainwashed into believing that civilians can do no right and cops can do no wrong -- even when they rape, rob or steal. I doubt that most police supporters would be taken seriously by anyone with an IQ above 80 and an education beyond the fourth grade.
PhillyCopsAreCorrupt 5 months ago
Police officers are brainwashed into deifying and glorifying cops whilst dehumanizing civilians and viewing them as criminals and the evil enemy. Thus, even the so-called good cops always support the most evil cops because they believe that cops can do no wrong. Due to a gargantuan lack of answerability in any police force, this us-against-them mindset is perpetually fed at the expense of the law-abiding taxpayers who compensate them, via en masse police crime and other misconduct.
PhillyCopsAreCorrupt 5 months ago
The first duty of law enforcement should be to police their own departments. I think there should be a law created in the name of Kelly Thomas where by if a law enforcement officer is convicted of a serious crime his direct superior should be named as an accessory for allowing an environment where it could happen. Accountability

My heart is broken for the Thomas family.

20alphabet 6 months ago
I find it interesting that if you stand by and do nothing when a crime happens...like say 6 large armed thugs beating a homeless mentally disabled person to death..you can be charged under the "good samaritan law" for not taking action. Yet the "good cops" that stand by and just watch are not even reprimanded. Apparently all of the police have placed themselves above the law. Long past time we change all of that.

Jesus said obey the law of the land for the sake of peace.

djherich 6 months ago
@djherich THESE particular cops DO need to lay down their guns, turn in their badges, and face murder and aggravated assault with deadly force, and other charges.
But not ALL cops, I don't want to live in Mad Max's world, there's too much sand.
The LAST thing anyone needs is gangs and crackheads having free reign to loot and pillage.
But yeah, cops should be held accountable for crimes just like a regular citizen. With the badge should come greater responsibility. This is not ancient Rome.
PainHoarder 6 months ago
I probably sound like a crazy person, so let me clarify. I don't believe ALL cops are bad, in fact I've met several who helped me greatly in times of need, and one cop even decided not to write me a ticket a while back because it was my birthday. Some cops are actually honest, decent people TRYING to make a positive change in society. Not all of them are bad. The problem is that psychos WANT to be authority figures, and so lots of psychos join police and military to oppress others.
PainHoarder 6 months ago
The REAL "War on Terror" will begin when the people of the USA kick out the U.N. and the corrupt "officials" and take back the nation. Don't let them stifle your freedom of speech, don't let them take your religion as a "useless relic that inspires radicals", don't let them take your guns! The founding fathers gave us the right to bear arms specifically to protect against a tyrannical police state which is INEVITABLE when government has too much power.
PainHoarder 6 months ago
The so-called "war on terror" is a lie (obviously). They send our troops overseas to murder foreigners and steal oil. The U.S. military recruits gang-bangers and
psychopaths, who get free training and combat experience, then come back here to terrorize the streets. The police are trained to avoid compassion as weakness, and to assume everyone is guilty until proven innocent.
Cops and gangs are the real terrorists, and the only difference is that cops have badges and political backing.

N1k1mon 6 months ago
is absolutely no reason to simply beat the shit out of somebody with flashlights, knees to the face and head, kicking and stomping, etc.
N1k1mon 6 months ago
"Ive taught police officers for years...arrestive control techniques" This is the one thing I always try to point out, many civilians and uninformed people simply dont realize that Police subduing of a suspect is nothing like a "Brawl", where it takes 3,4,5 or 6 guys to "Beat somebody into submission" They are taught combinations of Judo, Akido, Jiujitsu, Greco Roman Wrestling, etc., These are techniques which use the advantage of leverage, joint control and manipulation, restraint, etc. There

: an arrest made not by a law officer but by any citizen who derives the authority to arrest from the fact of being a citizen
Note: Under common law, a citizen may make an arrest for any felony actually committed, or for a breach of the peace committed in his or her presence.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE .....PERIOD.

Is he a victim of their"homeless policy." or wandering the streets to be the next victim for "resisting arrest"

why was his mentally disturbed son homeless? i know if my son was mentally disturbed he would always have a home.
lucifuehrer 6 months ago
@lucifuehrer It's not as easy as you would think to get a mentally ill person the help they require. They need to recognize they have a problem and get help on their own. You can't make them do it. I've been through this and despite what you may think families often have no choice when it comes to their mentally ill relatives. The laws are on the side of the mentally ill. You can't force them to seek medical assistance , take medication or make them stay at home.
mpk61171 6 months ago
@mpk61171 the laws are on nobody's side.

Why? These police wont last long.
austr8lia 6 months ago 8
@austr8lia amen broseph amen, we in usa have been slowly beaten into a police state this could be any 1 us our sons our father our brother our husbands etc we have had our rights and our guns taken from us that were provided us by our founding fathers to revent the exact police state we live in now. you merely have watch any 1 of a million or more americans beaten or arrested etc for peacefully protesting to see it and how disguisting it is. it shouldnt take auzzie to tell us wake the f*&^ upnow
fishncapt26 6 months ago
@austr8lia because we are scared of the police here in the states. nobody talks about it because we do not want to believe that we have lost that freedom in the one country that was suppose to be different, the one that things like this would never happen in. it is gone, long gone. we all know how that video would have turned out if anybody went to help him, they wouldve ended up in the same situation, did they want to be martyr's? i guess not. its not just the usa, dont be blind like we were

@austr8lia Police carry guns, and these ones were clearly seeing red. No civilian can stop them. It's the structure of our government is a fault.

Murder one.

DJGREENLUNGZ 6 months ago
@mikeohoh7 Being homeless has absolutely nothing to do with this. The bottom line is that these officers murdered when all they had to do with simply arrest him, put him in hand cuffs. They crossed the line and instead murdered the man. Now, this man could have been ANYBODY. He could have been the son of a wonderful family, living in a nice house, going to college every day, etc. The police don't care. They'd murder either way so long as it makes them feel better.
Sallyallie89 7 months ago 2

rhondamaddgirl 7 months ago 2
Get a bunch of officers together and you have gang mentality. It' disgusting how six of them with weapons beat this young man TO DEATH. They need to train these guys to know what kind of damage they can do with their hands, flashlights, tasers, stun guns, etc. This was over any REASONABLE force. All of those Fullerton officers should be yanked from the force and prosecuted for manslaughter.

CAL REALLY THINK YOUR GUILTY OF SOME CRIME IN THEIR DELUSIONAL THINKING

@amazingblur not necessarily...in Seattle we had a killing of a homeless man recently, as well (John T. Williams) which caused citizens to stand up against the police department. The US Justice Department is investigating that case.

I think it's ironic that his father taught pigs how to take down people just like they took down his own son. Poetic justice...because there is no justice in this fucking country and never was.
djherich 7 months ago
@djherich I think you mean to say that his father taught them how to take people down... These Officers did not take his son down in the same manner he taught while he was an instructor.. Listen to the video, he is stating how the Officers did not follow what he knew and taught to be the correct way to take someone down... His father was out there with the protesters protesting against what they did... Hopefully the position his Father held will influence proper justice here & in the future.
