I get the sense that today, i'd be searching for bootlegged copies of 'The Black Pirates of Mars' - because we all know how awesome clampett is when he works with Black characters XD

@LiimLsan The Black Pirates of Mars are NOT the stereotypical minstrel-show blacks of Clampett's work, and based on the accuracy of the name-dropping at the end, I don't think he would have tried to make them so.

What a shame that this was never made. It would have been a classic that film buffs would be still watching today. I just hope that the new movie being made reflects some of the spirit of adventure that was in the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels and doesn't try to be too modern.
