Awsome video, but why ruin it with the TCR time code? There are so many videos on Youtube with this style timecode. I'm convinced many users are adding them on themselves with Adobe Premier or the like. Quite why I'm not sure.
Get Brian Auger's Oblivion Express CD 'Closer To It'. He wasn't closer to it, he absolutely nailed it perfectly. I've played it for years from time to time and I'm still waiting for it to go stale to my ears. Amazing talent.

amazing its like they anticipated all the modern videos with that minimalistic background and buncha female dancers! They invented that whole music video genre it appears.
Holy shit!I love shit like this! That extra Looonng cable to the Hammond is so funny! What a great visual effect. Never heard of this guy before. LOVE IT.
ouah!!! aaargh!!!!! brian auger!!!!! génial! fantastik!!!!modissime!!!! i saw him 5 years ago in a little club in paris it was great!!!!!!!!! il suffit d' ecouter sa version de "higher.." de sly stone démentiel!!!!!!!! et "listen here" alors la c 'est l' apocalypse!!!!! thanks for this great video!!!!
Yes, it's from 1968 (not just the clothes do give it away as such; some filming with later vids is still not gelling as well as some of the instruments point to putting this in the late 1960's) -- but Brian Auger's music was quite ahead of it's time as well!
But the whole vid. is ahead of it's time, although it probably would have been difficult to probably put this on video channels in the 1990's (although maybe not in the 1980's).
hey modifiedcontent i love this song and the video is hilariously awesome but i'm afraid i disagree with you. this might be the MOST 1968 thing i've ever seen! BUT i wonder if it was an influence for the white stripes in their "Seven Nation Army" video.
@modifiedcontent hahaha,i think its funny how you react.the white room the railroad or something for the camera which is uses to show the distance also,is briliant.and i thought better than white stripes video.and up to date because retro is up to date always, the bodysuits are obviosly 1968 havent you seen austin powers?
@modifiedcontent, I agree! The video immediately caught my attention with how modern the filming and editing was. The song is great, too! I only knew of Brian Auger and The Trinity through The Monkees's TV special from 1968, so this was a cool surprize. -- Matt
@modifiedcontent is that a joke??? that's the quintessential aesthetic of 1968! Everything you see in pop, rock, soul and everything related to, all there was to say has been said between 1964 and 1969 being 1967 the peak of it all...
@ghostdog7575 I think her or she is referring to the way it was shot... people think that movie-style production values on music videos didn't come until the 1980s.
@wookie72 anyway... I don't get it... there's just a sequence shot with a dolly, one with the camera on wheels and good montage... this too is tipical of the 60s
it's apples and oranges, besides 'better' is not a very useful term when it comes to musicans ;) comment voting is a smokescreen for hanger-ons anyway. I'd recommend to listen to season of the witch... you might even like it ;)
