What that man has done for MDA is nothing short of miraculous. I only wish that a cure could have been found in the $2+ Billion dollars that has been raised over the years. Is there are cure? It's not the telethon without Jerry. This mind-set tomake it more appealing to a younger more "hip" audience is crazy. Who the heck do they think is sitting home watching anyway? I've been watching for the entire 46 years and the telethon without Jerry is just wrong. The morph tribute is fantastic. Great job!

I'm going to be quite honest with you. I think this whole thing sucks. If Jerry's not going to be on, then I'm not watching the show. They cut the thing down to six hours? Are you kidding? I'll say it again: I think this whole thing sucks!

@PureAirSolutions Jerry will not be appearing on this year's telethon at all. A search of the internet and opening statements of the host(s) on the telethon indicate that he is gone and WILL NOT be back. He will not be singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" - videotaping of Jerry singing was supposed to have taken place last week but the filming was cancelled and not rescheduled.

And the man can sing too! I'm very sad this Labor day weekend because there will be no JERRY singing and doing schtick and just being himself on camera. I don't think that anyone was ever so easily able to be himself on camera. He knew how to f--ck the camera. Does anyone know how to do this today? I think not. I just can't believe MDA would get rid of Jerry. They owe him more than that. I have been loyal to that organization since I was 10 or 11 yrs old going door to door to collect money for this cause. Well they can go straight to hell for this. I'm sorry for all the people that suffer from MD but this is just too much. BTW I loved this video. Thanks for posting.

@MissPickletoes Jerry had announced that he would participate in this years telethon and that he would continue as the national chairman for MDA. This years co-hosts are associated with reality TV shows. During an interview Jerry made some comments that were critical of modern TV broadcasting in general and the shows with which the cohosts are associated. Shortly after the interviw MDA announced that he was no longer associated with the telethon and would not participate in this years broadcast.
