I still have the 45rpm of this I bought in a funny little shop in Douglas IOM in 1976.
ELP had just created a record label called Manticore and this was part of their UK exposure for unknown artistes. I also bought a funny little book but that is another.....tail for another day
@trialmen1 Veramente al violino c'è proprio Pagani, Se intendi come gruppo in generale, credo che Lucio Fabbri sia un grandissimo virtuoso. Ma queste sono finezze per degli amanti della PFM. tutte le formazioni sono unche nel suo momento (io non sono un'amante di Lanzetti) ma è pur sempre il fondatore degli Acqua Fragile e ha fatto parte della Premiata per 3 bellissimi album!!! Bravo Bernardo!
Italian prog tended to cross over a bit more with fusion, often due to the style of their drummers who were heavily influenced by Billy Cobham. The following album, Jet Lag, took them more in a fusion direction. I recall seeing this when it was broadcast and its still awesome to this day. Definitely in the top 10 of all time great prog bands, and personally my favorite!

peccato che Bernardo sia rimasto così poco... ricordo un loro concerto al palasport di Genova con Bernando ma ancora con Pagani, uno degli ultimi suoi concerti insieme al gruppo... probabilmente il migliore della mezza dozzina in cui li ho visti. Grande PFM!

Se il parere della "critica" nn crede che questo sia l'album migliore è un problema suo!!! Bernardo è oggi più che mai il MAESTRO DELLA VOCE e Mauro "PAGANINI" Pagani all'epoca era in piena forma. Che suicidio per la PFM pensare di poter fare a meno di loro!!!
è un organo PARI.. ex orgoglio di casa nostra come gli strumenti EKO, GEM, FARFISA, LOGAN, MONTARBO, DAVOLI, GRS..e tanti altri poco conosciuti perchè la nostra esterofilia ci ha sempre tagliato le gambe.
il davolisynth era una atomica e te lo metto per iscritto perchè per anni ne ho avuto uno... era fantastico e nn passa giorno che nn mi penta di averlo venduto. mi consola sapere che adesso è nel museo personale di un amatore. pensa che era stato fermo per oltre 20 anni ed è bastata una spruzzata si spray ai contatti per farlo ripartire come nuovo.. magari fosse lo stesso con gli strumenti di oggi.
I still have the American release of Chocolate Kings on vinyl. The title song doesn't have the long instrumental part that's here. I wonder if it's on other releases or just part of the live show.
Anyway, many thanks for posting this! It's a real treat for an old fan. They were amazing.

I saw them in Leith Town Hall in Edinburgh many many years ago. They were brilliant, and the loudest band that I have ever heard, before or since.

D'accordo con ontherun 8, quanto ci manca Bernardo.
Con lui una band dal suono nitido e con la musica che scivola via veloce ma rimanendoti impressa.
E poi, Bernando e' stato anche un valido autore.... Penso a " Milano in macchina una sera che piove" per Loredana.
