  • Profo is expensive, really. Elinchrom and Profoto softboxes is enough for me

  • Bohemists if your asking such silly questions then I think you need to start out with a lower brand and then actually "Learn" lighting first.... Its clear you dont know that much yet about lighting gear let alone about lighting in general. Otherwise you wouldnt be asking such silly questions in the first place.

  • profoto

  • You could use a couple 1200 pro-7b generators and heads. They are lots of money though! But awesome. They are the closest you can come to studio outdoors. After that you might have to use gasoline power generators.

  • how is profoto equip compared to other brands?

  • The best!

  • are you sure? I would like to make my own studio... Should I get these or other brands?

  • IMHO I would go for profoto. They are standard equipment at almost any rental house, and they are great. I upgraded last year and haven't looked back...

  • What items from them do you have and what do you recommend as a must have?

  • I have a two head setup w/acute2 and a ring flash + umbrellas and bounce cards and a 6'x4' softbox and stands. I find this is great for 99% of my shots. For anything else I rent.

  • I want to shoot outdoors and on location, what system should I get then? And I want my flashes to be as far from each other as passable. Do you use pocket wizards?
