My 2008 Smart has a crazing polycarbonate roof that replaced the glass. Any of these exposed to the hot sun are all crazing like mad and will eventually fail as the plastic is eaten by the environment and UV/heat from the sun. This is the same Makrolon (Bayer Chemical) polycarbonate plastic the cheap CDs are made from.

As with the glass roof troubles, Smart doesn't want to recall the defective product to replace it with a roof panel that doesn't craze in the sunshine.

2 yr warranty gone.
