  • ahh i want to do this but im afraid of the bright orange part XD

  • it will darken already dark hair like yours though but beware if you have alot of grey

  • my grey white roots turned a pretty green...lol...i had to use country lemonade mix paste to lift it out...it was hell...i even tried the indigo after 2nd henna which helped a little but still green.....luckyly it was on the side part of my hair or i would of been crying,,,,

  • Your hair came out beautifully. I just prepared my Henna for this weekend and can't wait to see the results.

  • @finenfabulouscious send pics when you finish I'd love to see

  • I henned my hair yesterday with Sitarama pure henna copper but it didn't turn red like a copper penny like I hoped. I've got brown hair but allot of chemical dyes on it from the last couple of times I had my hair dyed. I didn't know I was suppose to seal out any air though while the henna was resting. I don't know if it was that the problem or all the chemical dyes on my hair or a combination of both.

Thanks for your very instructive video and you look lovely even without make-up.

  • I love you! ;)

  • ah, i want your hair! I have chemical dye in my hair at the moment, so i'll probably have to wait until it's all grown out, right?

  • are you wearing any pants because it doesnt look like it

  • when do you put hena like every what weeks>

  • @iLOVEthisSHiTT Depends on how quickly your hair grows. Once a month seems to be pretty standard, but since henna is actually good for your hair you can do it as often as you want.

  • how long will it stay in your hair

  • @prici1235 Henna is permanent. The dye molecule bonds with your hair and can only be chemically stripped out, dyed over, or grown out.

  • ok i have brown hair and no grays- im 16- so how much of a difference will i see?

i dont want a lot of color. so should i put it all over my head? i just want to use it as a conditioner and just a little color

  • Have you ever put henna on top of salon dyes? I recently bought some henna from lush and want to put it on but i died my hair with a health food store dye (herbatint) about a week ago. I am just wondering if you think it would react?

  • @kash734 As long as the henna is 100% natural and doesn't contain any heavy metals or chemicals (some of the less honest mixes do) then it is fine. Harvest some hair from your brush, and mix up a small amount of the Lush henna and see how it reacts. If it reacts badly then you've bought bad henna.

  • @TheSnuzzle your hair will also react badly to henna if you have a chemical dye in it. even good, honest henna will do that.

  • @JohnnyGurl13 I don't think thats true. I dyed my hair with body art quality henna over bleached highlights and it was fine. But its not always clear whether the henna is pure henna or not.

  • How long does the henna stay in your hair? I mean, I have like dark blonde hair, is my hair going to be rich red all my life or ? :<

  • its semi perminite. it wil b there for a long long time

  • @Piluttatingeling Henna is permanent. It won't fade out nearly as much as chemical dyes, it will fade a bit but you will see a definite dye line if your hair is lighter, blonde or dirty blonde, and you are growing the dye out. If your hair is a dark blond, you'll probably get an auburn type color more than a rich red. You can get a free sample the website in this video's description, mix it up onto some hair from your hairbrush and see what color it will be.

  • Your hair looks amazing and healthy! I want to dye my hair, but I want to try a natural alternative. My hair is jet black (I'm Asian), but I don't know how it would turn out if I use henna?

  • Use indigo, it will have the same effect, only black. Caution though, indigo smells terrible!

  • maybe. maybe a red highlight in the sun. henna is great to make hair thick and healthy

  • I cannot get indigo in my country. Is there any other product easy to get that I could use to get a darker tone? Someone told me that could be coffee, but I wouldn't know how to use it...Any idea? Thank you for your post!

  • AWESOME color - what's your mix????

  • Who is singing? It's sooooooooooooo good! Thanks for the vid :)

  • what would this look like on naturally brown hair? i have natural blondish highlights but i'm thinking of darkening or richening my hair color for winter

  • Great video, Thanks. My question is: Can I get a light brown color with Henna? How can I do that? if you know something, please let me know, I will appreciate it all all. Thanks.

  • i have no idea if you got a response to that, but you have to mix parts of henna with parts of indigo to get brown stain. Fro darker brown use more indigo. Keep in mind that you should repeat the process often because the indigo falls out easily.

  • wow. you're hair looks sooo good! i really want to try this.

  • hehe with that cap on,purple gloves, and blue shirt u look like a docter, what exactly is henna?

  • henna is a plant, the leaves are the part that is used for dye =) I henna my hair too, though i use a indigo mix so i get more of a black/brown look

  • Henna is a powder made from the henna plant. It's all natural :)

  • Great vid, thanks, but why did you say bye then come back and repeat your self : ?

  • Wow, so far I have viewed about 20 tutorials about how to mix henna and apply it to hair and I think yours have been the most helpful. I plan to do heena for the first time, so thanks for the info.

  • how long do you let it stay in your hair before rinsing it out???

  • Thank you for posting this! Very informative and your hair looks beautiful! I just purchased a sample of henna from the website you linked and am in the process of trying on a sample of hair from my brush. I so want to make the switch to something better for my hair and this video gives me more confidence! :)

  • georgeous hair! would it be a good idea to have my husband help me when i do it the first time??? thanks for you video it helped calm my nerves about wanting to do it but not knowing freakin how lol

  • Thank you! If you could get hubby to help you absolutely do it, it can get really messy heh, but no reason to be nervous, even if you slop it on and make a mess, it cleans up, just cover floors, carpets and cabinetry to protect them :)

  • i am muslim and...when i went to Jordan for vacation, i bought real henna. and i used it and i didnt do black i did red.

then when i went 1 month ago they have hot pink so i got that....

so now my hair is black, and it has pink henna (as highlights)

    its really cool. :)

  • X0juicy0x is there a website i can go to to buy henna that you trust.

  • umm i usually get it done when im in vacationn ;)

    srry thooo.

  • hi,

thank you so much but i want you to add some thing so good to the hair wich is hany so if you can but lettel bet from it to your henna and see the result it will make your hair very nice and shainy>> and sory about my english

thank you so much and i hope you all the best

    mother of naser

    ^_^

  • Hi there, I'm not sure what you are telling me to add "hany" could you perhaps find a link for me and send it through PM?

  • ink they meant Honey. Not sure, but I think that is what they meant for the hany. Great tutorial. I have a question 'tho..how good is Henna for women with a lot of grey in their hair? I am only 35, but 90% grey, thanks to my dad. I am looking for alternatives to using commercial hair dye. Any help is appreciated. Love the hair as well. :)

  • oh now that makes sense. Henna is fab for grey hair, it doesnt bleed out like with regular dye, and after a few days it turns such a gorgeous shade, the more frequently you henna, the deeper the color gets, if you go to the site I mention, hennaforhair they have a whole section about henna for grey hair :)

  • I believe 'tajerah' meant honey?

  • Great 2pt tutorial....i luv mehandi's henna too, have you tried the new one, punjabi prime?

  • no not yet, do you like it?

  • I henna-ed my hair once, but almost puked because of the smell... lol. When you cover it with all the stuff, can you still smell it?? Also, does the conditioning help the smell go away faster? I think I just washed mine with shampoo. Looks great, by the way!

  • I can still smell it yes, but the body art quality stuff I get usually smells of mud and whatever acid I used in it, if I use all apple cider vinegar its nasty, but I found that if I use only 1/2 cup of lemon juice and then fill it out with water it doesnt smell bad at all :). conditioner helps to get the smell out faster yes, thanks so much :)

  • Is that Amel Larrieux singing?

  • I believe so

  • please answer my question! hi! do you know if the henna from a cone can be used to dye hair for that matter? usually i keep a coned henna to make designs on my skin but i was thinking is it possible to use on hair?

  • The henna in the applicator cone is body art quality henna, that is what I use.

  • this may make me sound dumb but.. if you have black hair can you make it blonde like this?with henna?

cause my situation is i want a few chunks of my hair almost platinum blonde.

ive been trying desperately to find an easy cheap way to make it that way.

  • henna can only darken your hair, turn it a deep reddish brown, you can add indigo to blacken and add depths of blue but you cannot lighten your hair with it.

  • ok thanks

    sorry to bother you

  • good job....: )

but I would like to know if henna for hair is permanent or not??? answer me kisses : )

  • yes it has to grow out.

  • nice video! i have a henna plant in my garden. i want to use its leaves, can i use them fresh or is it best to dry them first?

  • the henna I use is dried and in powder form, I wouldnt know for certain what type of henna plant you have and if it would work or not.

  • thanks! btw, you look nice even without make-up. :)

  • oh thank you :)

  • i wana dye my hair red could i do tat w/ henna and how bright of a red could i get w/ henna and would it dammage my hair

  • the color you get depends on the color of your natural hair, if you read at the link I gave then you will learn far more about that.

  • ok..Actually how long can the henna colour last? or how long u henna henna hair?

  • authentic henna is permanent. it fades a little bit, but nowhere near as much as a conventional hairdye will. as for how long you leave it in, a minimum of two hours is best, but the longer the better.

sorry, i sort of hijacked your comments. i henna my hair once a month.

  • haha..thx for d info..btw y u nvr post ur video hennaing ur hair ?lolz..

  • is there black henna?? for your body so its like a real tatoo only its fake because its henna??

i want to get a tatoo but I want to see how it looks on me without having it permanent

  • if you google black henna you are taken to the henna page and its info on ppd, a pretty dangerous chemical that is used to make 'black henna' I hope that helps

  • thank for posting..but cant really see when u were applying the henna..Can u show the applying part nex time when u hena ur hair?

  • I'll try to remember to film from a better angle next time I henna :)

  • im so glad you posted this. thanks!!!!

  • I'm glad you liked it, thank you :)

  • wow. thats awsome.

  • thank you :)

  • thank you :)

  • I love this. Awesome Kathy. I really want to do this now. Its gorgeous and not bad for the hair. I am beginning to get quite the gray in my hair and didn't want to use any kind of chemicals. Thank YOU!

  • Thank YOU!!! it works wonders on the gray and wont bleed out, it stains them like dark red threads so you wind up with such lovely high and low lights :) let me know if you decide to do this.

  • I know this is totally random, but you are very beautiful;;and I love your hair it looks very healthy and well kept :)

  • Thank you so much, thats very kind of you :)

  • wow that is so cool! I love the red streaks in your hair!
