Russians are individually the best, but they don't stand a chance against the Canadian team, and this year's olympics proved it. Russians had 4 of 5 best players of the moment (Ovechkin, Datsyuk, Kovalchuk and Malkin) though Canadians had too many good players and the big difference between Canada and Russia is that Russians have amazing skills at sniping and making original puck handlings while Canadians work together as a team and score unbelievable goals from a huge load of precise passes.

no Kovalev so it sucks. Kovalev has some sick moves too. He led the first place team in the east. The only reason why he didn't get the cup was because his team was too young. Kovalev is Russia's team captain.

Kovalev just lacks in consistancy. This is pretty sad, because he'd be in front of any list if he just stood like he could on every night, no exageration.

People go crazy about Ovechkin because they just didn't saw Kovalev on a "AK27 day" yet. He still got what? 14 or 16 points in 7 games.
