  • Cryengine2>Cryengine 3. Sorry you console kids, but engines build(primarily) for a PC, will ALWAYS look, sound, play ALOT better than a console.(Plus we have mods :D)

  • Super Fail @ 8:59

  • crytek knew that the PC was way to good than consoles, and they would have remained PC exclusive if the sales were high.

  • Such an amazing success story.

  • Crysis is such an underrated gem. People who haven't played it think it's just eye-candy and shallow. Wrong, it's one of the best and most original shooters of the last decade.

  • @Lunarvx22 So true.

  • @haters123 I've seen you on both these videos. Please fuck off.

  • Piracy is serious business!1111

  • Crytek why do you still have a producer sell your own game you diverse it. EA MAY ROT IN HELL.

  • @m14g agreed I hate EA. They just own a lot of cool games. FFFFFUUUUUUUUU

  • @happycamperable hahaha so true dude... Shame isn't it.

  • This guy fails to talk about WHY crysis was used as a benchmark of choice. The visual quality was only half of the reason, the other was it's poor optimizations. Because the engine delivered great visuals, albiet poorly optimized, a system could be more easily rated without run away numbers,

  • dude just wait til they make the next timesplitters with the tech at crytek, it will be amazing

  • Crysis was so buggy when it first came out. Invisible walls, bad AI, they missed that part on the video.

  • A lot of people call them sell-outs for going over to the console, but they would have died out if they hadn't

  • Make a new Timesplitters Crytek

  • i didnt know they saved free radical!

    impressive for 3 brothers....

  • crysis still look 10 times better than cod.

  • Console WARS!!!!

  • @Need4speedkiller Not to mention driver issues from both the nvidia and amd crowds, the fact that it can only effectively use a single GPU in AMD setups and two CPUs in a multicore setup, and that originally it could only utilize 2 GB of ram, and finally the absurd amount of time it has taken them to release the developer tools for the modding community. Skyrim is a complete mess on PC. It and RAGE are true indicators that Bethesda couldn't care less about PC.

  • @jvdthwip Rage isn't a Beth game.

    How is two months absurd.

They patched it to use 4GB.

  • @Axeldeath0 id was acquired by Zenimax and published under Bethesda. With publishers come deadlines, and Rage, in development for years even before the purchase, was probably restricted to a launch date.

Also, the Morrowind contruction set shipped with the game, and the Oblivion construction set was released simultaneously as well.

  • @jvdthwip Beth had nothing to do with Rage. Zenimax were the real publishers, Beth's name just sells well.

And it's 2 months for something that games never even get any more, why the complaining for something that they're giving away for free? That could potentially harm DLC sales on PC?

  • The complaints from the PC crowd wasn't that it was multi-platform, it was that it was a rushed port that didn't allow for customizable graphics options (standard for PC games) and it lacked DX 11 support. It took about a month for a patch to come out that fixed these issues.

  • cooool

  • Time Splitters is the best arcade-ish FPS ever.

  • all blame to the pirateers, roflcopter

  • One day this will show up on my homepage. Someday......

  • OMFG ROBOT VOICE AT 11:44

  • "Pushing the limits of consoles and pc rigs."

Mmhmm, bullshit it did, when crysis came out 2 8800 GTX's in SLI the most powerful Graphics card when crysis was released couldn't max the game out in 1080p.

A Single 6770, no wait, a 5770 could max this game at 1080p.

I'd rather have a cryengine game reach for the stars rather than be tethered to the moon by outdated consoles.

Things should not be crippled by ambition, rather they should go further than their ambitions.

  • Would have bought/preordered Crysis 2 on launch if it had actually looked and felt like a PC game. I ried it out though and it felt like it was heavily geared toward consoles, so now I just wait for it to come to steam and buy it once it's on sale. It's sad that the first Crysis actually still looks better than C2, even with the upgraded graphics. Hope they make the next Crysis once again in a lush jungle environment and actually give the PC gamers something that's worth the full price.

  • TIME SPLATTERS FTW

  • I pirated crysis, but I loved so much that I bought it few months later.

  • @GamersICE you sir are doing piracy right.

  • @LimitlessB0Xstudios just like it ment to be from the start.

  • :fuckyea: Piracy FTW

  • i hear music but no narration? wtf

  • awesome, because of fucking retards who pirate games, we, pc gamers that pay for the games, suffer. its fucking pathetic!

  • The story of Crytek... Open studio Open studio Open studio Open studio Open studio Open studio Open studio Open studio Open studio
  • Well there you go PC fanboys. That's why Developers like consoles, PIRACY ISN'T AN ISSUE.

  • @TheYamsinacan lol piracy works for consoles aswell.

  • @TheTTEETTRRIISS Yeah until Sony and Microsoft find your ass with those pirate games

  • @BattlefieldJoe97 Thats an invalid argument, since they can find pirates on pcs aswell, its just not as easy. And saying it does not exist because over time you can get banned or lose all your games and such, is just stupid, as it still stays pirated, the damage is done.

  • @TheTTEETTRRIISS pc is easier consoles arent

  • @flameheat1000 acctualy, its harder to find a cracked game on a pc in comparision to a console.

  • they should do a one or two episode All Your History Are Belong To Us on Minecraft. It would be sorta neat. :/

  • who cares if you have a pc or a console? a game is a fucking game. you play to enjoy it.

  • Problem with Crysis 2 is that AI is stupid and retarded

  • all your history: THQ

  • Do one for the Total War series.

  • @shadowliss1 he did, its under the creative assembly

  • @shadowliss1 they did already

  • @shadowliss1 its done

  • tahahaha

  • I'm only here on YouTube because Origin is shit and doesn't let me log in to play BF3 B2K -.-*

  • I HAAAATTTTEEEE YOU EA

  • Y U NO IN HD!!!

  • i remember playing FarCry when it barely came out,the graphics were way more advanced than anything seen yet... surprisingly easy to play with my keyboard none the less

  • Whats with all the rage wars, i mean i'm a PC fanboy, and a Crysis fanboy, but there is no need to be a dick about it. there is nothing wrong with consoles other than that they need to make new ones. having a lower budget doesnt make you any less of a gamer, you just have to use what you can afford. and consoles make it cheap to play games.

  • Lets be honest.

    Far cry was good.

Crysis had fucking amazing graphics that made me cry and still does, but the campaign wasnt that good and multiplayer was shit.

Crysis 2 had good graphics, but nothing to be really impressed. The campaign was way too linear and multiplayer was a cod clone.

My favorite is crysis for the mods and costum campaigns

  • Crysis is infinitely better than Crysis 2.

  • All your history: Kojima productions.

  • ALL YOUR HISTORY METAL GEAR

  • All Your History: Smilebit Games... I miss Jet Set Radio

  • CryEngine 4 will be groundbreaking.

  • @lestatv3 Bricks shall be shat.

  • 2k

  • This have the same name as the first one

  • I hope he explains and talks about how and why they bought Free Radical.

  • @JackIsASpy

He did. Free Radical was going bankrupt, so Crytek decided to aqquire them since they had experience in the FPS genre that made Goldeneye and other shooters like Timesplitters.

  • Its kind of weird how the pc guys were mad at them making it multiplatform when they made them do it.

  • @sepnot Not every PC gamer ( such as myself) don't pirate games. It's not our fault just because some cheap assholes don't buy games. Only reason people say PC gaming is dieing is because of them.

  • @sepnot how did they "made them do it"? Valve is the best example of a company who did it the right way. They create content which contains what gamers expect..and beyond. They are aware of their pc-market and don't overprize their products. But when you look at companies which port their games with a minimal amount of effort then you will see where this hate of pc-gamers is coming from. Sure, some will still pirate it if it is quality content. But this doesn't ruin anything.

  • @sepnot Piracy is very apparent on console as well, so it's not just pc.

  • I think they have to change the video title...

  • "The sales to Piracy ratio is 15 to 20."

WHAT?! Doesn't anyone fact check anymore?

Okay, so Cavet Yerli said so. Shame on you, guys. Sensationalism is not the way..

  • @Track607 He said that for Crysis it was 1 to 15 or 20.

  • @APooOnAStick And Capcom and Ubisoft claim that 99% of their games are pirated.

I expect more from 'All Your History' than you believe such waste.

  • @Track607 Nowadays, about 97-99% of all digital media in households is pirated. 1:20 is pretty low by that average.

Also, this guy obviously did research to find the quote, so he is right, even if the figures aren't.

  • @APooOnAStick Let me put it this way - Modern Warfare 3 just passed the 1$ billion mark in game sales.

According to you, around 500 million to 1.5 billion people pirated the game.

That was certainly worthy of the laugh it gave me.

  • @Track607 Different media will be pirated differenty. For a game like Crysis (which is what we were talking about, not COD), which required many people to upgrade their platforms, 90% piracy is realistic, considering that four years ago, game piracy alone was at 73%, and we then factor in the increase in pirated copies for those who paid for the PC upgrades and didn't want to pay for the game as well.

  • @APooOnAStick You're trying to add logic to fiction. Saying that 73% of digital content was pirated 4 years ago and 90% is pirated today is not only extraordinarily ridiculous to an absurd extent, but it is only 100% made-up. It's a completely fabricated statistic that only the most foolish would believe and stand up for, since they have absolutely no idea what it is based on or where they got that information.

Please, either save the bullshit for yourself or stop making yourself look crazy.

  • @Track607 You know what, I no longer care. You believe what you want to believe, I'm bored of this pointless argument.

  • @APooOnAStick Said the man with nothing to say.

  • All Your History: Insomniac

  • All Your History: Epic Games

  • 13 computers can't run crysis

  • Thanks pc gamers for forcing them to consoles.

    Piracy sure is a bitch.

  • i fucking love all your history

  • Comment removed

  • Part 1: Cryating worlds. Part 2:Cryating worlds.

  • I hear there going to be Timesplitters 4 could be revealed for the next Xbox home console at E3 2012. Better keep in eye out on it.

  • the consoles couldn't run the cryengine 2, lulz

  • PC destroys Console, GOML kids.

  • where did the DICE upload go?

  • Squaresoft history...

  • 720p HD please! It's almost 2012

  • @digitalintent they cant afford it, they are using a istone to record this

  • @quangluu96 Wouldn't doubt it. Even at the lowest window size it looks like everything was recorded with a phone.

Understanding proper video compression would probably make a huge difference too. I've seen 240p videos that have just as much video info as these.

  • @digitalintent They are using old clips of games sometimes made in the 1990 if they where to convert theses to HD it would only make the quality worse. it's not like you are watching anything anyways its just a few clips of games while a guy talks so stop moaning.

  • @P17Production Most of these "old clips" can be found easily at 640 and 1024 resolutions, and some of them are actually taken from emulators that easily display higher resolutions than that. Hell I have demo videos taken from games in the early 90's that are better resolution.

Just a few clips while some guy talks? It's a video site, in the second decade of the millennium. It's not the fucking radio.

I will stop moaning when people like you stop putting up with mediocrity.

  • @digitalintent HD hardly makes a differences to this video anyways, what do you achieve by having this in HD and few videos of games that have been out for years anyways, its not like it's a new release, so you really come to this video to watch HD clips of crysis 1 and 2 or do you come here to learn about the history of crytek, Get over it...its only a bit of resolution it's not like the video is unwatchable in 360p, it's the same as SD channels on the TV.

  • @P17Production "...same as SD channels on the TV." Thanks for proving your ignorance.

I come to learn about all games. There are many older games shown on here that I never played. They could easily benefit from higher res. Even 480 would make a world of difference. Instead, they show clips with horrible compression and an even lower than standard resolution.

"Get over it." You responded to my simple comment. Next time I will take your feelings into consideration.

  • Fuck you console kids. PC is win.

  • @haters123 to be fair I'm a "kid" to but you're so right PC is the best thing to game on :D

  • @haters123 ok pc's rock but computers are really fucking expensive to keep updated and games on pcs are really unstable based on the computer while on consoles it is a standard so the games would be more stable.

  • @haters123 don't break the gaming community like that fellow pc gamer

  • @haters123 i only own a ps3 and i agree with you %100 about these ignorant little kids. if only i had cash...

  • @haters123

    As if.

  • @haters123 I'm a multi-platforming gamer. I own a 360, a PS3 and a PC. I don't feel like caring a massive tower around with me so I use my laptop for gaming. It's not the greatest, but it's doable. In my years of playing online in both PC and console, the best community I have seen in the 360 for whatever reason. PS3 is filled with douchebags. PC is filled with "hardcore gaming" assholes, the 360...The worst you'll get is a rage quitter and a ten year old.

  • @haters123 PC can be more easily modded and shit. But I do quite like alot of console games. I would say that console and PC are equal in my eyes, but PC gets the edge simply because: I. FUCKING. LOVE. MODS.

  • @haters123 Fuck you fanboy. Consoles, handhelds and PC win together

  • @chaosblast100 So... webgame and mobile gaming lose?

  • @aquapendulum Crap i forgot that too D: The point is every console hand held mobile gaming and webgames are just for fun something that most people look over and judge games by their graphics

  • @chaosblast100 Yeah but PC wins more.

  • @chaosblast100

AHHH thanks! for speaking the truth we all win together

  • @L6RD7BLU3 thanks for taking the time for looking for my comment which is buried under the heap of comments :D

  • @haters123 Right, it's very childish that someone with a fucking job wants to spend $300 dollars instead of $1500 on a device to play games with. I'm a PC gamer, and you still sound more like a kid than anyone else.

  • @haters123 actually consoles win. So sad beacuse I'm a pc gamer and 90% of all games come out for consoles and those that come to pc are console ports. The only real game that came out for pc is Witcher 2.

RESPECT TO CD Projekt RED the company who made it

  • @babis8142 Battlefield 3 was made first and for most for PC. -_- That was one of the biggest games of 2011. -_-

  • @happycamperable Wrong, DICE themselfs have admitted that they moved their attention to consoles mid-devolopment.

  • @babis8142 The Commadore 64 remake wins

  • @haters123 you idiot are is...

no sereously your comment is illogical.

  • Scumbag PC Gamers

    > Pirate a game and completely ruin potential sales

    > Complain when devs make their next title multi-platform

  • @MrSolomobl I don't care about multiplatform. I care that Crysis 2 was terrible aside from graphics.

  • @MrSolomobl Yes, everyone pirated Crysis, it had 0 sales on launch, it was such a sad day for humanity.

  • @DarkFirze if they had a demo or a benchmark or someway for people to know what they are buying then it would not have been as pirated as much

  • I play games, not platforms

  • 09:15 - yeah tats because all us PC users realised that Crysis 2 was beautifuly optimised for console, but not PC, so pirated it :P

  • lol black sea studios Sofia Bulgaria i live there

  • Crytek... TimeSplitters 4? Please? :<

  • @GamesAreWin Amen to that

  • Lot of upset PC fanboys on here who only want to trash a game like Crysis 2 just because it was made for consoles as well as PC. I have all 3 Crysis games on PC and you don't hear me bitching. You won't find a better looking game on console. Not even BF3 can compare.

  • @sillysprat Some of the reason for the complaint for the multiplatform release is that they have to scale down the engine and textures..

  • @2mp2Studios But that argument is moot when you run the game on Ultra. The videos I've seen of the game on Ultra in DX11 are nothing short of stunning. Too bad my PC can't run it that high. :(

  • @sillysprat Yes, I know the graphics are great (seen them myself) But if they only focused on the computer the graphics could be better as well as the optimization.

  • What they don't tell you is that not everyone who pirates the game would've bought it otherwise, some people pirate games just to play them once. That's maybe a rental, and rents don't earn much money for the developer. Also, people often pirate games just because they can, doesn't mean they would buy them if they couldn't pirate them.

  • WHY 360P only? you are doing the games such injustice.

  • crysis made intel, amd and nvidia a shit load of cash....

  • Cryating Worlds i see wat they did there

  • do mojang studios.

  • Bullox, shove your head deeper up your ass why don't you crytek? There is no way 1 to 15 is a number you can back up with data since it´s close to impossible to measure how much a game get pirated T.T"

  • All your history insomniac

  • OMG I meet Realtime Immersive at I/ITSEC and played with some simulators! ps I'm only 16

  • Crysis and the other stuff is very nice and all but... when will I get my new Timesplitters game?

  • An in-law of mine worked on Homefront. I have no idea what he did, but I hated to hear when they closed that studio.

  • All your history Breath OF Fire

  • Crysis 2 released with DX9 only and a lot of bugs. Terrible game and I regret pre-ordering it. MoH 2010 was better.

  • Piracy sschmiracy. You can't get accurate figures.

  • It's almost 2012, you can start uploading videos in HD, really.

  • 8:52 and tf2...

  • fix you shit youtube, this again didnt show in my subscription box

  • bullfrog next!!

  • now im going to try to actaully try sign in once more in crysis 2 (dbt i will succed)

  • Far Cry was good :D

  • Honestly, as a longtime PC gamer, if studios want to make games for both PC and consoles, more power too them.

But--and this is a BIG but--when studios make games for consoles at the expense of the PC (I'm looking at you and your broken matchmaking, Modern Warfare...), THEN I have a problem.

I speak for many of my PC gaming friends when I say that we have no problem with multi-platform releases. All we ask is for our platform to be planned for like any other and not feel like an afterthought.

  • Do an All Your History on 4A Games for Metro: Last Light

  • They may still be privately owned, but does anyone think of Crytek nowadays as 'indie'?

  • Do free radical for all your history. The star wars battlefront 3 game they were making looked awesome and people have probably forgot that they were making it.

  • I hope they do kojima productions soon

  • Crysis is by far my favorite game every made. It has everthing mostly, cutting edge graphics, amazing gameplay, wonderful sound, an intresting multiplayer, a magnificent story, and it never gets old. Why and bastard would pirate it is beyond me. Pirating games like that is bad cause your killing the PC by just not spending $20 on the game (I know it was $60 when it was released but still thats a good price for what your getting)

  • @Blakluma It's because of SecuROM, a DRM that only allows you to install the game up to 5 machines.

  • ...even new layout and subscribed to All Your History

It is still not show in my sub box...

  • What the video didn't mention is that Crysis (1) sold 3 million on the pc alone. And Crysis 2 sold 3 million on 3 platforms.

So... piracy? More like shitty console game.

  • @MrBoBoTom

Not to mention Warhead sold 1.5 million units.

  • @MrBoBoTom Crysis 2 was a huge disappointment, but if it wasn't for those idiot people not buying games, Crysis 2 would have stayed on the PC for the PC gamers, making it a good game.
