This is not even about being a Kapuso or a Kapamilya. This is about respecting the due process & the legal way of convicting someone of a crime. W/ all these presentation of possible evidences and interviews of possible witnesses conducted by ABS, it seems to me that they are running their own Supreme Court. ABS is stepping over their bounds and has crossed the line of media etiquette. They should be sensitive on this matter kasi TV media din sila and they dont want this being done to them also.

Alam mo, I really appreciate the efforts of these two networks in helping and reaching out to Filipinos every time may crisis sa bansa natin. Palaging nag-uunahan 'yang GMA at ABS sa pagtulong sa mga kababayan natin pag may baha o bagyo o lindol o bomba. Marami na rin silang nai-ahon na mga mahihirap na pinoy. Obviously they both want to serve the public. It's really sad for me to see this happening to both stations. Sana naisip man lang ng ABS na kapwa nya ring TV network ang GMA.
I am not saying na kung may cheating man ay dapat na lang e-tolerate. What I'm trying to say is, baka naman pwede nilang ayusin ang allegations na iyan without crippling each other on air. Kung sa tingin ng ABS nandaya ang GMA sa ratings, pwes ipasa korte na lang and let the court make hatol sa pandaraya ng GMA. At kung mali man ang bintang ng ABS, at least walang nasiraan na reputasyon. Sa lagay na ito, even if GMA proves itself innocent, malaki na ang damage na nagawa ng ABS.

If a member of my family can attest and has evidence to prove the allegations that GMA cheated, then I would advice my family to speak out IN COURT, because that is where their testimonies and evidences can be accounted for to charge GMA guilty of the crime, otherwise kung sa TV lang, it would not legally charge GMA of anything. ABS CBN were abusing their power for their personal benefits, if GMA7 indeed had cheat why don't they do it in the court, they filed the case against AGB but had it dismissed. ABS is facing now several complaints. DTI sued ABS about GAME CHEAT, AGB and GMA7 sued them too. I don't respect ABS now.

Actually lumabas na sa findings ng AGB, with evidence, that ABS did have bribery activities sa mga panel homes at ipinapasa-korte na lang 'yon. AGB's findings also show that GMA did have contact with several panel homes, but made it clear that the contact was part of a legitimate and approved promotional activities, NOT BRIBERY. Kung sira man ang reputation ng GMA ngayon, ay dahil sa gawang paninira ng ABS through trial by publicity.

As I've said, if GMA cheated, they should be punished. I'm not being biased at all. JUST BEING FAIR. Kung may pumatay sa nanay ko, ay talagang dadalhin ko sila sa korte para ma-silya electrika. But I will not take the law in my own hands. Ikaw? Pag may pumatay sa nanay mo, anong gagawin mo? Let me guess. You will not bother with the court and would just kill that person with your own hands. Alam mo, I really appreciate the efforts of these two networks in helping and reaching out to Filipinos every time may crisis sa bansa natin. Palaging nag-uunahan 'yang GMA at ABS sa pagtulong sa mga kababayan natin pag may baha o bagyo o lindol o bomba. Marami na rin silang nai-ahon na mga mahihirap na pinoy. Obviously they both want to serve the public. It's really sad for me to see this happening to both stations. Sana naisip man lang ng ABS na kapwa nya ring TV network ang GMA.

I am not saying na kung may cheating man ay dapat na lang e-tolerate. What I'm trying to say is, baka naman pwede nilang ayusin ang allegations na iyan without crippling each other on air. Kung sa tingin ng ABS nandaya ang GMA sa ratings, pwes ipasa korte na lang and let the court make hatol sa pandaraya ng GMA. At kung mali man ang bintang ng ABS, at least walang nasiraan na reputasyon. Sa lagay na ito, even if GMA proves itself innocent, malaki na ang damage na nagawa ng ABS.

If a member of my family can attest and has evidence to prove the allegations that GMA cheated, then I would advice my family to speak out IN COURT, because that is where their testimonies and evidences can be accounted for to charge GMA guilty of the crime, otherwise kung sa TV lang, it would not legally charge GMA of anything. Ikaw ba papayag na ma-charge at makulong for rape dahil may nagsabi lang sa TV na ginawa mo 'yon at di ka man lang bibigyan ng chance na mabusisi 'yong tao na 'yon?

pare, I tell you, kahit isang milyong witnesses pa ang interviewhin ng ABS, kung di nila ma prove 'yan sa korte, GMA will not be guilty of the allegations. Ang malaking question is, if ABS claims they have all these legitimate witnesses, bakit di nila dalhin sa korte para naman ma cross-examine? Siempre sa interview nila, walang chance ang GMA or ang court to ask questions sa mga witnesses nila di ba? So again, ABS is playing their dirty game of TRIAL BY PUBLICITY. Paninira =)

ABS CBN were abusing their power for their personal benefits, if GMA7 indeed had cheat why don't they do it in the court, they filed the case against AGB but had it dismissed. ABS is facing now several complaints. DTI sued ABS about GAME CHEAT, AGB and GMA7 sued them too. I don't respect ABS now.

Yes. However, the ratings in Bacolod will most likely be useful for the Bacolod station. Local and national advertisers will then have to rely to on the (skewed?) ratings in order to choose which station to advertise. On ONE side, I think the underlying issue boils down to "money".

The thing is. It is valid for ABS-CBN to file a complaint if they really think that there is tampering going on. But in fairness to GMA, ABS-CBN should NOT be releasing premature statements that can mislead the viewers to believe that GMA indeed cheated, for it is not proven yet. That is irresponsible newscasting and abuse of the media.

Which is exactly what ABS-CBN is doing, which caused me to doubt if it's really GMA behind this fiasco. ABS-CBN prematurely accused GMA of cheating, without even giving them a fair trial. They also filed a lawsuit against AGB prematurely, not even giving AGB a chance to investigate the matter. Even if GMA turns out innocent in the end, ABS-CBN has already done some major damage to GMA's reputation, and that is, what I believe, their intention.

Interesting. I'm not from Bacolod; that leaves me a little less room for finding out myself the facts of the case. I could be wrong with what I know. I get my info from, well, ABS-CBN and GMA reports. Anyone can easily distort and bend facts, especially media titans.
Much of the network giants are becoming less and less worthy of the trust of the Filipinos these days.

What I meant with speak out, is for u to contact ABS-CBN and be their witness if u have hard evidence of the cheating. Otherwise, it would just be hearsay. I was just in Bacolod for the holidays. And yes, I noticed that a lot of people there are kapamilyas. So what? People there still watch Marimar, La Vendetta & Kamandag even if they're kapamilyas. So there is still appeal to GMA. How much more if they had better signal.

Bago p man ito nauna ng naglabas ang korte na umaayon sa GMA 7 and desisyon ngunit para hinid maging unfair tulad ng pinalalabas ng ABs nag inhibit na lang ang judge. GMA ang nagsampa ng kasong libelo at hindi nangangahulugan na kapag nanalo ang abs cbn sa depend nila, ay katotohanan ang kanilang pinagsasabi...ANG TANGI NILANG RASON PARA MA DENIED ANG KASO IS FREEDOM OF THE PRESS.Wala pa mang desisyon ang korte sa kaso ng GMA at ABS nauna ng ibinasura ng korte ang kasong isinampa ng ABS sa AGB so nangangahulugan lamang na walang katotohanan ang pinalalabas ng ABS.

In more recent times, GMA made it clear that they are merely "defending" their side as they see fit. ABS-CBN, on the other hand, is arguing that they have to fight for the "truth" and give the people the information that is due.
The battle of the network titans, it seems, is far from over.

What are you talking about? All that I am saying is, they should not throw judgement to GMA on something that has not been proven in court yet for that is premature information. You speak of reversing the situation, what if it was the other way around and ABS was the one being accused of cheating and GMA has been releasing news prematurely when the allegations have not yet been proven.

Actually lumabas na sa findings ng AGB, with evidence, that ABS did have bribery activities sa mga panel homes at ipinapasa-korte na lang 'yon. AGB's findings also show that GMA did have contact with several panel homes, but made it clear that the contact was part of a legitimate and approved promotional activities, NOT BRIBERY. Kung sira man ang reputation ng GMA ngayon, ay dahil sa gawang paninira ng ABS through trial by publicity.

They don't have any proof that those people actually worked for GMA. They could be mercinaries hired by who knows (probably ABS). Ang loser ay ikaw. It's not even about kung sino ang nagpapa-uto. It's about giving everyone a fair try in court instead of condemning someone on TV. Tama ba for ABS to conduct these interviews on TV w/ their witnesses making statements against GMA that could damage GMA's reputation? And not give GMA a chance to even cross-examine their witnesses? Tama ba 'yon? This is not some trivial chismis about a showbiz personality, this is a serious matter about a network's public image. It is unethical for ABS to do this.
