i think other people don't like it because they were wanting something like the metroid prime series but as you can see the game name is not metroid prime other m and I think they try to make the game like the old games. and i don't think it looks great or bad still will be a very enjoyable game.

Graphics really mean little any more. They were big when the switch from 2D to #D happend and games looked blocky, and werid shapped. But after PS2, 360, and GC they got clean.

Now there just there to please graphic whores who need to greatest graphics ever for there online FPS.

I could care less if its COD 5 graphics, or Mario 64 graphics any more. Gamplay is all that counts to me.

I dont see why anyone would want a PS3 when the PS2 is cheaper and has ten times better games that are still coming out.Games can have good graphics and still suck, but if they have good gameplay it does not matter. Thats why Castlevania, a 2D game is still in 2D. Thats what its best in graphics dont matter. Same with Pokemon and even some Mario. There all top sellers.

@JeffreyArnoldo well it's metroid. there were some of the same monsters from super metroid in this, but that really doesn't bother me. kinda like in most mario games(that i've played), you end up fighting goombas and turtles. this can be said of most games like these

what i love about the gameplay is that you can finally really feel like you're samus and be jumping and dodging around the enemies. once you get the feel of it, it plays pretty flawless.

@JeffreyArnoldo actually i take that back. it doesn't play flawless. good, but not flawless. i don't always like the fixed camera. when an enemy goes behind you off the screen, you can't flip the view around and at some points that got annoying. also, i don't like that you have to be in first person mode to fire missiles.

those are my only two real complaints about that game. other than that, i love it

Also, Metroid Other M takes place between Super Metroid & Metroid Fusion. I've recently been playing Fusion that's why I know all of this. Samus mentions some things related to this new game and Super Metroid.

My take:

I love how they have put in elements from Super Metroid and the past 2D Metroid Games [which I believe is the way Metroid should be, don't vote me down just for that], however I don't like the direction that this is taking. The game seems as if it is being more action-driven than anything else and reminds me somewhat of that extra-mission in that tekken game (I can't remember it, all I remember is "CHICKEN!").
