  • This song is so amazing...maybe I'm over thinking this, but the song reminds me of my view of the world now. The majority of the song is, to me, off putting, chaotic, scary, paranoid, representing how the world is today with all of the wars, religion, pointless killing and the confusion. It goes on and on. But sometimes I like to imagine and daydream of a better life in my head, one without the real ones' flaws, just to get away from it all. The guitar at the end helps me with this, so much..

  • Absolutely mesmerizing. Total derealization and depersonalization. I'm lost in time and place.

  • Man, I miss the ambient pieces Varg used to make... :(

  • this is dark folk if thats a genre

  • The little acoustic part at the end is a perfect way to end this album, I nearly shed a tear.

  • Ritual music

  • im really liking this.... sounds tribal? not sure what the right word is... but its good stuff.

  • who cares if its not...Its still very creepy sounding...so fuckoff!

  • HomemadeBlackMetal...yummy!

  • True Black Metal in the kitchen!

  • I love this song alot but I was just wondering...what genre is it?

  • First of all, this is one song, not the entire album. This particular track isn't really black metal, but it's still good muic for me. Listen to other tracks off this same album and they are very much black metal.

Second, if you think that 100% of the music produced by Varg as Burzum is black metal you are obviously not very familiar with Burzum. An entire 2 albums that he made while in prison were dark ambient (kinda like this) and not black metal at all. This album as a whole is black metal.

  • @noahballs This album isn't black metal at all. Neither was Belus. Varg Vikernes has stated multiple times that he doesn't want anything to do with black metal. Have a look at the library on the official burzum website.

  • @STimmortaI He may not be involved or interested with the black metal scene anymore, but the music is definitively black metal. If you have listened to Belus and Fallen and say that they are not black metal at all you seriously must not know what black metal is.

  • 3 ppl are christians, haha!!!

  • @MarkTheBerserker shut up idiot

  • @MarkTheBerserker

nope, cretino, they just say this is shit

  • Hmm...Burzum is back, but it's not black metal. I'm surprised someone could make such a shift in music style.

  • @Doodorz You don't know what Black Metal is then if you have a certain made preset for "Black Metal"..

  • @visiteur00000 This isn't black metal you fucking moron.

  • @Doodorz Black Metal is a concept and has no preset.

Why are you calling me names? Are you frustrated about something?

  • @Doodorz To Scary souding for you ...si'!?

  • @herbblood717 Scary? No. Honestly, if you think this is black metal then you're a huge retard. Honestly, you're an insult to burzum fans, especially when varg himself said he doesn't make black metal anymore you fucking loser LOL.

  • believe that the most trully thing he can do is to make an norweigan folk band.

Burzum has a unique sound, and a unique member that is not a headbanger!

I like the sonority of some old albuns, but this music is not good, there is no metal fellings here! Maybe he can join at Gaal´s band!

Fuck all the Gods, including Odin! Hail to S(cience)atan!

  • @disgraceofmetal listen to the whole album, then talk. btw, what 'gaahl's band' ? Wardruna? It's not gaahls, but ok.

  • Sounds like old nordic ritual music........

  • I'm making music with a friend since Idicovered music like that.... :-)

  • The beginning actually sounds pretty cool. Won't lie. Varg still sucks though.

  • Does anyone know what he's saying in the middle part?

  • @Azazelski

    i don't know....

    maybe: gölöölgölölölgölölölölgölölölölölölögölölölöölölölölöölölölölölölggelohgölölölölöllgölölglölölgölöl

    jeljeljeljeljeljel

  • It's great to listen to this song before going to sleep :)

  • @Archferumphis If you want to dream about being haunted by an army of ghost-vikings...

  • Anyone want the tabs for the acoustic at the end?

  • For me I think this just oozes out influence from bands he's probably not had the chance to check out whilst around until his release. Specifically Nile and some Behemoth from this song and maybe some Opeth/ Agalloch for the rest of the album. I have only heard this album once now and I haven't heard Belus yet.

  • @NeroAngelo616 He says in some interview , he doesnt listen to metal....just some The Cure songs and classic compossitions

  • @NeroAngelo616 I don't know Varg personally, but I don't think he's interested in Behemoth or Nile.

  • purely amazing..

  • I can hear "hjelpe meg". In that point of the song, we're probably in hell.

  • at some points it sounds like he's whispering 'Helvete'

  • Filosofem is better.

  • @bankaibuddy15 That's like saying 'sex is better'. It's almost always going to be true, so doesn't really have any meaning.

  • @tobysfig Ha, yeah, you're right.

  • now that's one long intro :D

  • @apokalipsbg i think this is the outro not the intro

  • genius

  • @manoloculiao geniusme loh cohcoh

  • this is Innovative and very interesting at the same time and thats unusal.. very very nice

  • Maybe some influence here from Wardruna??

  • was great, excellent work on "Vanvidd".

  • masterpiece
