  • Not the best example of a proper Dock; but a MILLION times better than the irresponsible non Cropped and Docked euro bastardized COON HOUND.....

Still a lovely pup; but not show material; but then again they all can't be.

    Cheers

  • What's the stick you are letting him chew on?

  • @CoachTerp Hello CoachTerp.

The baiting I was using that day was a cheese string. I also use a bowl sometimes with a little chicken broth just so it gives my fingers a rest. They tend to pull less and feet placement is easier when they are drinking the broth. I hope this helps.

  • nice pup, but certainly no where near show quality. down faces, straight shoulders, poor top line.

Be curious to hear if this dog ever finished his championship

  • @38jewelrymaker Hello38jewelrymaker

The tail set is what I hate the most, and the length of the docking just emphasizes this.

All the pups are still health enjoying life with their owners.

None seen the ring, Although one should of but the cards where not in our favor.

    Do appreciate your honesty.

    Good luck.

  • very nice...hang in there and ignore the know it alls. and remember, you can always take off more tail :)

  • @ggoblue Thank you ggoblue

I have had 1 litter since and things are looking great.

I'm actually going to our Doberman Pinscher Club of Canada Nationals. 72 Dobe entries.

Blows my mine. to see that many beautiful Dobes in one area.

Again thanks for vote of confidence.

  • Stacking is usually done 4 show purpose. You can believe this or not, but a well bred purebred dog stands in a stacked position quite easy. Fact the stacked pose comes quite naturally as it is a natural stance 4 any breed.Only difference is with a trained dog he will hold that pose a longer. An untrained dog will still stack on his own but not 4 a long period of time. Maybe you have seen this stance in your own dog, but only 4 a minute or 2 until till that stranger passes your property.

  • stacking is perferd on the list "HAVE TO DO" cuz you want your doberman to be polite and scary to robbers. am i right?

  • @CommentsForYou1 Hello CommentsForYou1

Stacking is mostly used in the Conformation show ring, It is a natural stance for any breed of dog.

It not only makes the Doberman look impressive, but any other breed of dog as well. Could be a toy Poodle or a Bull Mastiff when they are in their natural stance or stacked possition all are beautiful, The Doberman steals my heart.

    My best.

  • why are you trying to get this puppy to "stack"? this isn't a show quality dog, whoever did his tail should be shot for that atrocious job, lovely dog, but jesus christ lady leave him alone to be a puppy.

nice lines, but DREADFUL tail crop.

  • Dear Jesus

I will agree with you on the tail crop I was not happy at all. But I disagree with you on show quality.

And stacking a puppy is not harmful in anyway, in fact it can be fun and they do enjoy it, but like with everything in life it just takes practice. No person goes out in their Range Rover for the first time and completes a pro coarse for mud bogging with out getting stuck and having to be pulled out a few times. Practice Practice and have fun doing what you enjoy. I enjoy showing

  • Like most dogs with jobs this one has his, Its up to me to make it fun or not. 15 mins a day is nothing compared to the out come of a well trained puppy. No different than going to obedience class one night a week.

Maybe others should do things with their dogs other than just let them run in the yard. Dobermans are a working dog and they strive on a regular routine.

  • @484034970 my dog hates it when i try this and will struggle so tht destroys ur logic as in saying dogs enjoy it

  • @slice0001 Hi Slice0001

I would not say this destroys my logic, I would say that it is new to your pet and maybe you are not doing it right. No dog or puppy should feel discomfort from standing in a natural stance. Maybe you could find someone in your area to help you out.

    I wish you the best.

  • @484034970 my dogs dont feel any discomfort they just dont like being forced to do it

  • Stacking is the term used when placing the pup in a correct show pose. While in this pose, you are able to determine the top line. Bone structure, Neck , paws and for to many angles.

It is very difficult to do with young pups as you can see from the video.

If you watch my best friends video you will see my male in many stacked photo's

And if you like you can visit my web site to see more stacked photo's of Dobermans. Nothintohide.

  • what is stacking?

  • he has a beautiful head and lovely rich markings, his top-line seems a little weak though? But maybe its just the position?

  • does he try to bite you sometimes

  • Your darn right he does.

  • pero ke tiernos cachorros!
