  • Jon, I have a 993 tt that looks to be the same color. Is yours turquoise green metallic too?

  • bad ass bro. I'm in the market soon for a 911 04

  • @airjoc2004 I wouldn't mind not being able to hear the radio! :)

    lovely noise pollution!

  • 993's are the best and coolest car porsche has made.

  • ruined a porsche

  • i came...

  • wow 32000 views??? awesome!

  • DAMN WHAT A SOUND!!!!!

  • Holy shit.....

  • now, that scares the shit out of me :D

    5/5

    ;)

  • oh man you need to get some gum gum tape and fix that .

  • @purdey72 gum gum tape??? this thing is solid, air tight, no coolant, bullet proof, air-cooled racing history man, it's a Porsche. Shut up and get back in your 1980s 1990s Taurus I mean Z28 and/or Mustang and/or even shittier Camaro RS.

  • That sound is incredible. The 993 is the ultimate Porsche.

  • Lovelly.

  • sounds exactly like a lion! i wonder how this would be to live with haha

  • dude, this sounds like my neighbors' Civic(which has a Corvette racing engine, by the way. but that Civic is just noisy, this is music!!!!).

  • I now have B&B Triflo headers, Fabspeed 200-cell sport cats, and Fabspeed Maxflo mufflers. I do miss the monstrosity of the straight pipes' noise, but the extra horsepower and throttle response from the headers is AMAZING!

  • that sounds vicious man

  • did you try the sound deadening mat on the inside against the firewall, the aftermarket ones are supposed to make a big differance

  • Yea I loved it at first, but now I'm going to go all out with B&B headers and exhaust. Straight pipes is slightly too loud hehe.

  • Haha yea I work nightshift so when I get home the neighbors are all off to work anyway so I'm kind of like their pseudo alarm clock.

  • I thought I replied but I guess I didn't. So the previous owner bought these custom "J-Pipes" off of ebay for less than 500 he said, but I saw some really nice pipes by Fabspeed called the "Supercup" exhaust for $900 on the Pelican Parts website. I'm thinking of upgrading to those since they look like they're very high quality and they're shinier too.

  • Is it street legal to delete the mufflers on straight pipe installs?

  • This car is street legal and passes smog with flying colors. As long as you leave the catalytic converters intact, it should be legal. Although I haven't yet been pulled over for noise issues, but then again there are American muscle cars and Harleys that are just as loud if not louder than my car.

  • Hahaha wow man that was the best description of anything that I've ever heard.

  • I totally agree with this assessment!!!

  • Niceeeeeeeeeeeee.

  • thanks!

  • I love 993's. See my vids, we got one.

  • that really sounds like a lion :D

  • well I guess lions are "discusting" as our friend misspells down there. haha LIONO!!! Thundercats HOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • haha.. the ant goes beserk when the throttle was put to the floor! haha.. proof of the straight pipes indeed!

  • Discusting, straight pipes never sounded good on the 911. Backfires like crazy

  • Jon, nice! A little more raw than mine. Would like to hear yours at full throttle.

  • Thank you. I had not kept up on Porsches nor any other sportscars since 1979 really. I feel that aircooled is more efficient and has less maintenance and is lighter and more fuel efficient too.

  • There is a small creature walking, like an ant maybe, and changing directions, in the lower half of the screen. I love that sound by the way!!! Now why do they call the new 911s like this one 993s? They still make air-cooled, right, I wish?

  • Yea they stopped making air-cooled 911s in 1999 with the introduction of the 996, whose market values have fallen below those of 1995-1998 models. You can get a water-cooled 1999 911 Carrera for like 25 grand, where as some air-cooled 1995-1998 911 Carreras are going for 40-60 grand.

  • Don't get me wrong I'd love to have a 2002-2005 911 no doubt; the ones where they changed the headlights so that all 911s had Twin Turbo headlights, and when they returned to 3.6L engines like the 95-98s, instead of the 3.4L engines of the 1999-2001 Carreras. For a 02-05 Carrera, I would switched to water-cooled no doubt, but 99-01, no thanks.

  • oh man, i want a 993...last air cooled 911 right?

  • Yup last air cooled 911 indeed!
